DARWIN'S GUERILLA GROWING GUIDE

here are some photos from site 2. it was in a much more enclosed area with an awesome soil type, high content of clay, really fluffy with a great deal of natural nutrients in it i reckon so might have to lay off the added nutes here. also plants will do well against bad weather as they will be protected from harsh winds and the like! nice little spot! i'm also debating putting up a smaller grow near here away from the personal bud grow for breeding up some nice seed so for future stuff. we'll see what happens. plenty of room though as it's in the middle of nowhere with no one anywhere near it or having any chance of stumbling across it! wooo!

re: mushies. mate ate the lot. that said they only weighed to 7g, for a decent dosage of this species when fresh i think we looked up he wouldn't needed 50g or more haha so he felt nothing in the end. guess we'll have to go look for a whole heap more and then dry them and punish them!

how do you like those guerrilla water collars? seems like I will be making some simple ones shortly.

yeah i haven't used them before mate, only read up about them in the last few months, i'd suggest using them if the area you're growing in is pretty dry in spring/summer when the plants are at their smallest and most vulnerable to aridity. for me i'm still unsure as to whether or not i'll need them where i'm planning on growing, but we'll see. best luck mate

I get good rain where I'm at but I have to water if enough days go by with out it. Only bad about my location is the fairly short season I have. I guess the big perk with the collars that caught my eye was that I'll have to haul a lot less water to my scattered plants. Oh yeah bummer about those no potency mushrooms, great find though.

haha yeah my mate was devo more than me, but oh well the search continues haha, yeah well maybe make them up and have them at your site i mean it's not going to hurt, and if there's a period of no rain then definitely go water them. also be sure to plant them in a bit of a bowl so all the water from the rains runs down towards the plant and they get the most out of it.

the clones seem to be rooting nicely, and these freebies (PK and MS) have all popped but one of the MS.

i'm stuffing around with a clone and a seedling in a small hydro DWC i set up just to see how they go. the others are all planned for outside.

currently got them at about 20C and 60% humidity. fluctuates between about 17-20C and 50-60% hum. under 80w of cfl.

Nice guide Bulldog, greetings from an european guerilla.
But why the row pattern plot, you don't heed your own advice?

that's not my plot mate, that's another guy from europe i stole his pic just as an example. i won't be doing it that way personally mine will be spread out with probably one plant every 5m or so. just to be less obvious.

I've got a question. You said that move clones outside for a couple of hours to get used to the climate, then back indoors. Then the following day put them outside for a few more hours than the previous day then back inside again. It’s best to do this for about 4-5 days. But doesn't the rapid change of environment (different temperature and source of light) cause stress to my plants, especially when my plants are being held under cfl-s indoors? I'm worried, because I don't want to end up with bunch of hermies.

hey mate, thanks for the comment. i got that info from jorge cervantes dvd on the ultimate grow, i haven't personally tried to yet (waiting for the right season to plant). i guess in the end it really depends where you live. for me i'd wait until the clones had rooted well and were showing a little growth and then make sure they were put outside when the temp during the day was closest to what they had inside, so if it were a colder climate/season you'd probably want to do it in the middle of the day when it is warmest. if you're worried about light intensity then put them in a somewhat shaded area at first so they're not coping direct light, and slowly leave them out there for longer and then move into more direct sunlight as the days go by.

with whatever changes the plant will face, you have to just be in control of how quickly it is exposed to them. you're in complete control in the end, so you can acclimatize it as quickly or as slowly as you like, just take your time and keep a close eye on them at first, if they show signs of stress then bring them back inside and try again the next day.

anyway hope that helps mate.

hey all! latest update.

clones were looking a bit nute def, they were in small cups after they rooted in the jiffy pellets, all of them rooted well in the cups but i don't think the water was draining through them well and the ph was a little too high so they had nute block and were showing iron def with yellow starting to spread from the centre of the leaves. anyway transplanted them all today (gave the two strongest away to a mate as i wanted to spread the love, probs a good thing as i don't have much space after the transplant lol) anyway i mixed up a soil with:

50% organic potting mix,
30% 5 in 1 fertilizer (a mix of many different manures, blood and bone, seaweed and fish emulsion etc)
20% perlite.

i also added in about 3tps of iron sulphate crystals which is a soil acidifier and will hopefully bring the buffered soil ph down a bit to about 6.5-6.8.

some of these seedlings are growing like mad, love watching them grow from seeds compared to clones... nothing compares!

anyway, it's may now, getting close to june. we're planning on planting in late sept, which seems years away unfortunately but i'm sure we'll be there before we know it and ready to unleash! if the plants get out of control before i plant them outside i might clone them out to get some more numbers, and/or top them to make them a little bushier, might even flower one or two if i have the space.

on another sweet note! my mate penquin and i are about to harvest a white widow we've been playing around with pruning wise.

topped it at about 3 weeks, which gave it 2 main colas, then topped one of the lower ones with a technique called FIM (fuck i missed) where you only take 70% of the tip and you get 4 colas coming up instead of 2 like normal. it's been interesting as the two main ones have really filled out and grown huge, whereas the lower two sides (one we left normal and the other with 4 colas) are drastically different, normal one's normal, lol funnily enough, and the 4 one hasn't really put much weight on at all with respect to bud, just a little pop corn bud, we'll see how it goes in the final 1.5 weeks before we harvest! here are some photos

anyway that's it for now! i'll keep y'all posted with anything else that crops up :D have a good one!
