Nice,I have a mag 1k so I'm sure I'm good did plan on gettin digi tho good Q!! and didn't think of tryin ebay got it shipped for $152 tho I'm happy it should be here sat or monday and the flop is on,can't wait to see what my BBK in veg is gonna do under 1k super hps horti

Lets us know if it really works on digital ballasts, read some stuff about it burning out tho im unsure if it was just forum trolls. Tho note it didnt burn out as in flames, the relay controlling it just broke i believe. With digital ballasts you have to turn the ballast off before switching to another light, thats the issue as i know.
Tottaly guys,I have a 400w lumatek I'll try it on plan to use on a mag for now tho we'll see how it likes the lumatek first looks awesome tho has a slave plug so you can link multiple ones to eachother I'll prolly get more if it proves worthy for my future 12k flipflop.
I'm no electrician so I only sorta know what that means,but like I sait I'm gonna use it for my mag 1k just gonna try with the digi and see how she flips a digi

Are those markings on the outside of a home made flipbox? Also does a homemade come with a warranty? I think I'll be ok even if the digi test fails both have warrantys. Man I can't wait to get it I'm so excited!!!

Yea its a very economical way of doing it, also you will avoid powerspikes. And yes, all you need is what you mentioned as long as the unit works. Wether or not this unit works with digital ballasts as the company claims is a mystery as of yet, tho im sure someone will try it out soon enough.
You can buy a 30 amp dpdt relay for $20-35 dollars with warranty that is sure to work. I understand wanting brand name things sometimes, but in my situation, I am the only person with access to my grow room. The only problem I see is the relay under the pretty painted cover is usually junk. I don't see this being an option for a commercial set up, but what do I know. Good luck with the new toy. good call, just buy another ballast or two and if u need to go commercial someday you'll just have the investment of the flopflip box left.
I don't see how if this thing "Actually Works" it wouldn't work in a bigger op,I plan on if it works to flip 6 1k ballast and if that works then up it to 12 1k ballast on generator/solar/windmill. Woot woot!!
This unit flips 1 ballast to 2 bulbs. you would need 6 flipbox's to flip 6 ballasts to 12 bulbs. If your going to be using a flip flop for multiple ballasts there are other units, Horti-Control http://horticontrol.com/store.html makes a sick unit, that a few ICmaggers use. and there's the Electroyield http://www.progressive-growth.com/proddetail.php?prod=43015 which I haven't heard much about, good or bad. It just seems you would spend an awful lot of $ buying a flipbox for every ballast although it would make for a simple set up/clean up and not complicate things.
