for 1 thing NY was NOT the only state to do this, not by a long shot
and it complied with the federal guidelines at the time
it's common sense for god's sake
you're facing an epidemic of unknown magnitude, hard choices were made
it's always easy to be a monday morning quarterback

What's Federal guidelines on illegal immagration,Sanctuary cities ?
So he picks and chooses which Federal Laws to follow.

That's a lame excuse man,he would not have faced federal pushback on a plan to save those most vulnerable, meaning Americans.

please, this is a determination to politicize
the nursing home rules were made by medical bureaucracies
and I can agree with George there have been mistakes
some choices have been better
you know full well this a bad road, politicizing the medical choices
NO GOOD COMES FROM IT

Yeah well academically neither Trump nor Biden are in any way impressive - and that's probably why they are where they are today -

Banging porn stars and supermodels is just about having money - not about intelligence or academic ability methinks -

- both candidates look to be what could be considered as - under achievers in school/college/university -

It also takes no smarts to inherit money. I will give him that he has a bag full of dirty tricks and fraudulent tactics that he has learned in the real estate syndicate.

Of course - as long time allies of the USA - it is sensible to have half a clue (at least) - as to whats going down internally in the USA - not only is it intriguing - but it is crucially important for us to know whats up - across the pond - because if the shit hits the fan again - and the worst case scenario happened again - as it has done twice in the last century - I'd rather us be on your side - and you on ours - as its been for well over a century -

- Sure - I'm not too impressed with either of our governments foreign policies - over the past decades - so many bad decisions and terrible mistakes have occurred - that the whole world has to bear to this day - but I don't blame the people for that - I blame the governments - who are bought and paid for by the corporate-military-industrial-machine - and its bankers - and lobbyists -

That actually might concern you. Not so much internal affairs.

Hello all,

On a day when we honor our war dead as a sign of respect of those that fought and died for our freedoms, Commander Bonespurs spent part of his day politically slamming a veteran Marine and congressmen calling him a fraud.

Trump Calls Marine Corps Veteran and Congressman ‘an American Fraud’ on Memorial Day

Makes you proud, ay?

Oh yeah he's the one that is speaking out about the covid 19 deaths in nursing homes, and the lax oversight that lead to many deaths.
I believe that's a feather in his cap!

Memorial Day -

- have a moment to think about all those guys/gals - who died in some foreign war - before we were born - today I watched another documentary on the huge waste of men and resources in the WW2 Battle of Peleliu - in the Pacific - it took 2 months for the USMC to root out and kill nearly 11,000 very well dug-in Japanese soldiers (only a couple of hundred were captured/surrendered) - at great cost - Casualties: Allies: 2,336 killed and 8,450 wounded/missing. Japanese: 10,695 killed and 202 captured

- what a waste of life -

- and that island wasn't even needed strategically -
- I'll just thank my lucky stars I have never had to go to war - like countless generations before me -

Also taking a moment to Keep Pennsylvania's Director of health Rachel Levine's mom in our thoughts.
If not for Rachel's swift , and decisive action , her mother would have been left in a horrible situation.
Good job Mr Levine :tiphat:

to clarify he meant NYC. Manhattan.
Not NYS.
No one that Ive talked to, and I have a lot of family upstate, agrees with your opinion. The stickers, flags, and lawn ornaments, that I see everywhere certainly don't agree.

Its no surprise that Cuomo is a rock star in the solid blue bastions of NYC (and possibly Albany...another liberal college town.) Hes a smooth talker that is riding daddys coattails.....who, for good reason, was a popular leader.....his son? Not so much......just a wannabe fredo. Hell, even DeBlasio gets support and that guy is a doorknob.
The story differs outside of the 5 boro's…..people support Trump.

(Dislaimer: My opinon is based on first hand accounts of a small percentage of upstate residents. And from seeing the plethora of Trump signs and flags everywhere. NOT from NYT and WaPo and CNN sourced 'polls.')

Copy and paste this thread to your notebook for posterity and mark my words.
Trump wins 2020. Whether we like it or not.

yet another parallel with Trump and the Great One, you know him as Adolf
Adolf was strong in the country side, they loved him out in farm country
in the cities? not so much
Berlin did not vote for Adolf or his minions, the educated had no use for him
just like today

They wouldn't be so bitter if they actually had any confidence in Biden, change my mind...

Hello all,

Not my first choice either.

I would even back Burnie against tRump, then again, I would back a ham sandwich against tRump.

That asshole gus got poop on his face today, then bit his brother on the ass, and then the brother got poop on his face. Been trying to figure out how to tell the story but thats as good as it gets.

Just gonna continue to throw these out there. This political discourse is not on course. Much like the neighbor kids, one side of the fence or the other is gonna wind up with shit all over their face.

Wonder how Merkel fared with the country folk. She looks like Hitler's sister. Likes to control a fair bit, some comparisons.

Being that education today is often left based indoctrination, it is no wonder they do not like Trump. Does not make him Hitler.

The elites of NYC or large colleges are literal garbage. I use the term elite but garbage is more in line with reality.
