yea i thought about weight... i wasnt sure what to do, i got the biggest eye-hooks i thought appropriate.Smoke68 said:thanks for the pics!
That's one of the more interesting fans I have seen used on a grow! I am assuming that this is to be at the bottom of the inverted pyramid. Are you possibly going to be making this into a cool tube of sorts?
One thing to consider if you have not already; how much straight pull will the hinges at the top of each inverted triangle take? You have to imagine that each pot will weigh around ¿2.5-3.5? pounds depending on medium used and size of plant. At ¿14? plants per tri, and each at 3 pounds, there is 42 pounds on each tri, all at a cool 45*, also pulling 90* away from the epicenter. It would seem that the latches should be adequate, but once again, a small oversight could be detrimental. You don't want a $1 piece to be the demise of a grow
What size/type of lighting?
Soil or coco?
So can you give any more specs on the grow idea?
Peace!

as far as a light i was going to hang it in the middle... didnt think id need a cooltube, but ill get one if i need. im trying to produce 12-15" plants. to make everything fit.
the bottom was designed to be small on purpose... i liked the small footprint and i didnt want a huge plant-count. if u use the 3 pot(18") as the bottom and add the 4th row on top that gives u 72 plants total and itll actualy be quite big and possibly unwieldy. its actualy smaller then 5x5' right now folded up. heres the home.
re-enforced the bottom for 'wiggle'
the fan blowing up for ventalation/cool.
im about to pop 52 seeds, once i get off the pc, plan on filling the planter-pots with dirt tommorow and putting them into the frame. ill see how the things handles weight and all that. if thoes eye-hooks dont hold ill probably just use some 3" screws to hold the sides together.

man-like you've got ESP... i was thinking the exact same thing today while i was building it... i was figuring panda-poly... ive got some to use. idealy id like to staple it on the sides and stuff, so itll stay put.
so to clarify on the light, itll be a 'vert' free-air bulb, ive got a hood thats vet with a bit of a lip thats free-air i might use, or a bare socket with to use. if heat or size is an issue ill get a cool-tube.
i wasnt actualy planing on lowering the sides oftin, i was hoping i could get away with watering them sideways 95%+ of the time. just because i dont have much space.
i just thought of adding a swivel/rotating base so i could turn it and open one side always in the same place in the room(male sence?)
hey please, drop a line if u think of somthing.
