Ok well I have been prepping for this for some time now and it has all fell into place. First off I want to thank a lot of you guys out there that have been in the trenches for all these years bringing all the knowledge to the Table. There are WAY too many too list individually so we'll just say if you contributed to this site in a Positive way this is for you.
Ok here we go I have been doing my thing in some what of a smaller scale not that what I am in now is very big, but you have to start some where right? Anyways before I was pretty much perpetual in a micro set up it was doing well but just not keeping up to my needs so I purchased a couple new tents to hopefully get my #'s up. Everything is pretty much new equipment except for some gear I am running in my mother, clone, juvie tent it is all from my last micro flower chamber.
I have gone vert, ever since I seen a few different set ups on here. I went with it in my micro box and am glad that I did, nothing like getting a 360 degree footprint and ever since I have never looked back.
Before I used 3 gallon smart pots with coco but this run I will be testing a PPK with a tester plant I have been working with to get everything dialed in for some Jedi youngsters I have getting ready for the big time.
Here is the flower tent its a 4x4x6.5' tent, Right now I have a quantum 600 in there but will be pulling another 400 for a mixed spectrum for flower. In the mean time this is just a 400 watt MH for veg until a few days before the flip, but that probably wont be for another week or so.
I have a 6 inch inline fan hooked up to a CAN 33 then threw a 6 inch duct muffler for the noise and I must say it works pretty well too.
The PPk is just a 15 gallon roughneck tote with a 250gph water pump for my pulse connected to a 6 inch hydro halo. I have a 5 gallon bucket set up to a float valve inside the tote for add backs. Basic PPK set up 1-1/2" sink Tailpiece for my wick. The top chamber was purchased and made before I knew about the wide rimmed being better and producing a bigger plant in its confines as D9 has come to find out so this should suffice until I get my main system set up, remember this is just a tester.
My main substrate is coco with a small amount of perlite mixed in. You should have seen the looks I got asking for Turface, people thought I was speaking in a different language. Needless to say the Coco will have to do. The perlite on top of the container was added for retaining moisture.
The 6 inch duct coming threw the tent was just until I receive my Honeywell in the mail. they are hard to get this time of year.
I will be feeding a modified version of the Maxibloom KISS method hence the modified I don't like the flush I get from the 2 weeks prior so I will be cutting the N out all together around the 5th week of flower and jumping to a flora bloom based mix with first koolbloom powder then liquid. This will all be down the road some so we can get into that later on, but for now its just Maxi at 7g/gal , dynagro pro-tek silicate at 5ml/g ,and Botanicare cal/mag at 6ml/gal. I use rain water and I also use the GH ph drops to test my water no PPM reader never really used one but so far haven't needed it. I dont put much faith into the shitty hanna testers and I really ain't running anything that constitutes spending $250 + for the blue labs tester so until then may the gods be in my favor he he he he he.
here is a cpl shots for your viewing pleasure, my photography skills suck so for that I am sorry. Hope you guys/gals enjoy, any and all questions please lets get this party started.
