Herborizer vs. Sublimator ding, ding, ding. Its on.

I split a pile of 12 week Harmoney into 2 equallish piles. First milk shot shows the Herborizor. Second shows the Sublimator. With the same weed, lungs etc the vapor is so much more dense in the Sublimator than the Herborizor. That for me is the biggest sign the Sublimator owned the Herborizor. Now I have to be honest, I do have a few burns from the Sublimator, my own stupidity of course. I did however get burned in the carb hole of the Herborizor as well. All part of learning a new toy.

The taste on the Sublimator is much more intense, as you would expect from a thicker vape of the same herbs.

I have been told some folks think Enrico copied the Herborizor in making his unit. I can guarantee you there is no comparison between these 2. The Sublimator stand heads above the Herborizor. Peace GS

ps. sorry about the sideways pics, been getting that a bit lately

I didn't mention that I only used 1/2 the weed in the Sublimator hit. The rest was another hit for a friend. Here is the other 1/2, only 5 pics fit in a row. Peace GS

hard rain

I am a volcano classic owner and I am very happy with it. A lot of money but I have found it worth it. It seems well designed and I have heard of others getting years of trouble free use.

However I recently purchased the magic flight lunch box for it's portability and wow this little device is impressive! Gives very good concentrated vapor hits. Simple and quick to use. I got a very good vapor hit the first time I used it. My only question would be how durable are they?

I would have bought a Pax but apparently they aren't available in my part of the world.

hard rain, the Magic Flight Lunch box is an excellent choice. Don't know about durability but they are a fav among many vaporists. Another good portable is the Ascent Vaporizer by Davinci, not cheap though.

They are very durable. I've abused mine and haven't had any issues yet. There are very few moving parts, so there's really not much to break.
They also have a great lifetime warranty program. If anything breaks, contact them and they will replace it for you for free. They're a very friendly small company and will go out of their way to help a customer.

I just wish the batteries held a charge longer for long days outside. I don't like having to carry multiple sets when i go for a hike or bike ride. If you use your MFLB at home a lot, i highly recommend picking up the Power Adapter. The adjustable temps on the PA really make it seem like a whole new device. It's like a hit with a freshly charged battery every time. The PA comes with the same great warranty too. I'll grab one of the concentrate tray sets this week. I want to see how well they work.

A Pax is one of the next vapes i'd like to try as well. I've heard great things about them.

The Pax is a conduction vape, not as efficient as a convection vape. Conduction vapes constantly heat whether you're toking or not. Still a lot of people do like the Pax.

I've used both the PAX and the SOLO... I thought the solo was a much better unit. My friend that owns the PAX has buyers remorse and wishes he'da gotten the solo...

What temperature did you use on the herborizer?

T

Truthman

Not sure of the temp, but it was turned as high as it goes. Peace GS

The highest temperature of the herborizer is 230c, so the reason why the vapor wasn't as thick as the sublimator is most likely, the fact that the herborizer has a smaller, longer metal, which means you would need to inhale more slower then the sublimator. The sublimator has a much thicker piece of metal with holes, so it will allow for a faster inhale, as more air comes into contact with the heater.

If you were to inhale a little slower, to allow the air to be in more contact with the hot metal, you should get a more thicker vapor that is equal to the sublimator.

I didn't realise they had a lifetime warranty. That's great. I dropped the draw stem yesterday and it just bounced, intact.

I am going on a road trip in a month or so and will need to buy a heap of extra batteries. I'm finding it doesn't work as well when the batteries get low. That will be a bit of a learning curve. I will also take your advice and order the power adapter. Adjustable temp would be great.

Still happy with the MFLB.:)

Sorry bro, there is more to the Sublimator than the thickness of the vape. Try it before you decide. I spent the night with the Herborzor, each time getting higher off the Sublimator hit after the Herborizor hits.

Forgot to mention to those that accuse Enrico of copying the Herborizor, they might want to check out the Verdamper lol. But truthfully, there is more going on with the Sublimator than the Herborizor. Time will prove it. Peace GS

ps. I believe draw restriction to be one of the greatest downfalls of most vapes,

I'm not putting the sublimation down, I was giving as reason why the vapor wasn't as thick with the herborizer being that you say you vaped at the highest setting, which is 230c. Only a few degrees from combustion, so the vapor should have been thick, but since the metal is thin, and long, the air needs more contact with it to heat up.

As far, restriction being a downside, that depends on how you like your vapor. If you want it concentrated with less air as possible, slow, and long, is best. If you like it diluted with air for more taste, and more of an adrenaline rush, from being condensed due to the excess air, a fast inhale, and less restriction is what you want.

Again, I'm not dissing the sublimator just explaining what is happening with the two different vaporizers. They are essentially the same thing, when you put the temperature up to maximum on the herborizer, except the draw rates need to be different due to less metal on the herborizer, but it will still get WAY thicker vapor if you inhale slower, and at it's maximum temperature, then what you showed in the picture.

A better test would be the volcano digital, at it's maximum temperature, since it gives a consistent airflow, and has a large heating block, which will heat the air more evenly then the herborizer.

Anyway, have fun.

yet it does provide a very simple way to control temperature drop during a hit. and it allows the hot air to spend more time embracing the herb, extracting more 'oids.

Tons of experience with the cano and no comparison there either. Dude you gotta try this unit. I have not been high school high, well since last night. Previous to the Sublimator, well high school was the last time. Peace GS

As to restriction to clear the air. I have little problem with bongs etc., but have watched many a person struggle to pull the vapor through most of the units.

ps. the cano test is further off ,as it is a forced air unit. No lung power necessary for vaporization. Only to get it in you.

Only if you have the power to do it. Have seen many a person fail with vapes, cuz they can't get a good hit. Only to go around after and tell folks vapes don't get then high. Peace GS

SUBLIMATOR or FYM!
I gotta back up everything GS says bout the subliminator < I agree I hated mostly all vapes b4 this , My personal favorite thing about it the fact you can hit the weed and to a small dab in the same blast , (who is better than u ) , and unlike most vaporizers u actually do conserve ganja , cause u only load a point 1 !!! at a time for a huge hit!!!, then u save the after vape bud for making edibles,.. if u are a head , if u are serious about herb , u need one of these....
~GS , how is that titanium nail piece? , my buddy who is a dab fiend wants to get one asap

They should be available any time now. They may even hit the market before the Sublimator.

Enrico got a video the other day of a dude failing on a 4 gram budder hit. Cold towel on his head sweating and freaking cuz he can't breath. These multi gram hits are bs. Folks aren't even holding the hits, just chuffing. Pretty lame really.

Gonna get Hashbean to set the bar. See where it goes from there. Peace GS
