New York (WABC)-The son of a Brooklyn Supreme Court judge was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with a riot in the Houses of Parliament.
The FBI arrested Aaron Mostovsky at his brother’s house in Brooklyn, according to sources familiar with the case.
He faces four charges, including a felony theft of government property, according to sources.
He was filmed last Wednesday in the Capitol with fur fur and a bulletproof vest adorned with the word “police.”
Mostovsky was interviewed by the New York Post and said he had attacked the Capitol because he believed that the election had been stolen by President Donald Trump. <ehh? - must be some mistake - lol>
He also gave his name and said he had travelled from Brooklyn. He wasn’t wearing a mask.
In addition to being a judge, his father, Shlomo Mostofsky, is a prominent member of the Orthodox Jewish community.
On Monday, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a zero-tolerance policy for New York City workers who participated in the siege at the US Capitol.
“New York City employees who participated in the attack on our democratic institutions participated in the riots at the Houses of Parliament but will be dismissed,” he said. “Limit.”
Police Secretary Dermot Shea said NYPD continued to investigate reports of at least one NYPD officer who may have been in the Parliament during the riots.
The FDNY is investigating that there may have been at least one current and one retired firefighter.
FDNY spokesman Frank Dwire said, “The agency received an anonymous allegation that active or retired members attended an event held at the US Capitol on January 6, and that information was needed. Was provided to the FBI. “
Meanwhile, a New York employee was identified as one of the intruders involved in the Capitol riots. Wilpepe, an employee of Metro North, was recognized by both colleagues and management from photos distributed by law enforcement agencies.
The MTA’s management has moved swiftly, Pepe has been suspended unpaid and will be prosecuted this week.
