I've linked over and over to one of the world's leading experts and researchers in the area of ALL algae.

I've linked over and over to the scientist who spend over 50 years studying algae of all types in the area of agriculture and horticulture. 50 years - that probably gave him a basis of expertise perhaps. He remains Professor Emeritus at Clemson University's School of Horticulture

Groundhog Day at ICMAG is over

Hah....even Raw Milk at $3.50-4.50 for half gallon equates to $0.83-1.07/pound, assuming a gallon of milk weighs 8.4 lbs. Unfortunately over 87% of milk is h20...what's in raw milk? http://www.raw-milk-facts.com/what_is_in_raw_milk.html

A lil dab is all it takes to feed the microherd.

Some conclusions and observations--

Fertilizer:
+the bacteria on the top 6 inches of soil can be about 3000-4000#’s per acre.
+ bacteria are 80-90% protein
+with proper food and 55 degree’s F bacteria can double every 15 minutes
+bacteria will put out 14% of its weight in nitrogen, 1% potassium and 3% Phosphorous ....
+just a little milk will generate much nitrogen and other minerals
+the B vitamins are a supper stimulant for bacteria. Raw milk is loaded in B vitamins
+milk is a perfect food for bacteria
+enzymes break down food for both the bacteria and mineral for the plants to take up

pesticide:
+The brix (sugar) content of a plant gets a short rise after applying raw milk. We determine the health of a plant by the sugar content
+insects do not have a pancreas so they can not process sugar, this is why a healthy plant is not attacked by many pests
+raw milk has lactase and lactose.. This alone might kill off insects

Weed pressure
+some observation that over time the applying of milk reduces weed pressure. It has been known that certain weed pressures develop indicating
Mineral imbalances. Milk may help this as it is suspected that the enzymes in milk make minerals more available
+round-up and the GMO seed reduce the soils and plants ability to use minerals by 60%. Avoid all GMO products asap. Round-up’s 1/2 life is
22 years...more later

Fungicide :
Some observations of raw milk as a fungicide have been noted. more study required Share with others in your country...this is important work.... 2-3 gallons per acres 2-4 times per growing season is all that is needed

Stoner logic aside..... I believe I was stoned when I realized it was salt....self I said, "hey this is just salt"...so my-self recognized it as sea salt and that was that. Chocked it up as a stupid mistake even after reading all the mumbo jumbo that supported its use.

I managed to evade the urge to try it even though it was offered to me free on many fronts. I could not see the point. Part of my resistance had to do with one of their main distributors running around declaring compost devoid of fungi with a little reagant kit, even though I had seen the hyphae throughout with my own compound microscope aided eyes...don't remember the brand. The guy was running around WA & OR and I met him in Yelm.

Understand your skepticism....I call claims not worthy of discussing, stoner stupid.

But, hey you have the lab and knowledge (both of which I lack)...what is the effect of Sea Minerals and Raw Milk on the soil/plant's microherd?

Logic says a grower's primary objective is to make available all the elements (sea & land minerals) a plant may desire and to supply the soil's microherd a balanced diet (mother's milk).

Unfortunately, the marriage of these two components (sea minerals & raw milk) are not widely used or known...nor can I scientifically explain why my herb has more terpenes and flavonoids than my fellow growers. But I can tell you this, something is there....and I am the only one using Sea Minerals & Raw Milk. We all know compost teas, bat guano teas, and dry organic fertilizers are not new...

I think I ran into the same guy through the Yelm peeps (Artie?), man he had the worst breath in the world and was a 'close talker.' I've never met more of a snake oil salesman in my life. It turned me off to Sea-90 too, because I assumed if he was repping it the product had to be crap, which isn't really fair.

The supplier in PDX had a visit from this fellow as well. As you can imagine they get hit pretty hard with salesman offering their solutions.

Tough sales call I'm sure

Hey CT long time gone man...

Yeah salt is salt is salt...despite the magical harvest they provide with Sea-90......but hey it's definitely not the first time some people would choose to use salt in soil eh...

Wow!
I'm absent for one day and you guys just take off over here lol

You didn't miss anything. The same old hype about things from the sea that don't do much.
I like using oats and ground up beans, but there's no magic there, just another way to feed. Somebody posted about using soil for tea. Not much for organisms, but dirt has minerals. An old farmers trick is to plant stuff in it. Not so good in pots, use muddy water to get the fines.Use your nitrogen fixers for top feed along with some composted manure. Go local.

Or mix soil with water and slap it on a face and there's the day spa industry.

Nothing about manure yet though - sit and wait is all that we can do!

Since the Blue whale has the longest penis in the animal kingdom perhaps whale baby batter could be harvested.

I'd love to see the label that Advanced Nutrients would come up with!

Harvesting this material would be an interesting career path for a few people I can think of.....

MrFixIt, Jennifer (in particular), Stanford, Martinez, et al., i.e. get them out of Portland once and for all. Have them start with the Orcas up in Puget Sound
