Sorry Rojo and sad you are leaving Florida. It will pick up again soon here as the stimilis package has them building roads here that are badly needed for the bulging population here. Tampa is in the process of seriously building a light rail system and it will go all the way to Orlando. So my son who is a businessman here thinks Florida will be one of the first to recover. So he is currently buying up properties at a sweet price as he feels it is a great investment. But he is always right it seems and I think the economy here is slightly turning. Too damn cold in NY when I lived there in Rockland county in 84 and 85. I found out later it was the 5th richest county in America.

BOY was I outta my league.....And New Yorkers don't get southern accents! te he

But I feel for you young and struggling and so glad I made it to retirement and don't have to hustle to make a living anymore OR DRUG TESTS......Freedom is truly sweet. But you seem like a positive person who will survive intact. Money is not everything...but it does help make life more secure. But I feel in my bones that America will come back strong economically. Economic up and downs have always been.

Have you looked into all of the construction in and around the Army base at Fort Drum? I have friends that live in Syracuse that drive there to work and they told me the construction is behind and they have a hard time finding help.....

yeeeeep.... unemployed and bored over here. Usually on here a good amount.. In the beginning stages of an outdoor grow over the past few weeks, at least I have plenty of time for that haha.

Graduated from college a few months ago, no experience in anything besides manual labor so no one is really going out of their way to hire me. Been applying to alot of data entry, office and insurance jobs, no dice yet. my major was political science so not terribly useful I guess.

Dont be sad Madre, its what I do,Im a snowbird and a flea!!!Florida has always been an economic boom for me and when the roof freezes at home I fly down.At the rate things are goin I dont see me coming back this year.I do architectual sheetmetal specializing in copper, fancy words for metal roofer.Rich folk like there copper so thats why I come,by its nature it lasts too long so I am running out of customers. It appears no one wants a copper cupola in this economy!!And the building along a1a and wellington has just plain stopped....fla is fucked!
Funny you mention Rockland, thats my alma matter, born and raised in west haverstraw...left in 80 and moved outside coopytown...Syracuse is a little west JJ but when ya live there its always a 2 hr ride to the job!!As anyone from the area knows.:joint:

<~~~~ me too...Ill grab a pack of raw papers and meet you guys over there...Down here in FL we do have one of the worst unemployment rates in the country...NY is above us though, so might not have been the best move...lol
Look at it this way, unemployment in FL means you get to go smoke a fatty at the beach anytime ya want! Least I have been catching up on snook fishing, Area51 pays well though...lol
good vibes

I was in New City but I have been to Haverstraw. I think we might have been the only non-Jewish in town then. My husband got transferred there in 84 and we could not adapt to that rat race lifestyle up there. So we came down to Florida and have been here since. But it was interesting to visit till Gotti shot Castellano in broad daylight and we were Xmas shopping.....And they call Texas The Wild West! te he

Gotti Jr will be tried here in Tampa soon for money laundering locally....

I'm in the same boat too. Been a month now and I'm bored as shit. Not to mention the tension and stress of not having a job puts on your relationship with wife or gf.

Sort of a quick conclusion during hard times. I'll take my college education any time as long as it comes with the 4 years of sorority girls in sundresses and parties that resemble a sloppy rap video inside a water park.

:yeahthats my GF has 2 jobs at the moment, makes me look like a bum.
That and moving back home where I can't grow and all the other shit that comes with that.... College was a great ride while it lasted for sure, could always go to grad school but eh..... hopefully won't have to resort to that

hahahaha I dunno about that, grad school just seems boring and more serious than college (lol). Probably could at least get a real job though...
Maybe I'd do it for you ICMAG, get some real laws in this fucking country, and get THC off schedule I list
