Sorry KarahmaGirl, I was refering to Quebec Canada's second largest providence. With the French Thing.
I should not have disrespected and generalized about the people of Canada, tried to save myself later in the post by saying Im sure Canada is great. And I really know its great I go fishing there every year.
Its good you defend your country, now back to all americans being dumb rednecks..

Dont come to America if you plan on it benefiting you "financially". The United States is broke and in serious debt, unemployment is higher than 25% across the entire US..

Most of America is conservative/republican, so expect most of America to treat you bad if you are not "American" unless you live in a big city like New York or Los Angeles..

I'd say if you "still" want to live here, move to California, they are the most open minded, and have the most lax marijuana laws statewide. Good luck!

What??????????????
Since when did unemployment jump to 25%
Oh, that's right, it didn't.
"most of America is conservative"??????
What???????
Our president is a socialist.
Get a clue.

Unemployment is under 10 percent right now. The president is not a "socialist;" he's not even a liberal. The country leans center-right en masse'. Water is wet, sky is blue, class dismissed.

Anyway, bout where I should move to, ha...

Oregon.

Cannabis was just re-scheduled from 1 to 2. (This means that it is recognized as 'some medicinal value') First and only state to do this so far.

A long standing NORML program (1977), with a ton of support and qualified Lawyers if u need them.

While the jobs are scarce, the cost of living is a pittance compared to ANYWHERE else.

The amount of real food (farm raised, and available in your area) is amazing!

NO Sales Tax! The alchohol and cigs (If that's your thing) are crazy expensive however.

We have every Geographic nook and cranny you could ever want. Oregon is the most amazing 2 or 3 day camping road trip state in the Union. The Rivers, underground lava caves, Endless lakes (specialty lakes as well, like crater Lake or clear lake), the west coast beaches, Cascade mountain range, I could go on forever...)

A ton of current investment into green power options, Wind turbine fields in Eastern Oregon, Massive Solar panel fields as well.

No annoying sports teams for pointless fanaticism. Get your sports off the tube, and leave it at that.

Good Dispenso's where the cannabis is FREE for card holders. ($25 yearly fee, $5 a visit, stay as long as you want)

Great Indoor AND Outdoor selections.

GL luck choosing. I've lived in Flagstaff AZ. , Austin TX., Mendo & Humbl., Boston, VT., North Caro., Berkshires MA., Pocono/Blakesly PA., Fla.

Choose wisely.

Peace

midget, yeah, I think of him more as a centrist. No worries bro.
horsemouth: Thanks man! Appreciate your insight? Where, exactly, do you like in Oregon along the coast? What type of coastal oregon spot would have the highest percentage of entry level jobs?

I'd love to shred. But with no great resume short a college degree, a car with 170K miles and 10 grand in my pocket, I don't know man. Scary shit. I know a man needs to take chances in life, but fuck.

if you're going to take the chance on making a living from growing(at least partly), the higher grow risk areas are the ones that have the opportunity
florida certainly meets this requirement, rents are low now, but growing is a risky operation indeed

My favorite state (if we put aside illegality of cannabis) is North Carolina. Cheap cost of living, humidity isn't THAT bad, and fun, fun oceans.

I agree with you brother.Lived on the coast for 10 years a while back.Great state. But the humidity really sucks in the summer. You might do well in Charlotte.just my .02
Good Luck

Sometimes I think this weed growing this isn't for me, that I shouldn't risk a felony, and I should go to get a straight job. Then I think "who are you kidding, you'd commit suicide within a month at a real job." I'm an academic superstar but have zero desire to go to grad school and become a professor. The only thing I've ever felt real joy from is the harvest of my plants. Yet, if that plan were to go sour, that's it's. Game over. You've got a felony. Right when you get out of prison you have to grow again, because no one else will hire you.

Life is hard as fuck.

That's why working towards legalization is very important. It does not matter how many small step we take as long as we are moving in the right direction.
