This is my understanding as well, to a degree. We haven't bothered checking PH due to the soil being built all organic; I was told countless times in the organics sub forum that PH isn't a concern if I followed these recipes correctly. It could be PH, but why would it only show up in one plant the way it has? All of them are in the same soil and get watered exactly the same. If it were PH, I would think all of them would be having the problem (at least those of the same strain). Next time around though, we'll pay more attention to PH.
Thanks for stopping by!
in organic you don't have to worry about pH is a faulty statement.
When growing organic, lots of people use garden lime in their soil, these people don't have to worry too much about it. The lime is essentially "powdered base slow release", and as soon as anything liquid comes in contact with it it dissolves (giving off Magnesium and Calcium, another good reason to add some) , therefore neutralizing the acids. You can dump straight fertilizer with pH of 4 in the soil, the runoff will be pretty close to 7.
I don't know if you used lime in your soil, because if there is no lime, pH plays a big role. Sorry man, i am not trying to tell you how to grow, i am just adding some knowledge i learned with my current grow.
Your plants look great by the way. The plants start to use up all their stored nutrients at the end of their life, so by the looks of it, you're at the end of the summer and the beginning of fall. Harvest should be near. So about these deficencies i wouldn't worry too much, as long as the rest looks fine. The plant also throws off the big leaves because most of it's energy consuming growing is done now, it doesn't need them anymore. The removal of the leaves (don't take 'em off though, the plants feed off it), will also allow the last warm rays of the fall sun to reach the flowers. So, your plants obvioulsy seem to like their environment and are right on schedule with everything. Looks like you got another 15 - 20 days to go.
