how much pollen did you hit them with mate?

If you just select pollinated a few little buds, then you won't see them slow down much if at all..

If you fully pollinate a girl then it will pretty much shut down her efforts to produce new bud, In my experience :)

Looking good anyways

yeah your right about canna mate they do say use it only 1 week at full dosage but what they dont tell you is you can use it at smaller dosages over a longer period of time

what happens if you use the pk boost for 1 week at full dosage and your plants dont use it ?

and why do different nutrient companys all have different stages of the life cycle to use their pk boost?

canna beggining of flower

vitalink 3 weeks before harvest

hesi start of flower till flush

when they all contain the same ingredients

which 1 is right

True that... it's all confusing... i'll let you know if i get it clarified

UPDATE!

So.... were basicly haftway there... loads of time left for these buds to fatten and ripen up:smoke:

As i said earlier i ordered one pack of AK47 and Mi5...and 2x Blue Himalaya are freebies

really looking forward for that, always wanted to grow AK! and Mi5 seems off the hook!

Im thinking im gonna run these in big pots since these strains can grow pretty big, probably gonna try 5gal pots.

Im thinking i should start them all asap as they arrive.. it's looking really empty in the tent right now,
im not sure if i should switch out the bloom bulb for the veg one once i throw in all the new autos together with the 3NYLDS...as they're still ripening up

Anyways.. some pics

* 39days from seed
* 35days above soil

I feel your pain on not getting any vigorus ONYX girls....same thing happend to me with my NYLD!!! was SUPER PISSED out of 10 seeds, got 7 boys 1 runt & 2 retarted looking females...tossed everybody except the healthy runt< my fault, I think..(germed in jiffy pellets! left them when I went out of twn for 3 days and when I came back they were doin the cheesey wiggle....long/spindly<I HATE THOSE EFFING THINGS!!!! dry out to fast... I will NEVER use them again!!!!) anyways, after the fact,(threw away NYLD males! UGHH!!*%#! wished I didn't!) I pollinated the NYLD runt with AK pollen, I believe she is a runt from grower error, not genetics...so we shall see....

Yeah i know.. i raised the lamp just abit and made sure the air pumped into the tent was a little colder.. temps are nice now

Well, im hoping for some nice bud atleast, I wish they were started below the 600watter too... then we would see for sure what they yield in soil, but i guess it's gonna be pretty impressive anyways.

Yeah! really looking forward for the ak47 especially! strong odours on that one yeah?

Doh, sorry to hear!

Was a bummer that i didnt end up with any good onyx females to run, i will be left with the qustion of how big they woul get... more chances later on, might try it sometime in the future:)

I really liked your AK47's so im hoping mine turn out just as beautiful...:smoke:

I actually have a temp metre reading the top of the highest plant already, it wasn't that high before... but i made sure it dropped a couple of degrees.

I think it's fine now... awesome yield there man... im hoping these will too:smoke:

Really looking forward for the ak47's .... always been my fav strain and i've not even grown it..lol

I noticed the AK has a tall & dense top cola which yields alot and then lower side branches coming up by the sides also yielding but alot less dense bud,,, was thinking of LST'ing them all... a good idea to boost yield on these..?

SandNUT,....Do you have pictures of the onyx male when it was more mature?

No sorry bro, it's long gone... didn't take any pics of it at later stages either besides from whats already in the thread

Yaaaaaaaaay..... im so happy with dope-seeds

seeds were delivered today, and its been over the weekend, i wasn't expecting them to arrive untill like atleast 4 more days.

Im so lucky... as I didnt get any decent onyx females this grow... i actually got additional freebies... guess what... 5onyx! haha so lucky right!

now we will finally see some onyx female(s)! :smoke:

don't know if you can actually read what's on the labels, heres what i got once again:)

ak47 x10reg
Mi5 x10reg
Blue Himalaya x2fem freebies
Onyx x5reg
freebies

Im gonna germ these straight away... gonna put them each in a glass of water for 24h... never tried with that before, might just aswell do it for the germ rate.

on to the next issue... as im trowing the new batch of strains into the empty tent together with the NYLD's comes the problem with the bulb, continue with bloom bulb/ switch to veg bulb?

as im probably gonna end up with 13females atleast.... it would be a smart thing to start all of these with the veg bulb.. how much would it affect the NYLD in last stages of budding,ripening?

and other way around, would the seedlings stretch alooot with bloom bulb that it would hurt yield later on? ( im thinking 3/4 stains have ak in em... sativa dom, they get pretty tall for an auto... dont want a christmas tree in there lol :biglaugh:

and some pics from the NYLD's in the tent...

* 42days from seed
* 38days above soil

(I've only fed them twice with very small dozes of hesi pk13/14 and continued with plain tap water.... think im gonna start feeding them more very soon... everything looks good sofar

IMO buds are pretty big and dense already for 40~ days in... were gonna have some really nice buds i think..!

your plants are on the verge of over feed, look at the leaf tips bending over you can probably see the leaf tips turning yellow id stop with the pk and feed and just use water for a bit, also your leaves are canoeing which is a sign of heat stress

The heat stress seems to be minimal, i wouldnt worry about it, sometimes heat stress is worth the buds density in the end..

If i were you, i would keep using the HPS bulb, start the new ones under HPS, thats what i do and they turn out fine, most autos ive grown have sexed before 20, only a couple after that..

Or start them with your CFLs and move them under the HPS as soon as they sex, then start more under the cfls, and repeat!

The heat stress is all from earlier on when i had just set up the kit.. temps were at 33+ at top canopy at that time, now they have been at a steady 27 since i sorted it out... i think whats left to see are those old signs,

Yeah i probably should continue with plain water.. the soil im using is pretty rich in nutes, might just aswell keep it this way:smoke:

Yeah i agree :)

Im not sure about the hps/veg issue.. I feel like i want to do this next run all out and the way it should be, big pots and everything to see what they do in perfect circumstances! unlike the nyld that were started in crappy lights and small containers, still pretty small containers...

but i will run thee NYLD again.. one proper run, I really like these:smoke:

I will see what i do in the end! :tiphat:

Love your grow mate, good work. Cant wait to see them finish. Have couple of Onyx crosses going my self at the moment, great strain and it does really well in crosses as well. Really like the shiny dark green leaves you get of the onyx and the smell is just perfect!

Keep them updates coming!!
