Alpha Loaded...

Alpha Loaded...

Had my assistant over tonight to take cuttings, and help set the screens. Got all three lights of the OGHC topped and screened, and even got a couple branches woven. I have as much as three weeks before I am scheduled to flip this room to maintain 5 week rotations, but I may get to that 5 week rotation over the next couple crops. I think I will be Overgrown in 7-10 days...

I have just enough room to slip in between the two screens.

Due to the 5 picture limit, I am thinking of just doing the current week, plus the four preceding weeks, for comparison sake.

Lokking killer!!! How much water you going thru a day? I have a 4x8 table that's been drinking like 15-20 gallons a day, no joke. High temps, high co2, lot's of light. I had day 14 plants that were looking like yours, they are at like almost 4 weeks now, and still crankin'!!

I really like the simplicity of your set-up, any problems yet?

Looking good as usual bud!

Keep it up.

You think you might have to double up any of your trellis?
Thanks! I am not anticipating a second trellis as long as I weave during stretch. After stretch, the only growth upwards should be buds.
One thing that I did different in Alpha is one screen per light, with just enough room to get between. I also switched to the smaller 3.5" mesh, which will give me 4 times as many squares to weave branches into. My biggest complaint in Bravo is the larger mesh has so much less points to attach to. Some branches grew too tall, yet not tall enough to wrap around the nearest available string. I had to train them with plant wire to even out the canopy.

My feed tanks are 60 gallons, and it takes about 15 gallons for the system at high tide. As you know, they drink more later in flower, and I will be able to do the math as we go. I have a measuring stick, and a grow log for each room, so I will be able to calculate gpd.
The system wasn't as "simple" as it appears now. When each room had 66 plant sites, requiring 20-30 gallons of juice daily, all kinds of shit can go wrong...
My biggest concern right now is the lack of air exchanges. I have always done twice per minute as a minimum, but I have about a fourth of what I would require. Luckily, Alpha can go sealed with another $500. The hoods in Bravo are not daisy chained, so CO2 isn't an option in it's current configuration. It does make it the first room that needs to be converted to vert... I am thinking (4) 1kw, and (4) 600w mixed.

Nifty. Yeeeah... once every 8 minutes isn't so good. I've never gone over 5 and seen any kind of results worth mentioning... then again when I went over 5 I was screwing a lot of other stuff up too so w/e.

And thank you for permitting the short thread-jack.

I had another question for you. Have you ever run into problems with dispensaries or consumers complaining about taste/smell or anything else that could potentially be nute specific?

I'm in a bit of a different situation from you. If I use Jacks I have to report it and I'm concerned about a negative reaction to using non "name brand" fertilizers. Kinda worried people won't know the difference between Scotts and Peters and will get paranoid with any name they can't recognize. When I told the grow store guy I was getting set to try peters he thought I was talking about scotts and tried to sell me on a basic grow room design consultation. I don't think the local market knows much about alternatives to GH/AN/Canna/HG.

If you go to Medicine Bowl Collective's website, you will see 5 star reviews of my flowers. Some even remarked on how clean it burned, indicating a proper flush and cure. But I don't flush, I feed low EC, but the finished product speaks for itself. Clean Green, or whatever the fuck they call it now is a huge joke IMO. Salts are salts... As long as you understand the duration of systemic sprays such as Eagle 20 or Avid, it won't show up on a report, so why tell them?

Hydro stores wont carry JR Peters, or they wouldn't sell their overpriced bottles of salty water. I have turned on two large growers to it locally, and my predecessor and his wife are blown away at the results...

Its impressive how you were able to rock the ebb and grow right off the batt!

I think the scrog I have is 6x6 and I am familiar with the dilemma of nothing to weave to, but it seems to be working out so far.

Im having to defoliate the shit out of one strain, (I think its blue heron) while my sourd and 3kings are pretty much perfect.

Im itching to get the glue going in a scrog, I have it in a vert tree grow right now, but those lateral branches are just beggin me to be scrogged. I have never seen a strain with such heavy lateral branching before.

I hear you on the vigor of the Glue! I took tops off 3 plants, 6 days later I took 18 more cuts. I need to take one more round of cuts on those three tonight, and drop a screen on them. I wanted to wait until I had enough for a couple lights, but I will have an opening in 6 weeks in Bravo.
It wasn't exactly right off the bat. There were a couple of hickups, but the current routine is seamless. When I had 3" blocks, barely rooted, and thrown into the system, the moisture levels were too different.
Try to use the 3.5" netting next time if you can. As I was standing over the new screens last night, I couldn't stop grinning knowing how much easier this run will be...

Eyes in the sky :( The boss makes those calls, not me.

I'm glad to hear it works for you. I'll run a tester as soon as I can. Thanks.

Thanks bro! I am picking up some propane today for the burner, and will be testing to see how much heat it adds. Then I will either add exhaust with dampers, or AC, or both depending on the season. Then it will blow up for sure lol!!!

Are ya getting a burner with a 4" cooling sleeve? It's a metal sleeve that goes into the top of the burner and can have ductwork attached directly to it to get rid of the heat.

Your definetly gonna notice the heat. I can tell when mine kicks on because of the added heat. I can actually feel the room get warmer, then I look at the thermometer and the temp is up by 3-4 degrees. AC is the best way to deal with it imho.

Co2 saved my ass the other day. I was doing something in the flower room and unplugged one of the extraction fans that cools 2 1k's. Temps that night got up to 95f!!!!! Thank god the co2 is always jamming at 1500. Without it the plants would have surely been toasted.

Anyways.........rooms are looking sick arm. I can't wait to see how you do the glue. I wanna get your opinion of how it is compared to the deadhead. I have the glue, but your gonna finish flowering some by the time I'm putting some into flower. Your Deadhead you said was killer last round, so I wanna know how you think it stacks up against the glue...thanks bro.
