I realize how completely off topic we have become... but I was hoping the narcstoppo would have brought us back around to the thread topic...

And shot down the shop talk!

See what I did there??

In fair doubt of our antiballoon technology I think I should form a private model rocket defense company.

I once, many years ago, had planned to attach an Estes rocket launch pad and wire rail to a square of plywood, attached with a functional pivot to a camera tripod, achieving an 'aimable' rocket launcher.

Yes, I was sometimes a devious child, sometimes opening my Christmas presents early when I would discover them in my mother's closet, separating the wrapping paper very methodically with a razor blade, then re-taping them very carefully. I would act surprised on Christmas Day.

But alas, these days, all of that, the rocket plans, the Christmas present misbehavior and impatience, all of it.... probably terroristic behaviors or thoughts.

Fuck!! I'm probably looking at Gitmo or something similar, right?

Don't tell anyone.... please.

Damn. Now how am I meant to get my green out of Canada. I can't believe they shot me teenth down with a hellfire. Overkill or what. War in drugs is getting out of hand.
drug smugglers need to start using drones like Israel has. they've got some that look like buzzards. they just circle & circle, just like the real things. oughta be easy to fly across the border, drop your package & fly back home to "roost" for the night....

We use drone mosquitos with much smaller payloads. That way when they get shot down, or sucked into a jet's turbines, you only lose a little bit. It's the goddamned DEA's semi-retied, little old ladies with fly swatterrs that hit us the hardest. Bitches!!

From U2 flying by balloon View attachment 18812857
note that the U2 is above the balloon, which was cruising along at 60,000 ft according to news reports...only the pilots know how high it will go. known to be capable of more than 70,000 ft. i don't know how thin the atmosphere has to get before an aircraft can no longer maneuver... "help! i'm too high and i can't come down!" :shucks:

maybe not a source of the highest integrity
none the less, they usually have something when they go to print

EXCLUSIVE: Pentagon REFUSES to release footage of three UFOs shot down over Alaska by US fighter jets sidewinder missiles - despite admitting that images of the wreckage exist
Pentagon officials said they have footage of objects shot down over Alaska
Officials told DailyMail.com they could not release the images and said they had no timeline as to when or if the images of the wreckage would be available
The withholding is in stark contrast to the speedy release of information that came when an alleged Chinese spy balloon was shot down near South Carolina

another tidbit on the mysterious 3 UFOs, audio from one of the shootdowns
from a more sketchy source but seems to track with the record of events
were these just balloons? let's say I still have my doubts

On Sunday, F-16 fighter pilots intercepted and “decommissioned” a UFO in the sky over Lake Huron.

It was one of four mysterious UFOs that were shot out of the sky by the United States military over the past week.

US military officials have described the UFO over Lake Huron as an octagonal structure and a small, metallic balloon.

However, during a government briefing on Tuesday revealed that none of the debris from the UFO that was shot down has been found in the lake.

Government officials also admitted that they had not concluded with any certainty what the UFO was or what its origin is.

Monday night, The War Zone released audio recordings of the in-cockpit communications from the two F-16 fighter jets that were involved in the UFO takedown over Lake Huron.

In the audio, one F-16 pilot can be heard saying, “I wouldn’t really call it a balloon … I don’t know what … I can see it outside with my eyes. Looks like something … there’s some kind of object that’s distended… it’s hard to tell, it’s pretty small.”

“I’m gonna call it a balloon,” a pilot can then later be heard, describing the UFO.

The object that one of the F-16s shot down using an AIM-9X Sidewinder missile, at an altitude of approximately 20,000 feet, has been described by U.S. officials as an “octagonal structure” with strings attached to it.

According to the Pentagon, the object’s “path and altitude raised concerns, including that it could be a hazard to civil aviation. The location chosen for this shoot-down afforded us the opportunity to avoid impact to people on the ground while improving chances for debris recovery.”

“We did not assess it to be a kinetic military threat to anything on the ground,” the Pentagon added, “but assess it was a safety flight hazard and a threat due to its potential surveillance capabilities. Our team will now work to recover the object in an effort to learn more.”

Until that wreckage is recovered, the U.S. military is saying that it won’t rule out any explanation for what the object actually is. The same goes for previous flying objects shot down by U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor jets over Alaska and the Canadian Yukon in recent days, which followed the shooting down of a Chinese high-altitude balloon a week ago.

“The size of it, that would be challenging, it’s so slow and so small, I just can’t see it,” one of the pilots is heard saying in the cockpit audio. “Definitely smaller than a car.”

At another point in the cockpit audio, one of the pilots says, “Looking outside it’s like a black-ish, I’m gonna call it like a container, can’t really tell though what the shape is.”

Listen to the audio below while we wait for targeting pod imagery from the UFO incident over Lake Huron to be released. And for them to actually find the object that was shot down.
