So I'm Trying a SCROG.....

BSR, Thanks for the visit. Yeah I'm pretty happy with the results so far. Might be a week or two, trichs are getting cloudy. The plant on the left tends to be a slow finisher, I never grew Frosted Flake before so We'll have to wait and see. But the buds are fattening up, and thats a good thing. I'll get a pic or two up today on the now screenless scrog.
nice lookin plants dude, gonna be tricky nuggs, full of sweet trik's...ill be watching grower!!!

I cut the strings yesterday and this morning took some shoots while giving them a drink. A little perspective with the Bic. Sticky as hell, I dropped the lighter, when I picked it up it stuck to my fingers.LOL
Disregard the occasional cat hair stuck to the buds.

Hazy, gotta love your kitties eh! Thanks for stopping in. I don't get dog hair as Poodles don't shed and the Great Danes hair is only a half inch, so it doesn't float like cat hair.

Killer Scrog, i only hope i can get something close to what ya got with this grow. And i like your screen too, just pulling a string will make harvest time much more easy. You might want to leave a bit of green on them and put them outside. They should re veg and give ya one more harvest. Not huge, but better then just chucking them. Or i guess you could keep one as a mom.
But, Killer grow is whats going on here, cant wait to see it all finished!

LSY, I will cut them and hang the whole plant. I've got two trainwreck and two LSDs in the mother box next door that are getting pretty good size.
I never thought about removing the screen when I set it up, I used string cause it's what I had, but the string worked out real well. Just cut and pull, the frame lifts off. Made it neat and easy.

The buds are getting fatter and the trichs on the left hand plant are turning amber more so than the right. So it'll be a few more days maybe a week. Just have to keep checking. Had the dog and one of the cats come in to graze, so I let them trim fans for me on one plant.

Killer thanks yeah I'm gettin happy over this one, never did a scrog. Real happy with the proposed outcome. Can't wait to get a dry weight just to see how it stacks up to the upright grows.

IT'S THE FOURTH, BUT I'M NOT CUTTING...
IT'S THE FOURTH, BUT I'M NOT CUTTING...
I thought that they may be ready to chop today, but after getting them out of the box, so I could scope them better, I decided a few more days. The trichs on the lower fans on the buds are mostly amber, the trichs higher on the buds no so much. So I'll be a good boy and be patient...ARRGHHH..... So I took some fresh pics of the girls and you may see them below.

So yesterday I didn't think it was time. But after much thought and a what the hell, I need to get the next run under control so they were chopped.
The Frosted Flake came out awesome big bud loaded colas, the pics don't do it justice. The other plant has totally different growth characteristic, real dense short fat buds, but not at all leggy. Both plants are full and the results are much anticipated.
Both plants hung in the box, generally it takes a week before I trim and jar it up.
I will be posting the results when the trimming is done weight, smoke report etc. well its been a fun run. The SCROG is for sure the way to go for my situation. Much better results.

Here it is the long awaited day, the trim and the weigh in, smoke report.
Frosted Flake ( plant on the right in the grow pics)63 Grams of trimmed bud, and The Mystery Plant came in at 57 grams trimmed bud. For that mythical gram per watt they came in at .618 grams per watt. My lights are 8 lamps 24 watts each for 194 watts.
Anyway the smoke as my wife says creeps up on you but she's busy doing stuff, so its got her moving. Good head buzz kinda that tingle at the nape of your neck like your hairs standing up. It'll get me moving too.
Now for the mystery smoke. Its my old stand by I've been growing this strain for awhile. Its a good stoney weed and it'll kick your butt.
The SCROG is a for sure way to go on the next run, which I'll set up and start tomorrow. I have two Trainwrecks and two LSDs on stand by. Lsd is a heavy producer so it should be fun to see how it comes out.
