Congrats on all the new seedlings Core. Stems should be strong in a few weeks I have had some real big stretchers over the years and I use about the same method as you but I was using clothes hangers. But I don't think its a geat idea as they rust and I'm not to sure if thats so healthy for the little ones. Best of luck with all of them I'll be watching with excitement!

Don't really have too much trouble with them stretching anyway. I start my seeds under the 600w. Just somewhere in a corner of the room. Those few cms don't really matter to me and I didn't notice them stretching even more from lying down. But they don't stretch much under the 600. I also often start training when they're still seedlings.
I might try it out next time so I can see if it's any different from doing nothing at all.

yes its a good and easy way to support them little ones...but i know what you mean with the metal ...it oxydates ...thats why i use wire with plastic around
but in a few days they will grow stronger...i put a small fan on'm for stemtraining
btw did you gro 'm?
owh and thanks for the visit ..you're always welcome to peek in and to comment

heya Sativa....
Not wanne come of like a dick my friend...but i totally do not use HPS for veg...its not economical and it does not allow you to put the light close to the seedlings....
its one of the things o don't have and that is much headspace ...thats why i use TL's for seedlings and clones.....it allows me to minnimize the plants stretch ...but if you do that test you'll see the diffrence in no time !!
thanks for being here :D

I see highly enjoyable holidaze in your future...

no prob my friend thx for the advice. I'm still learning, I've only been growing indoors for a few months now.
I know it's not the best method but I only start a few seedlings a time and my veg chamber doesn't really allow me to get them close to the lights either. Well I could but that would be some more work and would leave me with less room for the clones. I will be upgrading my closet a bit in a month or 2 (when I've got time and money). I will double the veg room and add new fans and a carbon filter. Everything will be taken care off then.
Headspace is not my biggest problem as the flowering room is 210cms high. I let my clones go to about 80cms in the veg room. Then I flower em in some kind of perpetual sog. Stadium style. Generally I experience very little stretching in my growroom. Haven't had any issues with it really.

And I also have some bad news. Just spotted some mites in the closet. :badday: It's nothing bad yet but I've put the infected plants outside to let them finish overthere. Tomorrow I will get something to try I kill the rest in closet. Any suggestions? first time I'm encountering mites.
Nights are getting colder. Those critters are searching for a new home. But they're not welcome here!

And btw I really like being here

at sativa
mmmh thats ok i know that...maybe you should hang some extra hooks in the seiling so you can switch lamps ....should be easy enough...just a thought...Nway good luck with the upgrade if you start it ^^
but more important are the mites bro...they are killer for your crop.....you should take immediat action to eradicate them....Neem and pyrethrums mostly won't get'm all...so they will be hard to kill without some sort of chemical....ohw do use the neem and pyrethrums if you have it....it will slow'm down very much....you better take precautions my friend

heya sqwirl
thank you man! i realy appreciate the kind words....so i took e few more pics of the PB for ya ...i'll drop 'm in my update ......thanks again for the visit sqwirl !

Damn Core, that Purple Bastard has me :jerkit: :jerkit: :jerkit:

I am not sure what it is about her. She just turns me on.

Is she your creation? Forgive me for not reading back. I suck at reading :puppydoge

That Amnesia Haze is looking real toasty too. :yoinks: I got some beans from Soma a while back, might just be time to throw them down.

small update on whats going on at my end
i'm in the 9th week of flowering....and they go about 11 weeks...the
seeds should be ready by then....atleast i tryed to count it that way...
just given them a full dose of canna flores and PK 13/14 ...coz this seems to work just as good as other (high priced) bloom nutes..after this they will get the same mix of nutes for the last time ...and then i'll be pooring plain water in to clear things right out :)

wow growth on the newlings is visible between your pics

MMMMMMMM core seeds.

I am thinking the pc is much better suited for indoor applications, or at least greenhouses. I did lose a small amount of her to the dreaded mold, but overall looks great, just not started to pack it on yet. Buds are very big, just airier than the indoor plant I grew. I may bring her inside later the fall, it was 10 c last night here. I am hoping for some color

i think you might be right..the PC plant is best suited for indoors....sorry to hear about your mold adventure....i read about it in ya thread...maybe it is't a bad idea to bring her in for a while...surtenly if its gonne get wet at your end..
