sounds weird
last year my oldfarmer nepals where finished before leb27 and i had a special pheno of the nepal that was one of the earliest flowering in the garden
im not running the nepal as pure this year but i have one of them as a cross and they started flowering a week ago or so
the earliest i have flowering this year is my royal dane x erocket/danish passion
the males flowered long ago and the females started shortly after

h^2 O:
sorry i dont know they axe strain so i cant tell
regarding my own genetics i had hoped that they could be available here in large numbers but me and seedbay havent had success in cutting a deal that suited both parties so most my seeds will go to CLBA that sells them where they feel the breeders needs are being taken proper care of
ill donate some of my seeds to the site as freebies and to the server charity auctions and maybe a few will go up in seedbay for regular sales, but most will be sold elsewhere, sad but true

Nordic strains are already available at numerous places at good prices ( Google is your friend )

This has been a great thread to read - I am soon starting a UK outdoor breeding project with a friend. We are starting with some Durban crosses and will put the fastest clones out in 2010, but I am now very interested in using Danish/Nordic strains for this project as the UK has roughly the same Longitude.

We aim to get a truebreeding strain for the UK and then we'll post the seeds to people for free around the world, and ask them to continue the line.

Hey, gunnar and esbe and all of you that are working with these strains can I ask you for advice? Which strain of these is/are the best for keeping motherplant and taking clones, since Gunnar you've mentioned that they like to flower since they are semi-auto's?!?!:

Royal Dane x Thyphoon
Oldfarmer Nepal
Danish Gold
Afghan
Deep Chunk/E-Rocket x B3N7Erdpurt/Royal Dane
B3N7/Erdpurt

I need a mother for clones, in season 2010! Can you please give me advice on this? Tnx!

@ AdvancedGenetix - I guess the DC x would be ok for cloning and maybe also some phenos in B3N7Erdpurt.

@dyr,

is this maybe tested from your side? By the way, did anybody tested these strains for clones? It would mean alot to me if some nordic grower could do a quick report on these adapted strains regarding cloning and keeping a motherplant.(strains from the previous list written by me) Thanks!

Outdoor plants can be a bit tricky to veg indoors, yes.
I also think that many of the Esbe crosses would be ok to make into mothers. I'm trying to make mothers out of the following - might try other stuff too:
Phil's Erdpurt*E-rocket/DP. Early pheno - flowering cuts brought in from outside - hoping to reveg.
Erdpurt F2 - also early, flowering cuts like the above plant.
Freja - this lady started auto-flowering from being rootbound. I just kept it inside and repotted her - she's revegging very well.

It's best to get started very early with this if that's your plan because some might just flower on you.
Don't let them get rootbound - outdoor plants are not bred for growing in small pots and might punish you if you do. Take cuts from time to time and veg them too - just to make sure you have something up your sleeve if the original decides to flower on you.
I give them 19 hours per day - more might be better at preventing flower (Just look at the Reibsi Auto-Affy that needs at least 22 hours to stay in veg - what a gem!)

Wouldn't it be cool to find the "golden" pheno... perfect for indoor and outdoor even in northern climates - possible to keep as mothers...

Is there a strain there that can cause a clear head high but with body numbing? i'd like to know for medical reasons :)

2 Thyphoon and 1 leb (purple pheno) harvested on 2 sept. fully ripe! What a difference with dutch (outdoor) genetics who start to flower now.So my danish friends you could say that for northern countries (also like belgium where I live) these are the seeds to work with and keep the dutch seeds for the mediteranian countries, because here they are to late.
So thanks again for the excellent strains!

has anyone heard of the strain suomi sativa?

I bought a pack on seedbay in the private breeders section. I've never heard of it, but it sounds good. just wondering if anyone has grown or smoked it before. thanks
here is the decription:

Suomi Sativa is probably the earliest sativa you will ever grow!
This outstanding sativa line originates in Finland and will reward the grower with nice buds even in the harshest climate.
Suomi sativa playfully endures cold temperatures and wet weather conditions as it was inbred in Finland for decades.
This extremely photoperiod sensitive strain starts flowering in June and is ready for harvesting in mid to late august if planted in may.
The sweet bubblegum/candy smell with its spicy note resembles some african sativas.
Environment: recommended for outdoor
Harvest: late august
Yield: moderate
Size: 1-1,5m
Genetics: probably pure sativa
Seeds: 10 per pack
