yea i had to net some males ive had in the past due to them robbing all the pollen ,
they really seem to like it , i never saw any european bees near my males though , just bunches of those little black bees ..

we have heaps of wild bees here , some quiet unique ones also so i recall ...

I haven’t gone to the spot for about 10 days it’s been hot and hasn’t rained at all but the plants seem pretty fine.

yes the days are getting long enough now for that to begin ,
if they got any rain now they would all run like a lettuce going to seed ,
i used to hit them hard with hi K and P starting about mid September or so depending on where the flowering was at during that stage ,
it helped stave off the reveging to an extent ...

I'm a few degrees south from you. Curious to see how late into spring you can flower before reveg kicks in.

@Donald Mallard been liquid feeding them just with p&k no nitrogen. Hopefully no storms!

@Ras Kali Rasta With some genetics you could flower all summer we only get up to 13 hours the more equatorial leaning ones need less light though

Been busy so didn’t go out to spot for 2 weeks and even though it has been hot with no rain they seemed happy enough.

Collected about 400 seeds from some lower branches but I must have about x5 or more still to process
