I find it interesting that just last week the news outlets were saying Obama hasn't succeeded in courting the Hispanic vote with his Mexican day at the White House, his hosting of the Mexican president, and his promises. There was concern that losing the hispanic vote, along with the lefty liberal white vote that is pissed at him, would mean that Obama would lose the House and Senate in the mid-term elections.

Then THIS week, this memo surfaces from his administration exploring avenues of mass legalization of illegal (read Mexican) immigrants in the absence of official immigration reform. Now it looks like he's for legalizing the 12 million who are committing and crime AND jumping in line in front of all the people that follow the rules. Is he really going to legalize all them or just LOOK like he's pro long enough to help his democratic cronies keep their House and Senate seats?

But i do know that i wouldn't do the work for the pay they make. Can our farmers afford to pay more? Hell no.

The man charged in the case, Carlos A. Martinelly Montano, 23, of Bolivia, had two prior drunken driving convictions, but was not required to serve any of his 30-day sentence for the first one. A Prince William County judge required Montano to serve only 20 days of his approximately one-year sentence on his second conviction.

as far as the federal government goes it needs to be LIMITED and yes each state should be able to dictate their own immigration laws and WHO GIVES A FUCK what the feds feel should be law because WE THE PEOPLE have local and state rights and that limited government that we should have NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT BACK.

If you aren't rich, don't have an immediate family member who is already a citizen, or are marrying a citizen, you are SOL, it's not going to happen. All of our ancestors who immigrated years ago and made this country what it is did it at a time when our laws were much more open.

ya im kinda surprised its still up....and i dont mean to be disrespectful to the op( i like sleepy!)...but it did start w an email and not a'news' article or other verifiable story....look, this issue is so complicated....it is going to take so much to curb the problem...heres a few random thoughts of mine on the subject:
-moral issues....yes i know we won the war w mexico, but the fact we TOOK part of the western us from mexico cannot be discounted(especially since we took the rest of the continent from an indigenous people)
-i LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE when states stand up to the federal government
-i HAAAAAATE when the federal govt fights back against the states right to govern itself
-if i were a latino born in america, or arizona especially, and a cop asked me to prove i was american and did not hold a white, black, asian, pink or purple person to the same exact standard, while i may not have been a criminal BEFORE the conversation started, i would almost CERTAINLY be one by the time the conversation ended
-i HATED seeing american kids of mexican heritage, in san diego, protesting the fact illegals couldnt get drivers licenses...made me want to bitch slap them and thierfuckin parents
