The bad and ugly

The bad and ugly

Well its still 2012.. Pump was upnlugged for two days, not by my hand. Two plants near the dehumidifier completely dried in the ppk in two days, I have never seen anything like it....... The first pic is one of the plants that dried out completely. It looks much better in the pic than in person. In person you can see that its mainly larf, theres a good amount of larf, but its still larf. Soon enought the larf will become oil. I was suprised because this plant looked so chunky. I "think" that this plant was so close to the dehumidifier that it effected the transpiration...

Oh well. The rest of the plants look good. Much like the plant in the second pic. After removing the plants the were dried up, I felt much better in the room.

The last pic is of a bottom nug, its certainly not bobbles StrawDD but its chunky for a bottom nug nonetheless.

I sprayed eagle 20 on my vegging plants a few days ago. That is some serious stuff. I got completely suited up with a spray suit, spray sock, booties, gloves and a respirator. Any place where my shoes were not covered by the booties I wrapped in duct tape. The plants did not seem to care about being sprayed at all.

Been working everyday since xmas eve. Cleaning, dump runs replacing drywall, pouring concrete, framing etc. The new space is coming along. I am trying to figure out what is the most efficient way to cool 12k in a sealed room. I think gettogro has a good set up with a dual zone minisplit and his flipflop ac. Perhaps a motorized damper is more efficient.
I think I can get around 4.5 tons of cooling with 55 amps. If you have any ideas let me know.

Probably gonna start a new thread next year. We will see how much time I have, I am putting in over time at this point.
Pretty tired right now.

Just gonna take a moment to say that I am thankful for all the opportunities and blessings in my life.
Happy New Year!

Fresh and clean!
After shop vacn the system out I hooked the bottom and top feed up to each other put some plain water and bleach in the system and let it run continuously overnight.

I put a small aquarium fish net over the return in the control bucket. It worked great because it caught all the root mass that was left in the system.

After that I turned on some fans in the room and lit off a bug bomb, just for preventative measures. With diligent work and good hygiene you can phase root aphids out of your garden with out nasty nuclear measures. I have recently heard of people having to move houses because they couldn't get rid of root aphids, they even got all new equipment.

The most important thing to do is to take new clones, and keep them bug free. I have an ez cloner, it works great for me. When it became time to transplant the clones I brought the entire cloner to a different location over 25 miles away. I hit the clones with a pyrethrum spray just to make sure there were no suprises.

I also put yellow sticky cards on all of my top buckets. This helps me monitor any pest activity that could be happening. Out of 20 cards one flying bug got stuck about a month ago..I haven't seen any personally.

I have been working everyday since Xmas eve. Harvesting and building. I spent all day yesterday getting materials, then filled the system and moved the girls into there new room. This is becoming a full time job. The new year has been treating me well.

Heres a couple raw food recipes for MisterD and anyone else who wants to try them.
I put the taco nut meat in a big leaf of lettuce or cabbage with the mac cream for cheese. I add some tomatoes, fresh peppers, and avocado and you have yourself some tasty raw tacos.

Its a New Year, Try it!

hey high life, is your environment sealed completely from outside air? or do you exchange any fresh air in for a short period of time...? does your air conditioner use any outside air? nice operation man!

Hey DDG thanks for stopping by.

hey high life, is your environment sealed completely from outside air?
Yes completely sealed. .

or do you exchange any fresh air in for a short period of time...? No outside air exchange

does your air conditioner use any outside air?
There are four air conditioners between two rooms. One is a minisplit and the other three are through walls. All of the through walls have an adjustment to bring in fresh air from outside or use air from the inside. I just keep them recirculating the inside air. It seems to work just fine.

Thanks

Thanks D9!

Every run gets a bit smoother.

I want to cover my room with orca, it makes a difference.

Those wider containers are gonna bring me to my goal, I can tell already.

Just a couple random leaves look like unhappy, otherwise the plants look amazing. Feeding jacks at EC1.2-1.3

The wider top buckets are doing the trick.
I will be taking down the hanging reflectors and moving the bulbs closer to the wall pretty soon. I need to put a jungle gym(cage) on these girls first.

The new wider top bucket is a great choice for anyone wanting to do a scrog. One plant would easily fill a 4x4 area very quickly. It's tempting. Very tempting. What's even more tempting is the fact you can go even wider with your top bucket. I am going to have some real fun this summer.

Ashes when you get back on the saddle, you gotta try the wider top bucket.
