the pc fans are there only to cool the lamps. I use a stanley blower as my main fan. It creates enough negative pressure to suck the access panels in.

I see, I misunderstood you then, you were talking about those as two separate things. From the way you wrote that it seemed like you were talking of replacing the blower. How loud is that blower anyhow? I hadn't really considered one before because I assumed it would be hella loud.

the blower has the sound of rushing air. No motor or blade noise. It is quieter than a box fan or desk fan

Threads ebb and flow. Keep posting your results, get better pics, whatever you like. Once you have final results a bunch of people will pop up and say "I've been reading from the beginning! Way to go!"

i was directed to this awesome setup but twrex and had a quick question. The tubes you say are 1 1/4" ID but 55W PL-Ls are 1.5" (bulb width). Is this just my lights and you have smaller diameter ones, or does the tube just flex around the light a little bit to fit snug?

Im not sure about your bulbs. My bulbs are 1.5" at the base (plastic part) and the glass is alot more narrow fits in the t12 tube guards with room to spare. By the way t12 = 1.2" t8 = .8" t5 = .5" tube size.

at week 12 first harvest I acheive system balance. My cab is full at week 12 also supposedly up to speed. Some come out earlier some later but I try to keep it balanced. Strain and phenotype knowledge really helps. I read the plants and fudge the times a little.

I tried the tube guard approach earlier this year and rejected it.

You can purchase clear 2" rigid tubing used in central vac installations. The elbows and connectors for central vac tubing are much easier to work with and form a tight seal. The multiple connector options also allow for more varied manifold style connections for air flow controls, too.

Central vac tubing is a little more $ than the tube guards, but still very inexpensive.

Okay, I'll bite, this sounds cool, where would one find such an item? A link with prices would be most appreciated. :)
