Hi noreason, thank you for this thread mate, this was my first attempt at the gravity method,,, the only step that I did differently was tilt the bucket @ 45 deg while waiting for the glands to settle,,, after I took this pic I sat this bucket inside another bucket @ 45 deg to keep it sturdy. The only other procedure differrent was I used a 220 work bag under the colander to help collect plant matter.
This is from outdoor buds, bubbles & melts like a dream, :yummy:

Thank you for posting and thanks to Psuper too :)

Tilt the bucket is a simple and good idea,it helps in removing the water. :good: and if you used a 220 bag,you should had very good result too,but I think the secret is to suck the water with the syringe or whatever from the surface...so it sucks also smaller green part under than 220µ,but not the heavier resins glands ;)

Your hash is very dark, someone could thing this is due to the time hash was exposed to air,but seeing the resin gland still in the water, they are already dark.
What this mean? Why they are so dark?it's only genetic or something related to ripen glands?Did you use dried or fresh material?
Sorry for all these questions,I'm curious :)

Noreason, all good questions mate, to be honest I'm not sure, could be a number of factors, the genetics or climate etc ? ,,,, I used fresh frozen plant matter (trim & buds), I mixed for 5 min, drained through colander & bag then waited 1 hr before removing water, then another 15 min in coffee cup, a syringe to siphon off the top floaties & a 6mm hose to remove water from bucket. The plant was max 8/9 wks into bloom. I'll make some more soon with diff plants/genetics & see how they turn out. :tiphat:

Hey noreason, if you want the best way ever to light your hash in a bong, a magnifying glass and a bit of sun are unbeatable.. il sole italiano è molto indicato per questo :)

great thread. +1 should be a sticky.

i learned a lot.

in the future i will not be adding so much ice. also i will not be pressing wet hash.

and the tip about letting dry material rehydrate for a minute is brilliant.

Looks very melty, and even more tasty!

Extremely oily! I see all the oil comes down from the top of the bowl when heated, like a real oil would do.
Taste? Impressive! Never smelled an hash with a so intense fragrance.

bump! should be sticky!

It will be good to see this thread sticky as it's a great method to make quality hash, and I mean high quality ;)

Thank you HB :)
Let's try to add few ice cubes, just to keep the water as much cold as it can.If you see the cubes disappear just add some more ;)

I will update this thread with one more extraction in some times.I'm collecting right now a good amount of quality trimmed leaves and some little buds from several genetics and this time I will make a video tutorial if my lovely wife will help me :D

Keep it concentrated dudes

Hi noreason, how have you been mate (had ricotta & spinach cannelloni for dinner tonight, yummm!)

I managed to achieve a bit of blonde from some of the outdoor this season but I have no idea what strain it was from,,, all of this gravity gear bubbles & melts nicely.
Have fun making the video :)

work, work and work. That's my summer bro.I didn't have time to make some extraction and the trim is stored and ready to be processed ;)
Your stuff looks awesome indeed, but I have a question for you:
did you press the thricomes?
I'm almost sure that a part of smell go away if thrics are pressed together, did you notice this?

Enjoy your kitchen affair bro,I'm happy you like our traditional dishes.Who knows....maybe a day we will enjoy both eating and smoking together :)

:thank you: I should have some trim soon , now i know what to do with it:tiphat:

Good! Let's share your results mate!
