I think the coteldyns are yellow because you started them in the rockwool where they may not have had enough nutrients. And the spots you have on 1 of them may be because your mix was too hot at first. I wouldnt give them any more nutrients for at least 2 more weeks. Anyways im no expert , yet anyway. Just wantedtosay hi and good luck. Congrats on the new babies.

The cotty's actually go yellow when all of the nutrients they're supplying to the newborn seedling are depleted. At least, that's the way I understand it. So there's nothing really off about them being yellow; they're of no use anymore. Someone correct me if I'm off here.

The only thing we plan to water them with for now is the tea I described in my post above, which contains dilute amounts of Liquid Karma, EWC's and blackstrap molasses. That's it with the exception of a guano tea right before they go to 12/12 and another (different) guano tea about 2-3 weeks before harvest.

Just wantedtosay hi and good luck. Congrats on the new babies.

Thanks for the well wishes and for stopping by to chat; you're always welcome!

Great news friends, the Blue Mystic beans not only popped, but all 3 of them are now pushing through the surface of their cubes! We finally got them germinated and sprouted. We'll name each of them soon and post some pics once they stand up tall. Sweet!

Yeah, decisions, decisions. I thought about putting this one in Grow Diaries, but I figured it would just get buried and relegated to page 4. So since this is a micro grow (despite the large size of the cab) we decided it fit best here.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out!

I'll def stay tuned, to see how they do.:lurk:

Hey Beak! Thanks for stopping by. You were the one who turned us on to The Pure, so thanks for that. Glad to have you with us.

on peanut pure, you see the little serrated edge on the leaf yellowing only at the tips all along the side of the leaf. thats usually a warning of a mag def. i wouldnt worry about it now, just watch it and see if it progresses. if its mag it will yellow up al along the edges like a V then the middle of the leaf in between the veins will yellow. sort of like this.
lol the pictures in the old gallery are all out of order, i had to look through every page to find this. good thing the site is on a new server. it would have taken 5 hours on the old server instead of the 5 minutes it took me.

The yellowing on Peanut worried us too. We kept an eye on it and noticed that it had started to turn a more lime green color over the past week (we believe due to them getting used to the soil and the tea watering we did the other day). Not sure what the cause was, but she's looking much better. You can't likely see the subtle change in the pics though because we're still not the best photographers!

Thanks for the feedback and advice! We'll certainly look for any progression.

Can anyone tell me which moderator can change the subject line of this thread? I need to update it to read Blue Mystic instead of Spice, if possible.

I know we promised a pic of the new ladies, so here it finally is:

Baby, BillyJean & Bonita 2-11-09; our new Blue Mystic sprouts!
picture.php

They're growing really fast, so much so that BillyJean already has a root coming out of the bottom of her cube! They're all fairly tall to, for only being in rockwool a few days.

Today we took the dome off and put them under the light with the Pure ladies. I was worried about the fan being too strong, but we set it up just right so that they get a slight breeze but don't get blown over. They seem to be loving the light and the breeze so I suppose we did it up right. We also put the heat mat under the tray they're in so they might stay a tad warmer than ambient (at least their roots). I'm thinking we'll be transplanting into soil within the week! Exciting stuff.

We haven't had time to work on the cab yet this week, though we have spent time discussing how the rest will come together. Hopefully our plan works and we should have it done soon. I'm not going to give an ETA, because I know that'll just doom us to taking 3 times as long.

More to come soon, smoke a joint and stay a while! :joint:

Looking good K.J.! (and his better half)

When did they sprout? I think my seedlings are at the same age...take a look:
