How can you judge the value of that machine by looking at it for all you know every single part of the twister could be top of the line like for instance notice the frame is silver well it could be made from light weight high tensile strength chrom alloy that wont bend or rust ,then as far as the motor and all of the other parts go the manufacturer could have used the best motor and blades available but what it all should come down to is in this thread we have an owner of 2 who put out 28k and feels he got the better part of the deal I imagine that by the time they both have died and are beyond repair the owner will have gotten his money back in the savings of time and effort not to mention how much it saves the people who hire people to trim there buds .The trims are all super nice, and I've watched videos of it in action and can tell it works wonderfully, but but $14,000 dollars and up for this?!
I understand the people that would need something like this usually have that kind of money, but seriously?
How much does it cost to source or manufacture those wheels? The motor? The frame? The cutting wheel/tube? I don't think it'd come anywhere near what they're asking, even including a 100% markup.
I was expecting the thing to be 5-7 grand at most.
Not to come into your thread complaining, and I know they're your friends and all, but I could buy a brand new car for 14,000 dollars
Johnny, The machine is very gentle on the buds. We have looked at the buds with a magnifying loop before and after running them through the machine and there is very little to no damage. Because the bud is wet the resin sticks to the buds. When people hand trim dry buds a lot more of the dry resin falls off or ends up on the hands of the trimmers. I would put my buds up against any hand trimmed buds to see if the resins are damaged. There is no way I would use this machine if it was damaging my collective brethrens medicine. I am still a snooty pot snob myself and take great pride in what I produce. I do agree that the collectives are full of low grade medicine grown, trimmed, dried, and cured poorly. I wouldn't even doubt it if some of it is kiefed. But mine is A grade.
I am looking into the twister, I was told the Trimmer is 110v and the vac is 220v,
When your running outdoor do you need the vac hooked up?
What is the draw on both, If i get a generator what is the min, required, is the vac a 220 twist plug or like the house ac unit,
Went by home d and they have a 6500 ridged good priced,
1/4 the price of the honda and has a 5 year warranty.
thankss in advance
