It is "supply and demand" that dictate prices, dyammn dude??? Legalities due come into play i.e. (prices in states where MJ is still completely outlawed, low supply ...due to local laws = HIGH prices)

marijuana is only legal at the state level.. federally it's still illegal. prices are always determined by supply and demand.. legality affects supply and demand. At the moment, legality is the biggest determinant of supply.

i know a ton of growers and dealers who have literally no clue on the politics behind marijuana and where this movement is going...they literally think they can keep pumping out herb for years and years, they dont invest their profits they waste it on partying and dumb shit.....i am fully aware of the possibilities this industry is headed..ive been re-investing most of my funds into projects that could possibly give me a heads up should things get legalized...

i dont buy into the fact that all of a sudden big pharma will take over and supply 100% of marijuana...if you look at wine and alcohol there are dominant players but plenty of small ones....there is a big market for boutique, organic, sustainable farmed, etc....only the pawns and idiots would want to smoke mass produced government weed...people can also breed their own super strains and hoard them to death so that the guvvment cant sell similar that would also give you a edge...

but yea 90%+ of people involved now will be out of business, all the idiot gangsters, thugs, morons looking for a quick buck..most of them dont care about MJ at all they just care about money. i wont feel that much sympathy for this crowd when it all goes up in smoke....but my circle of growers we are all on the same page pretty much and i think we could make a decent fight in a legalized economy....

If it was national legalization I think that 99% of us would be out of business. If it was just say Cali then what Yes For Prop just described would be possible. National legalization would end mom and pop for sure. There would be big companies that could easily grow high end meds. I think it would be closer to farming than alcohol or wine. Especially with indoor, you could set up some quality facilities that would produce Aaa+ for super cheap. I just don't think they will ever make it nationally legal. The govt makes way to much money with it being illegal

we would have to join together and make a labor union to retain power. ahhhh the beauty of collective bargaining. We could also make a self governing classification system like the sommelier system fro wine. Basically we would turn the industry into one like alcohol. There would be giant corporations that pump out shit like Budweiser, and then there will be single vineyard wines that sell for over a thousand bucks each in restaurants, and that is crappy american wine. single vineyard wines from Bordeaux and Burgundy go for even more. there will be opportunity from so many angles. Think about the gold rush. The people that sold picks and shovels made as much as some of the best miners.

i myself would have given you positive rep anyway while informing you that while this thread is indeed called "Wholesale pot prices plummet in CA" the actual article is talking about how pot prices are falling due to legalization and demand growing along with people who are now flooding the market with supply causing prices to drop. go read the first page yourself if you don't remember.

Ran across a 20 pack deal of Blue Dream today for 18 each. Will see if that works for local friends who need that much as I'm committed and it won't last long. I'm still finding deals but some people I talk to in person are saying prices are ticking up. Just a few weeks ago got some primo Blue Dream for 16 each and no where near that volume requirement so guess things have changed. Was told today one contract price for BD was 15 each for 500 packs a year total so 18 ain't too far off I guess for this time of year. Also heard that in the last few weeks things are starting to fly off the shelves.

Just my opinion, and sorry for barging in, and if someone already said this. First ppl should realize that the man, the person who use to make things happen on the streets, well somehow life forgot all about him, and those who control the whole game. Some say government, I say keep it coming... So many ppl got their hand in position to gain from the turn to legalize, and you thought the shops had numbers.

My only point is right before prop 19 which was not for the good for 215 card holders, but the quality of meds was awesome, but, and theres always that butt, so many clubs started trucking away trying to make all they could before a raid, so quality was first to go. Then you have the shady practise of shaking the buds! This is just incase you dont know, taking trichs off good wholesome buds to make edibles, then still sale the buds at top shelf. Yes dispicable! I worked in a shop, and learned real quick, most people in the game played it like a snatch, and grab.

Tho this is, and others are bunch a crap, it should not reflect the whole bunch. See ppl who grow football feild size grows, what do you think they are about? Not quality, so when 30 million citizens can buy, you care less. So in my opinion they quality is out the window, and is the biggest reason clubs arent paying.

To prove the fact to myself, I started growing, and without knowing crap bout it, I still grown better buds than any club I had visited, even my favorite. I do think most the stats have alot to do with weed not being the evil everyone sees it for what it is now so the fade is going away, then you have the fact more ppl are like me, growing more!

So my friends, dont get caught up in the hype, and fire, and explosions they do, most of it is marketing, as we are in recesion, ppl rather make some money than no money, and it goes for the corrupt crooked bastards involved at the top, even your political figures, even if they dont push for medical weed, best believe they smoke hard, fantastic shite, I put money on it!!! I've been seeing 25 a lb for very good indoor for a few months now. Some deals in the low 20's popped up though. Great indoor is more like 27-28 a lb for small orders. I'm not talking about stuff like Cookies and OG. Was offered some indoor today for 25 each and passed. Super nice very overweight lb of outdoor OG today for 18 available. Some odd overweight packs of really nice outdoor for 18 each also.

Seems like we picked up speed a little in the last week....and prices are reflecting that....all the easy outdoor is gone....now you have to hunt for it and the ticket is higher.

As far as the indoor market.....as fast as its trimmed it gone to patients, at a donation way over....what it was 1 month ago....donations are moving up.

There is still 5 months to go before any outdoor come on the market.

I have already pulled a crop in my GH, and am pulling another in 2 weeks-- The only time I have to use Light Depo, is with Sativas...my indica's and Kush's have been finishing just fine without it--

A new aquantance of mine "suposedly" just moved here from California.Where he worked as a trimmer for large operation.He's been "suposedly" getting packs shipped here from his friends out west.

Well my boy is on his way over their to buy a few ounces,he's asking market price $350 each.I don't even charge that,but it "suposedly" has been neatly trimmed ,removed of all stems ect ect.And is said to be something good ,kush ect ect.

So this will be my first look at "supposed" California grass.I wonder if it will be outdoor? or indoor?
