I've never used Epsom Salt except in the bathtub, so I can't help you with the dosage, but you can buy it at just about any pharmacy. No tricks, no gimmicks, just go in and ask for Epsom Salt. It comes in a box and it's very inexpensive.

BTW - it's very soothing in the bath. Seems to help relax your muscles and it's good for your skin too.

Rust spots are either a PH problem or a calcium deficiency, so maybe you should try Cal/Mag?

:yeahthats

Mag deficiency is when the leaves turn a yellowish green, like a nitrogen def, starting from bottom leaves..there are 2 tell tale signs of a mag def..light green leaves but the veins stay dark green..and the tips of the leaves curl UP..this is called "praying for magnesium"..

epsom salts can easily be found in walgreens, navvarro,or any similar big box pharmacy..and it can be found in ANY respectable pharmacy store..as epsom salt is used as a soothing soak mixture,or for stomach problems..just go to the medicine aisle..

its best used as a foliar feed, with 2 TEASPOONS per gallon of hot water..the hot water dissovles it better, with cold water, the powder just stays suspended, and isnt really "mixed" into the water, thus making your attemtps futile..

im in bcuzz hydro mix, it has dolomite lime added, and my runoff is always around 7.1 my water fert mix is around 6.6-6.9 and its fairly stable just alot of rust in my tap well water.
i dont have any filters im adding some soon already got them but doing a small test with pure tap..

my leaves are curling up and light green with greener viens,, and rust spots, its been slowing getting worse but now at 25 days its starting to show, i thought i was getting water on the leaves and that was causing the spots, but now i know its a mag dif..

where do i get this calcium dosage? cheap? probly, sounds cheap lol..

thanks again for all the replys, ill keep the salts in mind for the futur.

thisones for you

That DEF sounds like megnesium def..the thing is,ph jas a direct result on what nutrients the plant can absorb..you can have a medium full of nutes,or a reservoir with a high concoction of nutrients and chemicals..but if the ph is off, then the plant cant abosrt any of it..

1.in a real organic grow, either in soil or soilless..the medium will have beneficial organisms, myccoriizae, and humus...all of this, especiialy the humic acid in the humus..buffers and feed the plant..the humic acid (humus is found in compost, worm castings) allows the plants to absrob the nutes in a WAY off ph..this is why ph is not AS important in organic growing..

2.BUT in a hydro method..either using soilles or water..EVERYTHING about the nutrients, etc is controlled direclty by YOU..there is no buffers,no microbial life, humus,or anything that can help the roots absorb food at less than optimum ph..if the ph is too low (less than 5.5) or too high(7.0)..the roots cant uptake any nutrients..the optimal ph in ANY hydro is 5.8-6.1...MAGNESIUM is best absorbed by cannabis in 5.8...

3.since you MIGHT not have the IDEAL ph..remedy your mag deficincy with epsom salt by foliar feeding the leaves with 2 teaspoons per gallon of HOT water...do this every 3 days until the problem goes away..since tis a folira feed, you dont have to worry about ph,lockout,etc..just a wuick instans defiencincy fix..

dont spray the buds..especialy this late in flower..throughly mist ALL the leaves with a FINE mist..spray the bototm of the leaves very good,as this is where most of the sotmata are located..also,do it either at night,or just as soon as the lgihts come on..as the temps get higher, the stomatae close..so spray when the temps are coolest..try not to wet the buds..jsut the leaves..also,make sure the water is HOT when you mix the epsom salt to disslve it better

No No No00o00!
Treat the PROBLEM,bro!
Your WATER!!
Buy a reverse osmosis water filter, and replacement cartridges.
Install.
Don't use a "hardwater" nute or cal-mag,or epsom salts,get a filter.
While you're at it,get one for your house, you shouldn't drink or bathe in rust!
Never, ever treat a plant when you can improve the environment before the fact.
Look at it like this-don't feed the plants anything that you yourself would find generally unappetizing, all things considered.
Like shitty water.
You don't drink it (I hope!) so don't feed it to a plant-or anything you eat or smoke.
An RO filter is available at home supply stores or grow shops online and off.

There's your Total Answer.

Cheers!

I'm with Rez on this one. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Or, using condoms is better than having to use penicillin.
