I've said this already, but the way I see it, it's not an issue of skin color, it's one of morality. As has been said here already, Obama has a lot on his plate. ALOT. Regardless of HOW he got the job, he DOES, and like anyone else he can't build Rome in a day. Patience my fellow stoney commrades.
Personally I'd like to see it our favorite herb legalized and taxed, but even if he doesn't, there's more than one way to skin a cat. At some point, when, I don't know, but eventually, the majority of US states are going to have adopted mmj and or decriminalized.
PB, if the 'hemp oil' used by Rick Simpson truly is a cure for diabetes, then until changes are made on the govt level, why not promote it under the radar? As the old saying goes, "the sqeaky wheel gets the grease", so stop sqeaking so loudly and make it a more underground movement. In a profit based society, where cancer is far more profitable TREATING instead of CURING, as immoral as that is, play the 'system' against it's self and keep it under the radar. Sure, it may not be right, but neither is profiting at the expense of human lives, and no matter what, Obama isn't going to be changing THAT any time soon. So we do what we HAVE to do to save the ones we can. It would be just as immoral for US to do ANY different.
At some point soon, Obama will have to address the issue of the fed raids, and that, just like the states' adoption of decriminalization and medical cannabis, will take some time.
As someone told ME recently, maybe directing my activist energy towrds what we CAN do would be more suitable and helpful for those that NEED the help. It's the just and noble thing to do considering the circumstances.
Trust me PB, I'm with you, but ranting on and on about the people Obama is 'responsible' for 'killing' is getting US and the reform movement no where. Use that energy in a more contructive way, brotha!
Do what we can for the people we can in whatever way is the most contructive.
I challenge anyone growing on a large enough basis to make their own hemp oil and get in touch with someone that can help get it to those who would want it and need it. Personally, I myself would do some independent testing, just to confirm the facts. THENtake the necessary actions to get it to the people under the radar.
Play the game the govt is so well adapted to. Subversion and coversion. Play the system the way they play US. Covertly and without knowledge our permission.
Just a thought
