I'm pretty sure growing in any state with out a recommendation is a felony. I'm also pretty sure denver is the only city where an adult over the age of 21 can posses marijuana.

http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/4570.html

Denver decriminalized possision of less than an ounce several years ago.
Unfortunatly the Denver PD would often contact the feds for Felony charges.
Ain't that nice of 'em?
And the DA is now Mayor of Denver ( aka cop boss)

The popular vote is going directly against the mind set of the legal eagles of the state.

kinda cool huh?

that includes anyone growing without a doctors recommendation, correct?

Correct. In Colorado, cultivation without a doctors recommendation is a felony offense.

Of course, what you may eventually be charged with and convicted of depends on the vagaries of the legal system. Where I live, I expect a personal grow with a few plants would wind up bargained down to a misdemeanor.

denver is one of the best citys in the usa in my opinion! boulder has some annoying aspects but overall a pretty cool town, the springs is just pretty much military and republicans, all in all co is where it's at.

with as easy as it is to get a doctors rec, i dont see why anyone would grow illegally.
just my opinion though.
well if it's 2 ounces max and like 6 plants, unless you're doing a flouro grow or something, what's the point?

I had a friend here show me that a case in boulder was given a free pass because of the vagueness of the law, but a simple google search turns up 30 or so that were given no such pass.

I could very well be missing something-I usually am, lol. But I don't get the whole Colorado being relatively safe for growers thing that is tossed around. Looks like the laws for growers are pretty gosh darn harsh if you ask me.

are you saying that 3 plants flowered isnt enough for personal use?
It can be, sure. But 2 ounces? Especially when you consider that a pig will probably weigh it wet and or with soil included. That's basically a useless number. But as a member here informed me, the bill is written very vaguely and as such he believes there is a good chance that any competitent jury would acquit a medical grower as per their inability to prove any amount is above and being the amount deemed medically necessary(that's not verbatim, but the jest of it). Now whether or not that would stand up in court with any degree of consistency is something that I highly, highly doubt.

I hope I'm wrong though. Thankfully for you all, I often am.

:joint:

EDIT: I realize now I just repeated myself. lol. Sorry Kelly. All nighter and that, forgive me.

Doctors are giving recs for higher plant counts and dry weight limits for people who say they prefer to eat cannabis. Don't know how well this holds up in court but it's worth looking into.

It holds up for a defense in court , as long as you can prove it's medically necessary, so if you got caught with serious weight it might be harder to prove.

There is no traid jobs in Co Springs, even flipping burgs are filled up. Now all the cov stores are cutting hrs. Been here just over a month and have filled out 15 apps and not even one call. So if you don't have a job to go to here your chances finding one is slim at best.

but I must say the quality of kind bud from my dealer in d-town has been excellent as of late

Interesting story. This same dealer got busted a few weeks ago. He got caught selling red handed with 7 sacks of weed and $950 cash on his person. But get this, he claims the Denver DA says the city is not prosecuting these type of cases and he was only required to pay a fine. I forgot to ask if the cops kept his stash and cash but I imagine he was out that too. Not good to lose so much money but at least he wasn't locked up!

The corridor between Denver and Boulder has a strong economy, at least stronger than many parts of the country. Computer/technical skills are especially in demand.

d-town is nothing but a cow town and everyone should stay away ;) in fact, white people shouldn't even be in my hood (j/k) :D lol

Keep it personal and at 3 flowering plants and that will probably be the case 95% of the time. Leave the plastic baggies in the kitchen drawer.
