Ideas For Keeping Pot Prices from Deflating Rapidly

Ideas For Keeping Pot Prices from Deflating Rapidly

I am a hop farmer.

I am rich... with hops.

I think that pot farmers should be rich with pot.

Real life is waiting for people to work more meaningful jobs.

Not that pot isn't fun... but don't people need more help than that?

Money gets you nothing but trouble after you provide for you and yours.

indoor high grade will never be 50 an oz...if thats all lowballin non smokers wanna pay then il smoke it all myself. i see well grown stuff like OGK, bubba, etc still hovering around 200 a OZ even with the market flooded. the pies will sell for 25-2800 still. i dont think 200 for a really nice frosty zip is unreasonable at all..people who complain about that price are straight lowballing freeloaders. 50 an OZ lol...i spend 50 bucks for like 4 days of electricity lol...no matter how many warehouses and outdoor farms, they arent gonna find a way to make buds flower in 2 weeks so theres still gonna be alot of investment and upkeep costs taht will keep the good proper shit at a sustainable price.

the 50 an LB stuff i already know what it looks like. mass produced outdoor with as little upkeep money as possible. stuff that will be underferted, bland, low trichome count, decent pot smoke that the regular joe or lower class folk stuff into their blunts. shit i grow weed, sell weed, and id still rather pay 300 an OZ for something that id actually enjoy smoking than 50 for some bullshit shwag that makes my lungs bleed and my head bang.

the people making such a big deal about the low prices are looking for the wrong thing. i dont care if a brand new car is 5000 bucks id rather pay the 20k and drive something that wont blow up...and businessmen are not stupid, no ones gonna flood the market with 20k cars for only 5k....the moguls in charge of legal pot will probably try all their lovely schemes and tactics to bottleneck supply and sell pot at the price people still wanna pay. if people are willing to pay 200 an OZ...why the FUCK would they sell them for 50. sorry but freeloving hippies are not gonna be running the prop 19 legal pot business....money hungry tycoons who already cut a nice chunk of change from current state of affairs...(more greedy than your average commercial grower)

Wish we had your problems. Afraid of pot price going down? :noway: Here it just keeps climbing all the time, mainly because demand and supply does not meet. Heard some reports of 25-28€ per gram. Shit, it is almost as pricey as gold soon! Gold is 31€ per gram right at moment.

word. I agree for the most part. I never meant to say that highend would be 50. Maybe in the distant future but not anytime soon. But that all depends on what happens else where in the world. The price point can be met. The # or rather kilos can be produced...outdoor in greenhouses. (my favorite type) So for the short term i completely agree.
Especially with people not wanting to pay 200 a zip. for avg consumer they should be happy. 25-28 is also good business ;) (always depending on the quality), but i don't think that price is going any where but down.
Top notch will always be top notch and will always command a premium for its rarity. and the hype involved honestly, not necessarily a negative thing but humans are competitive.:blowbubbles:

I'm just saying our marijuana use is in its infancy. The possibilities for specific flavors and high as well as direct medicinal benefits that could surface once r&d begins....phew! It makes my mouth water and my "soul" happy. When we get there then price will rise again.

Or when we get the terroir thing going :D. I think if people got with it they could raise the price up now. California is on the same general latitude as France.

Or when the attitude towards concentrates is eased. This will make herb worth nothing once our weed culture evolves to hashish.

In the middle east they say a man who smokes hashish his whole life grows wise. A man who smokes ganja his whole life grows crazy. or so i have read. I believe its in Hashish.

PEACE.
damn i'm tired.

bags of weed you bought from your dealer were good back in the day. when a farmer grew it then sold it to make enough money to get by. but now every fucker is greedy. if you cant grow perpetually and have to buy bags you have to go to a guy that is growing himself and still charging extortionate prices like its been half way round the world and they paid a million to customs to get it to you. so the market might be different across the pond but id damn sure like weed to be cheaper. when i go to buy a henry i want it to be 3.5 not 2 fuckin grams know what m sayin...

If there is a tax,and there will be one,a bootleg market will exist.I also feel that there is some chickenlittlism going on.Even though mmj is decriminalized, how many card carriers actually grow one in ten.

Trolls with money like to act like they know everything there is about anyone.

Money does get you trouble... anybody that says otherwise will never have enough.

if 'legalization' happens, has it occured to you that every small grower, no longer afraid of being popped, outs themselves to reap profits, flooding market, crashing price? Gold rush, revisited.
proper way to maintain prices after legalization is to restrict supply.
Whenever it is dry around, prices seem irrelevant, peeps is going to have to pay!
May be hard to sit on that weight-ing to see prices stabilize, yet if you truly do produce a unique/quality product then you should have no trouble dispensing of it.
Just a different tack I suppose.
Very interesting topic.
For a saturday inside the fortress.

This will not happen, the industry will be heavily regulated.. Hell they are already limiting who can be a caregiver in some states. MEdical MArijuana is just the framework for legalization IMO.. It's already pretty evident who the major players will be..(They have dispensaries set up in multiple states already..

I suppose if this only applies to CA then ya maybe, but history tells us that usually the small guys are forced out of business by the gigantic companies.. Fuck weed Walmarts!

I'm gonna stick with quality not quantity.. If you have heirloom (elites) strains or your own crosses not available in mass.. I think you can carve out a nice niche ( in the Cali model of legalization ).. Does Cali limit who can be a caregiver and who can't, ie can a person with a felony record be a caregiver/ work for a CO-OP,dispensary, club, or whatever else you call them out there??? They already limit who can work in the industry in colorado.. Hope that doesn't catch on other places..

Same hear in California felons need not apply, even if that felony is cultivating. There will be heavy regulation, permits, fees, inspections, attorneys and don't forget tax.Right now every city and county is setting up moratoriums.

sorry to be a contradiction but if pot were legal the prices would be even lower from more bigger grows and the inflated price of primo would collapse in a hurry we will be lucky to see 1600 a pound i would imagine when you look at the rest of the world ,green houses etc indoor is more to grow cost wise but will it still get a higher price we will just have to wait and see
