Day 54 :: Lowryder #2 :: Aerogarden Grow

Hey guys!

Here are pictures from my 2nd attempt at growing...

I am on day 54 of the AF Lowryder #2 -

I stopped nutes at week 6 and have been using ph balanced water since...

I'm wondering if you all think I should flush the H20 and add light bloom nutes...!?!

In a few days (Thursday, Day 56) I'll be into week 8 - and the harvest is supposed to be in week 9 !?!

Just want to know if I'm on the right path...

Oh, and I did trim the plant to get light on the lower buds.

Comments? Suggestions?

:jump:

Any and all would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

You have some nice flowers there .
You are making a flush and you want to feed nutes again ?
You are maybe start flushing to early .

This is the info on them from the aerogarden website...

"Designed specifically for TALL gardens that use 3 grow bulbs. Our special, high output, full spectrum, energy efficient grow bulbs provide the optimal amount and type of light needed for robust growth. We recommend replacing your grow bulbs every six months to maximize their growing ability. Three Deluxe grow bulbs included."

I'm not sure what the wattage is...oh, that sounds horrible, geez.

It probably is a bit early-I won't do the flush but I am going to check the feeding schedule that came with the nutes- I think a light bloom regime- not sure.

Some grow guides say to use only ph balanced water after week 6 (and I'm almost at week 8) so I don't know if I should use nutes or not...

Some of the LR#2 grow guides say to switch light to 18/6 during flowering and others say 20/4 throughout... (which is what I have it on now). Any thoughts on that?

The Wattage is pretty important :) But well as long as you are happy :)

I think most of the growers here water with only water about 2-3 weeks before harvesting.

Id go with the 20/4 throughout :)

Edit: to be a bit more clear, your LR#2 harvest time is around 9 weeks, so you should stop with the nutes now and only give it ph-balanced water. And you don't have to harvest it at 9weeks if it doesn't look ready, don't be afraid to go for 10 weeks

!!!

Now in technicolor

Aerogardens are actually little DWC (or SWC?) units rather than aeroponic. Anyway, in hydro you can flush the last 1-2 weeks. In coco I noticed it requires a lot of flushing over a period of 1-2 days to remove as much salts as possible. In hydro 1 res change accomplishes this.

Don't go by what the label says (9 weeks?) - just go by what the plant tells you.. check trichome color or see the harvesting link in my sig

So you think I should change the res.?

What do you think about nutes? I'm thinking that I should use a fraction of the bloom nutrients??!

The trichomes have white and brown hairs that are beginning to twist together.. I'm worried I might wait too long to harvest...I've never done this before- well, not successfully.

Well if you're not even at week 9 yet im pretty sure its not time for harvest.

Give us a picture of a bud up close :)

Ohh! I don't plan to harvest now!

I am def. planning on waiting - just don't know how long. I found Zeus' take on harvesting-thank you btw- so I have that information now. I plan to really watch what the plant is doing-.

ie. hairs bending back into the buds.. etc.

Wish me luck!
