HL - SM-90 raises my ph also. I just add a lil extra ph down and it stablizes in a few hours.
SM-90 is neither acid nor alkaline Mr D.....It`s Coriander oil and if it raises your ph it`s due to the sequence of what else you`re addin to your juice formula/ nutrient regimen that causes actions and re-actions and yas haveta use un-needed ph chems that add X factors to your juice....

Gotta crash and no disrespect intended....Ya`ll go back in archives and research how nutes are supposed ta be mixed in their orders and ph adjusters 1 way or the other are added last after all yer shit`s settled into where it`s gonna stay after their "buffer period" ....

Mixed my next batch separately ALWAYS to see where it needed ta be before feedin the bitches the next tme...lil things...

Nite...Freds....:ying:.....

DHF - The SM-90 raises my ph maybe .3 before I add ph down. It's because I add nutes mix, add SM-90 mix, adjust ph. I don't wait between adding nutes, SM-90, and ph adjustments. So ya some kind of interaction going on. Doesn't cause any problems if used right away, but I usually mix nutes and let them sit for at least 12 hours anyway. That allows everything to become homogenous. Just took a couple batches to figure out how much ph down to add so once everything balanced out it was right where it needed to be ph wise. Never found any difference between ph'ing right away and waiting out the "buffer period" then adjusting. I'll have to brush up on my nute mixing knowledge though, might be missing something.....

HL..You da man....and......

I stand corrected while smilin for the knowledge gain , but .........

In all my evers growin dope , SM-90 never affected my ph neither in fast hydro nor coco and ........

Thank you for pointing out that it`s alkaline by nature with a ph of 9.5.....and it did raise my juice evidently .....and I put the blame elsewhere......

Absolutely something I was never aware of cuz Krusty said use it almost 20 yrs ago and I did.....and....again I say....

Never raised my ph with GH 3 part , but always thought it was the silicablast that caused it back in the day since it was/is well known potassium silicate will up your ph.....but.....

I guess it did... or rather a combo of both......and....I used very minimal doseages of PH down to keep shit in the 5.5-5.9 range in fast hydro as the bitches ate......and....

Mr D..Thanks again for your input as was also noted by HL or this might not`ve been brought to light , cuz as I said earlier.......

I thought the shit was all but organic with a neutral ph in the 7`s since it`s fuckin Coriander oil in suspension ....anyways.....

There`s still a loading order on nutes , ph adjusters , and additives ta keep shit from "acting and re-acting" when mixin nutes that can cause bullshit addin and subtactin for proper ph buffers before feedin the plants.....in the old posts/threads/archives.......

Respect guys......DHF.....:ying:.....

HL the neg rep shows up under "latest rep received" when I click on "my ic". I don't what happened and to be honest i'm not worried about it. Rep doesn't mean a thing to me . I only asked about it because you don't seem like the type to neg rep for no reason (read troll). If you think you rep button is messed up, just pm HGO and i'm sure he will sort you out. I'd guess its just your phone being touchy though, happens alot for some reason on this site.

DHF - i'd bet the buffers in your gh 3 part were enough to overcome the SM-90, so you never noticed. As mentioned it's effect on ph is minimal. Easy to assume it was just silica raising ph as that's whats it's known to do. We all learn something new everyday

Oh ye of little faith Cyat.....I`ve been preachin SM-90 for root rot prevention since Krusty made me get it back in the day , and when Nutrilife entered the Cali Med market as an organic rootzone insecticide they were turned down cuz it couldn`t be classified for root rot prevention AND rootzone insect killer , so it was classified as a wetting agent /surfactant and it never caught on in the hydro whore stores.....but...

Rest assued that IF yas use it to "innoculate" your coco BEFORE you put plants in it with 5 ml per gal PLUS use it in the rez for EVERY feed sequence you`ll not have fungus gnats OR root aphids , but as I`ve said many times once you HAVE rootborn critters that`ve hatched and proliferating , SM-90 can`t keep up and it`s chemical warfare ONLY that does the job....

Got too many testimonies from med growers/caregivers that took my advice and turned their grows around in the last several yrs cuz they attack the shit BEFORE critters can hatch and smother the eggs/larvae.....anyways....

HL...Good luck and take care....DHF....:ying:....

Is SM-90 safe in aero?/ nevermind i just did some research and found that it actually helps keep the system clean.

Gotta agree with freds here cyat. SM-90 killed literally thousands of root aphids this last month i've been battling them. It's definitely not going to save your ass if you already have an infestation, but it does kill them. I used it to allow some clones to regain health before dosing with IMID. Mostly it was an experiment to see if it worked or not as I could just replace the clones if it didn't. I will be continuing to use it to innoculate all media from here on out, and for it's other benifits ;).

Shit works.......and smells good in the process.....:moon:.....and....

Fer all yas organic or even coco foliar sprayin kinda guys with cal/mag issues or not and doin it for increased metabolism........

SM-90 being oil based as a surfactant/wetting agent allows the foliar spray to cling more to the foliage without dripping off for more time the leaves can absorb the shit that was sprayed on em ftw.....

The lil things guys....DHF....:ying:.....
