About partner concerns: You're already in it together, and have done stuff together in the past. I'm sure he'll grow with the plants, as will you
If he's getting paranoid then it's probably due to a healthy sense of reality and he's perhaps just the type of person who wants to share it instead of "playing tough" - if that's the case then appreciate it. We all get a little sweaty sometimes when a car pulls up close to our house don't we?
A little paranoia is good as long as you can keep it in check and still do the "right things". I'm sure both of you know how (and how not to) spend the kind of money you'll probably be making now

I was thinking about it and I feel you should start teaching your partner about his rights. If he is already paranoid as it is maybe he needs to be walked through some different situations so that he knows how to act. I mean what would happen if he was working at your site and the police showed up? Would he know to act cool or would he start sweeting bullets? Even if their visit had nothing to do with the grow if he got really nervous it could arouse suspicion. Or if they showed up with just a hunch and no warrant would he know how to handle himself? Do you yourself know what to do in situations like these. With that setup I think you need to be prepared for as many different situations as possible and just hope none of them ever happen. I would spend some serious time in the security and legal forum. Know your states laws, I'm assuming you're in the states. Know the leo agencies policies that are in your area, some are much harsher than others when it comes to busting an op like yours. And make sure you pay that power bill on time. While you have stated you have done some big grows already I think it will be very important to your partner up to date on what to do if the sh*t where to hit the fan. Good luck.

I dont think Frank is being hard. I agree. The partner has already shown paranoia by shutting off the A/C. Dont assume he knows what to do because he has shown he doesnt. Simply talk to him, lay out a couple different scenarios and explain it to him.
He may not like to hear this but he probably isnt going to know the cops are there when they decide to serve a warrant. It will be 3-4 AM when he is sound asleep. Any other time he needs to limit interaction by not answering the door, etc.
Some people may think I am crazy but my whole family has had conversations including my kids. They know to never answer the door, not talk to the cops etc.
Building and electrical are not that hard. Its not like you need to do it to pass inspection A little reading of some books from Home Depot and help here, you can get all the info you need. Then in the future you can go solo

Around harvest, there is trimming, clean up, cloning, etc and I stay pretty busy for 7-8 days. Then 7-8 days of nothing. Maybe adjust PH, mist clone domes etc. 45 minutes max.

Hey, I really want to thank everyone for chiming in. It's been a couple days since I've updated and I have a little time right now, so here goes.
FrankRizzo - I appreciate your concerns with respect to the ole partner. We had talked about doing this setup for a couple months. After the A/C incident with him shutting it off, and after WWIII died down, I did indeed sit him down and have a very serious talk with him. Our legal rights and what to do in certain situations are often a topic of our conversations anyway. I put it to him in no uncertain terms that if the worst were to EVER happen, that it is ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT for him to say NOTHING without his lawyer being there.
To be perfectly honest, the man has definitely pulled his shit together in the paranoia department. He got a little nervous in the beginning of getting shit set up and that got his mind racing and thinking of every imaginable scenario of things that could go wrong. Which is GREAT, don't get me wrong, but a lot of this shit his head was coming up with was WAYYY out there. He finally said that he was very nervous because he wouldn't be there 24/7 in case something did go wrong, like a fire. He's cool now.
And about the whole partner thing in general. I'll be the first to admit that I am one control-freak-motherfucker when it comes to growing pot. If I had it my way, I would not have a partner at all. But this guy is a friend of my family's and he had something that I didn't have at the time: property.
After an incident years ago, I vowed to never shit where I sleep ever again.
So we're friends. We have a good relationship. Every relationship has its bumps. We go through the shit. We enjoy the rewards. Everything is shared and for the most part, everything is great. But when it's shitty, I want to break the fucker's neck...but I feel that way about my girlfriend too sometimes
As far as the room goes, I've decided I'm not going to make any changes at this time. They simply aren't needed right now to keep the room cool, and I've already got a million plants moved in there. yamaha_1fan, I really like that design though and will most likely implement it while these ladies are hanging and drying. I may have to go with like 10" or 8" ducting on the outside because my hoods are 6", or do you think that won't matter and just go with 12" around the outside?
I don't have any pictures, but nothing too exciting is happening yet anyway. I bent/broke them all just about in half a few days ago and sprayed them all with neem oil yesterday to kill any mites that might be around. I'll do the neem thing every other day or so until flowers start showing just to be sure. This is a new place, and mites are no fun.
I'll post some pics once they all perk up from their breaks.

