too thick for hydro

too thick for hydro

I been growing for 15yrs in hydro, I tried many ,some too organic for my system,I get too much algae growing from pbp and many others, they will clog your system,,,I always went back to fox farms nutes just for it's fast action and clean root system,my plant gets almost root bound from it in 5 gal buckets and white as a ghost,,i just use Grow big and big bloom all the way through and im done,,don't need muscles to shake it ,,I have a friend who I gave some plants to and he killed them fast with that stuff,,but he was new to hydro .....but I never really gave that brand a good chance, maybe i need more time with it to work it out...

Shake, shake, shake...shake your booty !

Shake, shake, shake...shake your booty !

3 mls per gallon/some enzymes/some sugars/a~Lil acids and
then simply kick back and watch the show..., the shit's better
than gold, it's purple, green and red, all my favorite colors ! :ying:

P.S. A dash or two of kool bloom powder, start'n the last week
of veg, and the first 3 weeks of flower, sure don't hurt anything either.

Nice thread, I have always heard nothing but good things about flora nova. I understand it is organic/chem nute blend.

How well does it perform in an organic grow setup? Does the pH need to be vigorously monitored? My organic grows, I really don't worry about pH due to the buffering abilities of the beneficials and dolomite limestone. I assume this would still be ok?

I also see the FN Bloom has kind of a high N. What are everyone's experiences with sensitive sativa strains that don't like too much N, esp in flowering?

What about shelf life? since it is super concentrated, how long does it last for smaller scale growers?

I’ve been using FN Bloom for years and I’m pretty sure it’s not organic, and I’m not aware of any FN organic lines. That being said, the PH of FN Bloom is certainly one of the most stable of any nute solution I’ve ever come across. I’ve also been growing the same sour diesel (mostly sativa) strain for a while and it loves FN Bloom – no nitrogen problems at all. As for the shelf life, when used in a system capable of producing 1/4lb every 2 months, a small $26 bottle lasts around 6 months, though this really depends on the setup.

I've used Flora Nova for many years along with other nutes. It's a great product but I've noticed something change over the last few years. Here is a sample of what FNB does @4ml. no boosters. This is a lower bud but the frost is everywhere!

Flora nova works its easy that pretty much sums it up. If you use the whole feed chart all the additives but keep the floranova at both grow and bloom at 4ml per gallon then flush for 10 days before harvest you wil have heavy tasty buds........ so long as you dont harvest early.

To all who use FN in sunshine#4.. at 3-4ml a gal how often r u feeding? Every other? Everytime? Or two feeds one water? And same question to those who use 8 ml per gal? An do you achieve runoff? If no runoff how is ur soil ec doin?

Flora Nova is the best hands down been indoors for 17 years tried it all , its the most easy nutes to use with the best tasting product for my patients to enjoy, remember you my have the chron but yea mine taste better..............try it!!! oh and you will spend less money or Flova nova they any other product line. Heres how I grow sunshine #4 in 3 gallon pots finished. Flora Nova Grow with canna rhizotonic in veg, then Flora Nova Bloom with added Kool Bloom liquid thats it TASTE I grow for the best taste I want my smoke to taste like the strain suppose too not just like weed, like the strain. And OSBC you can use it at every watered at 5mm per gallon in sunshine 4 and be fine but GH suggest every third feeding use plain water. and there it is in a nutshell

Vaped - How do you know when to feed your plants additional cal-mag?

Thanks!

I try to dose them with some cal-mag every 2 feedings or so let's say. Just to be safe Even going 1/4 strength every feeding or every other This all depending on your water supply. If using r/o or distilled I'd recommend more often. But if using tap it is a little dif since it already contains some Or you could really inspect for any spots hinting a deficiency is near. Calmag can lock each other out very easily from my experience too But just always pay attention to your plants and you should be able to tell if there's anything wrong a lot sooner

Ive had my Flora Nova for over 2 years. 1 bottle opened and 1 bottle never opened... I cannot remember what they used to smell like but they have a strong smell of vinegar now... quite a sharp smell. WHAT DOES A FRESH BOTTLE OF NOVA SMELL LIKE?
i used the unopened bottle and everything was good, in rdwc, for a couple weeks but now i'm getting what looks like a manganese deficiency and i suspect its due to the nutes being expired. never had a problem with Flora Nova before...
