Damn man, truly incredible plants. What part of the country you in man?

Western Europe friend, 4 hours from Amsterdam. It grows well over here.

I don't know yet wordtree, she's a seed plant so she's a surprise for now. The F2:s stay potent and high yielding, they just lean more to Indica than I want.

Christmas has arrived, I'm all caught up in gift wrapping so this is just a quickie dropping off some Christmas pics (I just had to take some), hope you'll enjoy even though I know you wanted socks and cardigans :D

Hey again everyone, esbe, Black Ra1n, Dr Dog, Paz and all you lurkers.

I got through Christmas. My woman gave me a Chinese opium pipe. I never told you what else grows in my garden apart from Cannabis, since we have policies here on IC, but as soon as the next harvest is in I'll try this baby out.

picture.php

Day 55. The Island Sweet Skunks are getting bigger. They're low-trained and bushy this time around, 4 or 5 main branches on each plant, so they don't pack on that much weight on each stalk. Next to the BH colas they look whimpy, but all in all they're massive.

picture.php

What's starting to worry me is that the pheno I've got going here looks like the pheno I scrapped before the grow. The only way that could be is if I made a mistake, and actually threw away the pheno I wanted to keep. If so, I'll slap myself hard.

picture.php

This Golden Skush is from seed. She's throwing plenty of nanners, she's not as big as some other Golden Skush phenos I've had, and at day 55 there's not even a hint of her getting ready, so unless the smoke is out of this world she won't be kept. That said, GS is a pretty stable strain, and there are winners and keepers in there to be found, so don't let this discourage you from picking up this great strain.

Skunk#1s, still the way to go! This is a Sam Skunkman S#1 Bombadil, and boy did he get it right. I haven't tried Cheese yet, but she's got to be outstanding to beat this pheno.

Blockheads, blockheads, you know'em well already. The winner this grow around is still BHX.

Thanks again friends! Take a pic of your funkiest Christmas present and post it. Doesn't have to be pot related, but if it is the better!

What about "Donley Long John"? lol :smokeit:

Well, it's a girl, but if I ever go into pornstar acting I might use it as a stage name :D

now tell us how you grow them or is that to much to ask hehe. once again well done and stay lucky

Well, a few peeps have asked that already in the thread and I've answered them,

In short, it's not about the feeding, it's about the lighting. People seem to think there's some magic feeding formula out there, and special products that makes a difference.
Realize that these plants are grown in coco with GH 3-part (NOT the lucas formula), which isn't even a coco specific nutrient. So no, you don't need to get designer made nutes for this and that.
Just get a basic quality nutrient that works well for Cannabis, GH, Canna, Bcuzz, Ionic, any of these will do, then concentrate on the lighting. It's what makes all the difference. Get HIGH QUALITY light spectrum bulbs, stay away from Chinese made products, don't run them for years, change them ever so often, if you run a small grow-op (less than 4K), get rid of the 1000w bulbs and use several 600w, 400w and 250w bulbs for better light coverage. If you follow this advice you're already looking at a considerable increase in yield.

I'm heading off to Normandy for a few days, need to stretch my legs and get some sea breeze. So, this batch of pics is the last one for 2009 and perhaps this grow, only a couple of more weeks to go. Day 56:

Hey everyone, back again on day one of the new year, new decade, with the same old strains.

Well bombadil, this was a trip to the parents in law. They've lived all their lives in a small village, and their concept of Cannabis is that if you ever go near it, you'll end up as a down and out junkie in some back alley, killing people for a fix. So, me no smoke mega spliffs on the beach this time around,

The parents in law are in their early 60's now. People in their village are dying like flies. Some from heavy drinking, the local made Calvados is a mean popskull, others from a life long steak/fries diet. Most of the farmers around there put in asbestos in their homes and barns in the 60's and 70's, and have been living and working around it since. Some of them have up to 50% asbestos in their lungs, which means their lives will end prematurely with painful respiratory problems. They don't reflect much on all this (I kind of understand them,), but if you mention Cannabis they go into a fit and think it's going to kill them.

Weird isn't it, how people worry about terrorist attacks, while the most likely thing to kill them is heart attack from bad food habits, Cancer or getting run over by a car.

Day 61: ISS, BHX and Skunk#1. We're getting there!

Spectacular stuff man, those massive buds make me happy lol

Have you detailed your lighting arrangement elsewhere in the thread? I'm sure I read you saying you use both vert and horizontal lighting, would be interested in hearing how they're set up.