I would go with 12" because you will be feeding multiple branches. The more air, the better
I am no expert on this and I would suggest posting a new thread in the design forum when the time comes. You may also need dampners/balancers etc. There are people here that know alot more about this than I do.

I meant nothing harsh by my last statement. I just figured maybe if the old timer knew more about how to act, what to do if things got ugly his mind might be a bit more at ease. I know the more I have learned about my rights the less I fear interactions with the police. I don't want them to happen period, but if they do I'm more knowledgeable about how they are fucking with me.

as to the cat asking about him burning up 100 amps, that is why large homes have 200 amp service.....sometimes people use lots of juice.

LOLI just wanted to point out, it can be done solo. Actually look at alot of the larger grows here. Stoney, Asher, PimpJuice, I know theres more. They are all solo. At least I think so.
I just want Philly to know it can be done solo should he decide to choose that route. he should never feel tied or married to this guy.

Hey folks, how's everything going this evening?
I just got back from hitting the ladies with their dose of neem oil tonight. I did actually notice a couple mites on a few of the plants several days ago. Upon further investigation this evening, I was unable to find any live mites. I'm really good with neem oil and if you hit em every other day for a couple weeks, you should be just fine. Mites sure are a motherfucker though. Definitely something you can't slack on and they can make your life miserable if they aren't eradicated early on.
Anyhow, I snapped a few shots before I left the room. I know some people ask to see more photos, but I REALLY hate popping photos under the HPS. So, I'll keep the photo updates down to about a weekly basis or so. I'll jump in a minute before the lights go on so they don't look like such shit. Here:
And here's a shot of some babies you guys might want to keep your eyes on in the long term, I know I will be.
There's a pretty cool story behind these plants. Several months ago, my good Pakistani friend went back to his homeland to get married to his very beautiful wife. He's a daily smoker and knows very well of my greenthumb. From previous visits, he knew of the cannabis scene there and was very eager to send me some of the beans from his locale in Pakistan. We discussed how he was going to ship them over and I gave him my safe addy and we crossed our fingers.
A week or so after he was there, he called me, sadly, to tell me that there were absolutely no packages being allowed to be sent from Pakistan until further notice. When he came home, he told me that hope wasn't yet lost, as he left my info with his relatives and as soon as the package ban was lifted, they would send me the beans.
A couple weeks later I got a call from him. "Dude, I was getting ready to go to the mosque to pray and I reached into the pocket of the clothes I wear for prayer and you WOULD NOT believe what I found!"
He had 12 nice, plump seeds. He told me that when he was in Pakistan, he would be hanging with his brothers-in-law before prayer and puff down and shit. After picking the seeds out of the herb (he was the only one that did this, as most folks over there think that smoking straight herb makes you crazy; they all smoke hash), my boy would put them in his pocket and play Johnnie Appleseed and sow the seeds all over the Pakistani countryside.
He must have forgotten he had them in there and flew back to America with them in his pocket. His prayer clothes that had the bean in them were even washed and hung out to dry in the Pakistani sun and all 12 beans still germinated.
These are pure landrace genes. Like I said, they make hash out of all the herb that is grown there. They dry the plants on the roof in the sun, if you can believe that shit. As far as we know, these plants have never been grown indoors. They're from the Baluchistan region, so I think I'm gonna call them the Baluchi's. I'm looking forward to growing them out, for sure.

Things are going pretty well. They've been about a week at 12/12 now and there are filling out the room nicely. Another week and it will be quite a jungle.
