I cant wait to see the harvest/drying pics... so hows that rockwoll working out for ya? im doing rockwoll now but debating about switching to hydrotron, or maybe doing half in rockwoll and half in hydrotron...

Very nice! Looks like you have a big mass of different phenos though. Im sure that makes the room more work than if you did go with 120 of the same clones. Im sure theres a few lovely mommas in there!
Btw, there's a face in one of the pics. No offense but "Securityfirst" doesnt usually include faces in grow op pictures. Might want to edit that asap.

Christen---About the medium, you know when we grew inside the house I used a very special mix that made my Purple Kush come out so fuckin good. I mean it was months ago and people are still talking about the purple and pink hues on the plant and I think it was from the mix and the fact that the temps went down to 55 at night. But the mix that I use is 1/4 Roots Organics coco mix, 1/2 hydroton rocks , wash them off before, fuck the whole soaking them in ph water shit , some perlite and then some straight up just coir which is coco coir but called just coir. The hydroton allows for better oxygen to the root mass. Ill have to take pics of the rootballs that I get under my 2/12 gallon buckets. The big rockwools are not big enough for me, too unstable.
Its growtime , we have so many different strains because I just felt the compelling need to run 10 different strains at once. We always have trainwreck and purple kush lying around and I'm always trading mother plants and clones for dry product and stuff like that. Not to mention that my grow partner inherited like 40 mother plants before this grow so some of those are in the middle aisle and we are sometimes on a budget. It is basically amazing to me that we could even afford this in the first place. I am getting calls about the electric bill left and right. This next time we are preparing to do the same strain of Jack Herer, Blue dream or Og Kush but we'll see. Like Yamaha1 fan said we should be pulling down 15 to 20 no prob and I think he meant using the same strain. I dont expect that right now though.
Its growtime--Ill have to document the security that happens for this. It is a pretty darn secure environment. There is no carbon filter but the barn is set way back and no one can smell anything, well ok maybe sometimes. Anyway I've come to learn from growing that security is the most important thing because I know that there is no kind bud and pussy in jail, just angry people. I work with a women now who spent 11k on double insulating her garage so she could have a secure noiseless environment to grow in. I mean I wanna grow for the rest of my life and the only way to do that is to protect yourself all the time.
My #1 security tip for a growhouse is to have a lock on every growroom door. Those cops are slick motherfuckers and will do anything they can to weasel their way into your house. I think they have a master list at the station of houses that have electricity bills over 1000 dollars. Just a theory but information is out there and to be succesful you need to always be looking over your shoulder and be smart. No one wants the police involved.
My #2 security tip when beginning the life of a grower is watch your plant count, you can get just as much out of 20 to 30 on a 4 by 8 tray than you can with 75 on a 4 by 8 tray. Sea of green is wonderful but it requires a high plant count, attention to detail and expertise. Do the sea of green when you get more experienced and can afford the proper tools like the temperature controller and co2. I feel like if I turned this into a sog grow then I would have to maintain every day and I don't have time to do that right now. At this 5 week in point we just make sure the light do 12/12 and the trays get flooded.

Security did you ever think of splitting the power sorce? Maby have your grow at a middleground and route power from two houses instead of just one? People talk about this alot, but I haven't seen it on here yet. I've been searching through endless amounts of threads. Anybody have any advise on this subject? This could really help Securityfirst. In theory this is a great idea but I don't know the practicality of it. I don't have much expeirence with construction/electric. What kind of calls are you getting about your bill? That would scare me to death. I have alot of respect for you.

Let me tear apart that theory of yours.. Depending on time and will, doing smaller more controlled grows will acheive multiple things.
First it will allow you to learn the plant strain traits(how it grows, node spread.blahh blahh blahh..)
2nd It will allow you learn how to properly control your enviroment (less heat, less humidity)= smaller ac/dehumidifier(less cost)
3rd you can learn what the plant strains can handle nutes wise. and taylor the profile for maximum output.
4th security. Power drain/smell = less
Throwing all you got at one massive show will achieve results, no doubt.. The question you must ask yourself is, is it efficient??In simple terms expenses vs revenue. revenue can be swapped out with gpw(grams per watt) if dollars arnt applicable.

So 16 days left and many new pics tommorow.
