No one's heard anything more about this? I talked to a few friends of mine who seem to be in the know and I'm not really hearing anything about the AN company picking up and moving.

One friend said that they have some testing facilities in Europe, but that they're still going strong in Canada.

Too bad we can't have more verification about this one. Anyone know anything more? Or is this just a rumor that got started and it's just a load of BS?

AN is overpriced plain and simple. Lots of others at 1/8 the cost that do just as well or better out there. People need to look at NPK numbers for a change rather then the pretty picture on the bottles.

Save the cash for papers, not spend it on nutrients. I grow as big as those with AN product for $20 to $30 a grow. Try that with AN products. See how much you can obtain for $30.00 then try to run a complete grow with it.

I will stick with the cheap stuff and out grow AN users any day.

blah always people bitching about price

when it comes down to it, if you grow an ounce with cheap shit at say 3 dollars - and if it costs 6 dollars to grow an ounce with a.n. (even 9) - unless you have a super micro grow, you will probably get a higher yield and better product using the more expensive product

the way i see it is if it costs me 5 or 6 hundred bucks in nutes for a grow, this is nothing compared with other costs, esp electricity

quit being so cheap

AN works fine but no better than any other basic nutrient. I choose to avoid them because of their deceptive marketing practices and ludicrous claims they make about their additives.

AN of course works , yes it works . Better then the rest is up in the air . But I agree that AN advertising makes my stomach sick . The two brothers story is sooo funny !
for the money and the line I prefer GH .

do you support gh and companies like that that wont in any way say their products are for cannabis? (and that not only will have nothing to do with medical marijuana, but that probably actively snitch on the companies that do?)

i think that it is obv that all ferts are not equal as well

you should clarify and say not basic nutrient but of the top 3 or 4 hydroponic fert makers - unless you really believe that all nutrients are equal, then my friend you are surely mistaken

FACTOID:
In 20-plus years of growing and breeding,I 've always sought out the finest plant nutrients that I can get,for my plants.
I don't give a fuck if a nutrient company supports nuking gay whales, the Socialist overthrow of several Korean Hyundai factories,or the quasi-mutually-pseudo-beneficial bi-composting of organically-grown blueberries and the assholes of Virgin Atlantic Salmon.
AN is full of shit, and anyone educated in plant nutrition would tell you this in all seriousness-and be 100% Correct.
Hell,go ahead....Be a sheep,or a lemming,& feel free to believe what the shiny AN posters promise-it's your call. And Fail.

Cheers!

Oh and to put out there here in oregon I can get the AN line I noted above for the same as the botanicare line which was about 130 for the quart size,so switching to AN didn't hurt my wallet any,and if your gonna grow why not shoot for the best possible?? Which means as long as you can prophet why not get the best supplies?

AN equates to snake oil imho; you shouldn't need a chemistry degree to mix nutes. I really haven't seen any advantage with their many additives. Looks to be a hell of a marketing campaign though.

I like the KISS method, I use floranova, 8ml/gal and done, no additives needed. To each his own I suppose though.

Funny. This thread is old! Oh & I run Micro bloom Lucas or FNB now. Rocks just as hard as anything out there. I use hygrozyme, vermicrop, floralicious+ & calmag too. If I don't see what I expect by week 6 I'll finish with a high PK boost stand alone for a couple feeds & go back to real food for a week before going through my 2 week flush.

Fuck it, I'm going to give it a shot and see if AN is snake oil for myself. Decided to pick up some Connoisseur A/B, B52, Carboload, Bud Blood, Big Bud & Overdrive. Will be inoculating with Great White (replaces tarantula/piranha), and flushing with Clearex instead of final phase. The regimen I chose cost me $350+free shipping/no sales tax online, and will be enough for 2-3 cycles. At worst that is $175 a cycle for nutrients. 18 plants under 3k lights per cycle. Do the math. I think I'll get my money's worth...

You're just as much a sheep or a lemming if you buy something because of the label as you are if you DON'T buy it because of the label.

The plain truth is that you're stupid if you buy Advanced Nutrients because of the label. You're also stupid if you look at the label and decide not to buy it based on that alone.

Looking at ANY single point is foolish. Price, results, whatever.

The big picture, at least from my point of view, is this: Advanced Nutrients costs me more at checkout, it gives me a lot more at harvest than the extra it cost, and while a bit garish the bottles are more interesting to look at lined up on a shelf than most of the other options out there. It's also easy to use and delivers reliability and consistent results.

Not one of those things made up my mind, but taken all together they add up to me being a diehard fan of their products.

First of all they don't promote For Cannabis Growing but suitable for Medical Cannabis. Thats a huge difference between the too. One will get you banned from the US market the other so far hasn't.

What do you think Canna means in Canna Nutrients? Dutch master promotes their stuff as pro Cannabis but usually state tests done at UBC.

Got an old bottle of Hydro Fuel from 5-7 years ago? Look at the label is has a huge bud on it.

Advanced is not bad or "Advanced" its just like everyone elses food. it works just as good as all the others.

I use to work for a hydro store and i spent several years shaking my head at some of the products manufacturers tried to pass of as some miracle products that will get you those super yields. Its funny how many times molasses, and dextrose can be passed of as super products.

How is AN's NPK more valuable than any other companies NPK?
