Do you mean they should be taking earlier medman or later? What's your window that you think they should be taken medman? Mine are at around day 30ish or a little less of actual flower not since flip though more like day 40 since light change. I had a few issues with ph fluctuations and mine are really starting to stack really good now where you notice the buds filling in everyday and swelling. I thought in one of the threads that these should go no longer than 55 days but I could be wrong. Mike

in my experience, once thc starts degrading to cbd you get a major loss in effect and taste.

but some guys dont mid that. to be honest, i grow 30 different kinds for the variences. cbd gives the same effect. dry mouth and go to sleep not to fun for me

i notice almost everything i have, with the exception of the silver skunk and a couple others that 60 days is the perfect time. but that is for me in my grows with my methods etc etc

Whenever I have a session most times I feel like I have been running through the Sahara desert with no water but I also smoke cigarettes. At the same time though I feel what you are saying medman but most indicas I feel if they don't put you to sleep they are week. I do see alot of satty in these crosses though I have one that is more indica leaning and looks like it will be the fatest buds out of the 3 but the other 2 have such a sweet smell to them. Whenever I pull leaves off the plants I get resin smears on my finger nails they are greasy bitches and I like it!! Just don't like all the leaf they have would of been great if they stretched more but what can u do. Peace mike

you can grow a sativa and still get no flavor, changed smell and sleepy effect if the thc is allowed to degrade. i have found this a constant over 20 years.

I trust everything you say medman I have been growing about the same amount of time you might have a couple of years on me. I also have Been on and off for those years because of certain circumstances. A lot has changed over the years with everyone being able to share info and techniques that you couldn't find years ago because we had no Internet to turn to. I feel what you are saying though especially if you take it to long and the cbd effects take over. Good info medman. Mike

my peeps are all for aroma and taste first,,potency second,,try to aviod strains that dry up the mouth and put you to sleep,,dont dig those strains but know they have there uses,,,

Ok under magnification there are some amber so I will cut tonite all but 2 stragglers. Maybe sativa influenced don't know they are filling out from a skinny pole to a beefy cola. Peace sdd thanks Medman

I ended up chopping RKS Female #2 today on day 67. It had 100% milky trichs, so it could have went a few days longer but it was popping late flowering nanners and I got worried they might seed my other plants.

Although Im pretty sure the nanners were sterile as none of them opened up.

Anyhoo, while working in the garden tonight I gave a good whiff to the skunks. It looks like female #4 is showing strong potential to be skunky. I even got a second opinion and asked somebody else to do a smell test. They said they get more skunk like smells from it then any of the others. I agree, it definitely has the right characteristics to develop true skunk odor, it has a weird nose burning quality to the smell.

Very nice hiding your plants came out great looking!! That's the only thing I wish they would do maybe next time med-man when he breeds the next round use a strecthy skunky male to hopefully help these babies strech a little to help with all the leaf. Either way they look like winners nice job hiding and med-man for making the cross! Peace

#4 is the clear winner when it comes to stretch, I think it is the best out of all of them in all categories so far.

I personally could care less what they grow like, if I could find something that legitimately smells like skunk I'd be very happy.

I think any "roadkill" skunk you find is probably going to look pretty indica.

I threw away the female #1 plants I had in veg tonight, even tho it was good just not what I was looking for so now I'll hold on to #2,3 and 4 til they finish. I also saved a male just in case I find something epic that needs to be immortalized in my seed collection.

I'm going to have to start researching new strains soon, I just put a bunch of new stuff in veg but after that Im out of ideas of new strains to grow.

The main thing is the smoke,taste and high I guess I just feel the arthritis setting in my hands and I haven't even trimmed one up yet. Lol. Mine are smelly really good also but I would have to say mine smell more fruity then anything else but it's a good smell intoxicating. I am sure it will change being I have about 30 more days to go.

Mine barely stretched at all it was crazy not even double they would be great plants for micro grows or sea of green because you will be able to predict them pretty easily I feel. I also kept none of mine unless one shines really well at the end and I'll just reveg her and make her a momma plant. I would love another crack at them but this time a soil grow or a 50/50 soil/coco mix. Either way thanks goes to medman for letting us test them.

Thanks 944s2, I wish these pics came out better but I was in a rush these buds actually look much danker in person.

The RKS #2 dries into white colored buds loaded with crystals. I'll get some dried pics up in a few days.

one thin is for sure i notice about all my old skunk lines. they do nanner past or during peak.

even my silver skunk which has a very old skunk line in her can throw a couple steril nanners past peak. its a trait i remember seeing in road-kill buds here and there when i was 13-17 yo.

the key is trying to find that odd smelling "mexican" looking plant
like this:

they got quite a bit of overnuting in this salad grow unfortunatly, but the idea is there. i notice mexicans always bring out nice a real dank skunk in most ther progeny with afgahnicas and some other types of lighter smelling skunky strains light my master kush

this was just a test run of my skunks i released to ic, the #1's

the #1;s stretch way more. i think the indica skunk line (#2 x #1) is very dominant. i always find lots skunks in the #1. maybe 1 in 10 with the #2. i didint know how big c was going to send out the testers.

the #1 tend to gorw more like afghanicas in the veg (*lie og;s and mk;s), and finish more mexican/columbian. i notice you are getting that acid skunk smell on your fave. that is a static odor from all the #1's. its the bottom that is rks. there is rubber, sweet but skunk and road kill, all having that nose burning odor. chemical odor etc i actually wish now you got both #1's and 2's to side x side with. i have been shown some pics of guys waiting to release their grows and they look bang on road-kill. who knows maybe the "chem dawg" line originated from the afghanicas of this skunk line?

i admitt they are not stable. and thats what i am working on. there was no mom. all stock was seed. no matter the tone, the skunk bottom is always there. i am very interested to see what your cured product gives
