Fridgidaire mini fridge demo and construction

grill for exhaust and trellis material

grill for exhaust and trellis material

heres the grill that came with the fan. il be useing iton the ceiling of the flower cab. the scrubber will be directly on top of it which will be located between the flower and utility cabs. this should give it a nice clean factory look.

heres some 2"x2" plastic fencing material i found at Lowes that il use for the trellis. now all i have to do is come up with a frame. i think first i should get the res so that i can atatch the trellis to it.

Hey Black Sheep

Good job on passing that test. :yoinks:

When i was cutting holes for ventilation in my fridge, i had to remove tiny portion of that nasty foam and it was hell, especialy since i was working im my BEDROOM :wallbash:
You really showed that fridge who's the boss haha...

Your fridge is inspiring me to do a "fridge redux" and make more room for the ladies. Can't wait for you to complete your build. :woohoo:

hey ids thanx for stopping buy. o damn that stuff goes everywhere i cant believe you did that in your bedroom!

as far as showing the fridge who the boss is it pretty much a tie. damn thing has drawn plenty of blood. lol

im glad i inspired you. its a pain in the ass but its well worth the trouble for the room you gain. i believe you will be very pleased with the end result.

hey all its Black Sheep. i went to change my email adress and accidently put the wrong one in and now i cant acees that profile. im still continueing with the build. i spent about four hours cutting out insulation and the hump. theres just some of the plastic liner thats pressed into a small channel all around both of the doors. im still trying to come up with a way to remove it. any advice out there? then il start on the build up. i seen Scrub Ninjas kickass idea with the angle light trap so il be oredering some angle soon and get that ready for the fridge. il get some more pics posted here in a day or so. if anyone has an idea as to how i can get back on my Black Sheep profile please let me know. iv emailed the webmater three times but havent gotten a reply as of yet.

I did the same thing with my old account. Skip either doesn't have your info or won't give it to ya for security reasons. I've only seen one exception where a staffer knew the member and intervened on their behalf.

For the plastic removal, I'd use a junk knife and a blow torch. Use a glove or wrap the knife handle so you can hold it in your hand. Heat the blade with the blow torch. Medium heat will mimic a cut. High heat will just melt the shit outta the plastic. You'll have to gauge the temp that gives you the best control. More heat usually means more mess but the metal channel in the door should prevent you from going too far. Use the heated tip of the blade to further clean the channel. Once the plastic remnants are below the channel, use caulk to dress the channel smooth. Hope this makes sense.

thanx thats a great idea. simple and easy definitely makes sense. i guess il be known as disfunktional now. lol im going to down load some pics tonite of the gutted fridge. im takeing measurements for the MDF panels that will line the inside to help make the fridge more rigid. its pretty damn flimsy. for the doors im thinking of makeing a fiberglass recessed insert so that i can lay sum fiberglass onto it and what will be lefft of the factory door insert. my hopes are that by keeping part of the factory insert in tact that i will be able to keep the factory seal for stealth reasons.

alrite iv got a few more pics here the first pic is a shot from the back after the gutting

heres the motabo grinder that i used to cut out the ""hump". it turns metal into hot butter its one bad ass tool but one wrong slip and your cut to the bone :yoinks:

woowhoo!!!:woohoo: heres a shot of the first piece of the MDF that will the cieling of the utility room. theres a plastic top that needs to be modified before it can be installed on top to keep the factory look which is a must for stealth. i have the piece of MDF cut for the floor but before i can do that i must remove the factory metal piece that you can see at the bottom. it keeps the fridge square with the world so iv been takeing measurements and double and triple checking them. another thing before i can install the floor i would like to locate another set of adjustable feet so that it can be adjusted at all four corners. and it would look more stock with those instead of anything that i could fabricate. the problem im haveing is that there is no parts order list in the manual:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash: so it may take a day or two of looking to find some. while im doing that i plan on figureing out the amount of materials that i will need to build a ScrubNinja style light trap. one bad ass simmple as hell light trap you have got to check it out http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=135524

Kolor Blind u stoner! :D
It happends to me all the time to forget forums, mail and other logins.
The thing that makes it worse is these new web browsers... they all want to remember your password for you, and when u reinstall your OS they are gone, and so is your memory lol :D

Anyway, the fridge is looking good so far. You definitly know what you are doing, unlike me :D

Stay green!

Hey man wicked build. Your sig doesn't work by the way, you need to remove the extra http:// at the start.

hey ScrubNinja thanx for stopping in and the compliment and for pointing out my sig prob. should be fixed now. i ordered the material for the light trap. but i think im going to change up what i originally decided to go with. i ordered the 1"x1.5"x.125" aluminum angle, but after some thinking and figureing i am now going to go with 1.5"x1.5"x.125" and il be useing a .5" spacer. il post them once i finish fabbing it up. thanx again for the thread on it. i figured it up and with this design il be saveing a total of .9375 cubic feet just shy of a fuul cubic foot.

well crap how do i unlock them? i had a problem posting them to the thread i had to copy and paste them because when i clickedd on them they wouldnt drag. idk m lost with it. and damnit believe it or not i was sober when i redid my sig. lemme try it again im sorry for all the technical difficulties.

Here's what works for me. Click the "Post Reply" button located at the upper right corner of the "Post Quick Reply" window. This should take you to the advanced window. Select the old album or the new one, depending on which one you loaded pics to. Select the sub album, then scroll to the pic you wish to post.

Not real sure from your description but a click and drag requires you to hold the left click down while you simultaneously drag the thumbnail to your post. Clicking, then dragging won't work, you must "click and drag." If done correctly, the new thumbnail in your post is also a link to the expanded pic. If you want your post to show only the expanded pic, click the thumbnail in the album window to expand. Drag the expanded pic to your post. Hope this helps.

ya i tried the click left button and hold it then drag but that doesnt work. but i did figure out why the pics were takeing everyone to the "you do not have permission" page. for some reason they werent in my album. im going to postem again.
