Okay all has been going well. I'm about 3 weeks into flowering and all my clones have extensive root systems. Now enter my next project to run side by side my flowering chamber. The ebb&flow system from American Hydroponics. I built the frame myself so that it added support for a raised rez..

That's a nice little building project, I was thinking about doing something very similar. Better recharge the cordless drill.

Thanks High Country,I work slower than a turtle so you can imagine my excitement when this was completed this morning. The only thing that would have made me even happier would have been a frame with wheels lol.. It was fun though.. Running my first wet test right now :)

Wet test BaBy!!!

35 Gallon rez filled to 30 Gallons. Using approximately 90 drops of Superthrive at 3 drops per gallon. Also using Lucas 0-5-10 @ 30 gallons so we have out beakers set to 150mL for Micro and 300mL for Bloom.
picture.php

Maxi-Jet 1000 filling the tray. Tray is flooded in 4 minutes.
picture.php

Nutrients added. Waiting about 20 minutes before adding bloom. Going to run system on continuous flood for a few hours to fully mix up all the nutrients.
picture.php

Straight water readings from tap. pH @ 6.9 and 60PPM for salinity.
picture.php

pH after full feed with Lucas formula @ 0-5-10. I was so happy to see that NO pH UP or pH DOWN was needed.
picture.php

The new tenants for the flood and drain. There are 4 cuts each of 9 different plants. Therefore 27 will jump into the flood and drain system and 9 will be potted in soil and kept as moms until the first flowering chamber is completed at least then I can find out what is worth keeping from the original 9 moms.

Yo yo yo what up Green Thumb. Well I'm going to keep it in here since it's originally how I wanted to go. Those soil gals were all supposed to be moms but I didn't have a cloner at the time. After I got the cloner they were to big to keep as moms so I flipped. This has been great! I figure running two 3x3's perpetually I can have enough medicine to never have to visit the black market again :)

I'll be popping 3 of the G13xNYCD #1 #2 and #3. Three of the Trainwreck #1 #2 and #3, Three LemonSkunk #1 and #2. As well as three CT's. The remaining 9 plants of those four strains will go into small soil pots until I can find the strongest qualities and then I can tone it down to the best 3 or 4 plants.

NIIIIICE!!! man i cant wait to see that SOG,im on that same mission man, exept i got a few more strains after initiating bloom so im still a few crops away from finding my elite 5 thats my goal, so far bbk,LVPK and the bubba are 3 of the 5 unless another proves danker.

that G13xNYCD looks primo man,I cant wait to add it to my diesel family, its got fatty nice lookin stalks, I hope you get a keeper TW too its a truly amazing strain to have in the collection.

looks all looks good bro, soil and hydro.

your giving me the insperation to use my 2x4 E&F tray as a E&F tray and not a soil bed hahaha.

thats sorta out of my element,i know its not dificult its just different and im barely gettin the hang of rdwc.

also so is that 12 total thats goin in the tray?

3 TW
3 G13XNYCD
3 LemonSkunk
3 CT

is that right?

how many would you recommend for a 2x4 tray? like absolute max? i have a few single cola strains that id like to try a SOG in that tray with.

Whatup bro!! Yeah boy!! LoL I'm excited cleaning the hydroten now. Actually I have 3 TW's, 3 G13xNYCD's, 2 LS's, and 1 CT. These were all seeds and I was afraid potency would fluctuate within the strains even though they were the same so I grabbed 4 cuts from each separate plant. So I'm keeping 9 for moms and dumping the remaining 27 in the tray. I grabbed 4 cuts of each expecting some to die but they all made it. All 36. Just 1 CT taking its sweet ass time to develop roots. Has just 1 root but a root is a root lol.

Generally packed max would be 4 per square foot. So in a 2x4 at 4 per square - you'd have no problem with 32 plants. BUT, we're talking flower right after rooting with no veg time and you HAVE to lollipop them and remove all undergrowth. They will be so tight that they will need to breath. This is my textbook brain talking. I've never put this into practice but I will do so from now on..

Hello peeps and sorry for not posting in a while. I have some very sad news.

The G13xNYCD's are hermaphrodites. Yesterday I was blown away as I was admiring very swollen calyxes then to realize they were swollen due to pollination. I completely inspected the garden and DID NOT find a single dude sack. Now can this pollen be from a different grow in my area or pollen I picked up somewhere outside. No, none of the other plants have been pollinated. This is an EXTREMELY weird situation but I will let the G13xNYCD in bloom finish it's full term. The top buds are very thick so I assume the naners are buried deep in the bud.

Today makes day 31 in bloom and all the plants are extremely fat. The TW#3 is by far the frostiest extending it's trichomes well into the fan leaves. The CT has surprised me with the cleanest whitest pistils I have ever seen. The LS is VERY crystally but not a high bud count. Very very stretchy she is.. "Yoda"..

I've gone ahead and killed the 9 G13xNYCD that were in flower in the Ebb&Flow but have yet to kill the moms in the mom chamber. I really wanted to pass this strain off to you GT but it doesn't end here bro. This ship will continue to sail forward.

I did sample the TW at day 28 only because I accidentally broke a small bud and YES: As the name implies. IT IS A TRAINWRECK. Smoked the nugget after drying and it left me stupid! Short-lived having to do with the bud maturity but if this is what I have to look forward too then damn!!

Nonetheless it was a sad ending for the G13xNYCD - I need to say that these seeds were 3 years old and I never had this problem when they were fresh!

So right now after midnight I reach day 35 :)
I'm quite happy with the progress although I do plan on letting them go longer in order to pack weight. So far to date the only foods the plants have know are GH Micro and Bloom. Alternating with plain water every other feeding. Yesterday the plants were given their first high feeding of 3.2EC. This is the peak and will start dropping EC gradually till it's time to flush. I tested very small sample buds from the plants. Quick dried them and although harsh the strongest by far and I mean literally making me numb was the TrainWreck! I was surprised being that they are not even ready but holy shit that plant was strong. Any ways here are some update pics.

Day 35 for all 9 plants.

Closeup of buds in the center of the tent from front to back. Shortest plants in the front and tallest in the back.

Side shot of the CT buds. I wasn't too sure what to make of this strain but I am falling in love with it's progress. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be the best of all. (This plant will show N deficiencies with an EC lower than 2.5. SHE EATS!!)
picture.php

Lemon Skunk #2. Always healthy but definitely not as frosty.
picture.php

Lemon Skunk #1. This plant has had some type of virus from the day the seed cracked. May be Mosaic Virus. All clones of it also show same exact symptoms but nonetheless it is frosty. Much slower compared to the other strains. I believe I will let it go longer.
