She looks good, I hope she changes your mind on her as she is a great strain.

Thanks! I hope so as well!
But even the best strains occasionally produce phenos that ain't worthy keeping around.
Even if she turns out to be a bummer, I will peobably play around with her breeding wise and search for something worth keeping in her progeny ;)

She looks great from the pic but like you said we cant have a winner every time from seed.

Defo looks more sd leaning than my SSSDH cut

I believe flowery fields did have my cut many years ago but i guess not any more.
Im going to start working on my SSSDH cut again
for some big projects as in my opinion my SSSDH cut is 1 of the best Haze cuts we have ever seen

Hey, thanks for checking in, OJD!

Yeah, it's definitely different from your cut, as there's not a hint of 'hazyness' to be found on her! Which is actually not a bad thing in my books, as I have plenty of haze-hybrids going, yet I still lack a decent sour plant in my garden. However, your cut really seems to be something special, considering all the fuzz people make about it - wellp, maybe one day ;)

A couple of my grove plants of SSSDH from seed.

SSSDH #1

SSSDH #2

#2 has the longer fingers leaning more haze in stretch. #1 has shorter more compact and darker SD like leaves.

I’ve got a cut of SSSDH #3 that’s going into another location this summer.

Not as much direct sun in this grove as I’d like. Positioning I’ll have to take into account years forward. They are still looking great and are being grown elsewhere, so multiple looks.

Both have very similar smells. Hazey spice with that lingering diesel pop.

What were the main draws against, Mohadib? Visually she’s an 11. She actually looks pretty pumped on ferts. I wonder what would happen if you eased off a bit and let her just do her thang.

Also looks pretty mature at less than 7 weeks. I know it’s challenging for some indoor growers, but I’d be looking for the 11 + week finishers.

Absolutely no knocks or disrespect because she looks totally dialed in bro.

Don't worry, no offense taken ;)

If I remember correctly I "pumped" her with only a single (small) dose of nutrients midway through flowering - because she looked as if she'd be happy about it.
I genereally don't feed on a schedule. I just let each plant do its thing and when they show me they lack something, I try to provide it.

And indeed, she's a fast one! I was pretty stoked about that as well. Generally, I trust my eyes when it comes to ripeness, but since it's the first time I ran her and since she looked done so early, I reactivated my miscrosope and actually used the trich coloration as an indicator for ripeness. In the end, I took her down after 66 days of 12/12 - at that point, the trichs were about 20% amber already. I would have let her go longer if she indicated in any way that would make things better - she didn't.

As I said in my original post, she looks great and does great in terms of growing, but she lacks any significant smell. I was hoping for it to become stronger later on, but actually the smell even degraded a bit over time, becoming more earthy and less sour by the day. That impression is consistent with the impression I got from smoking a sample of her: not much to brag about...

Since she's a dispensary cut, it seems as if she was selected for looks, yield and a short flowering time. Certainly it wasn't her olfactory qualities^^

Anyway, I'll test her tonight and try to provide a smoke report shen I think I have an idea what she's about

Well she gets an A+ for looks. 66 days seems short for this hybrid. So your likely spot on in how the dispensary used it’s eyeballs to select her. The diesel leaning leaf is unmistakable. I’ll keep posting on my three phenos. I see a nice range from SD to SSH leaning. Last time I grew these seeds I had one really outstanding pheno and the other was meh.

Yeah, she's a real showgirl, I give her that :)

Two hours ago I had one half of a small joint of her very freshly dried remains. Of course it's too early to evaluate the smoke appropriately but it wasn't half as bad as I thought. She won't smell very spectacular and the taste is also rather subtle but quite nice, nonetheless: earthy, chemy, sour on the inhale and all diesel on the exhale. The high intrigues me though: potent, fast acting, benevolent, a little gitty, not tiring at all (yet)...

Here's some more pictures, taken at nine weeks...

Damn.
Every time I see one of your plants Mohadib it looks as if it should be on the cover of a magazine.

SSSDH run straight to 12/12 from cut, stinks like hell and has a clear, racy high, can induce sweats and gets the heart pumping, lol

I'm salivating thinking about that smell. I got a mother plant sitting in a closet waiting for my cripple ass to be ready to do another grow. I need to back cross to the mother since I only had 3 of the SSSDH IX seeds and I got male pollen saved from it. I actually have a 2 year old harvested plant with crossed seeds still hanging up (did I say I got health issues?). I need to get those seeds outta there to do the cross. Also got an original 2000/2001 c99 half cross that I need to back cross too also (the whole "re-release" was not cool. That plant didn't look nothing like the orig and people pointed out it seemed to be a big commercializing sale). Big projects. All I ever grew was the c99 up until 2010 when I had to take like a 5 year break from being so cripple.

I really really want to get some plants going again. Maybe later this year (we get 2 good grow periods here in Hawaii. It's been rainy af this year so I'm actually glad I didn't start any thing or I think I woulda had a hell of a time maintaining the area around it. Shit is growing all over the place and I've had boars coming and going like crazy.

OJD, very interested to hear about your intent to grow out and possibly do something with the SSSDH lines. Gotta tell ya, I actually had one guy I know showing to be a bit feint of heart with the SSSDH IX that I gave him for his bday. Something about it being too strong. But most of the people over here still seem to have a thing for indicas and grow inside. I like indicas but I love sativas!

Please keep us posted on your plans OJD. I might set some of the little cash I got aside for any seed drops on your part.

Man- you guys are making me think I should run these sooner rather than later. I have a pack I bought back in 2015.

Do you think I could get away with doing a micro pheno hunt with 9 of these in one gallon smart pots in a 3x3 tent under a 550 Rspec?

Would it be too cramped do you think? The idea being flower them out small to test them then select the winner(s) for a second run in bigger pots.I would probably only let them veg a week after first true leaves show then flip them right away. Or maybe even 12/12 from seed if necessary?
