Quick few pictures from last night, my camera died so nothin tonight.

starting to put on some frost

My first impressions of AN jungle juice nutes so far is that they are tricky to get to know at first but show promise for next round. Very easy to burn your girls if you mix too much. Anyone planning to run these i would definitely recommend a quality PPM pen.

The measurements they give you on the side are weird (mL per 100L!?) and usually come out too hot. I still use the directions provided, but always dilute with lots of water. So say you need 15 gallons to feed, i'd figure out how much you need for 12-13 gallons (less if your using other additives)

Girls got hit tonight with the JJ G-M-B as well as big bud and ancient earth at 1000ppms and are drinkin ~45 gallons a week

Thanks Marlo! Im pretty happy considering this is only my 2nd indoor grow ever. Can't wait for winter!

Hey Jointoperation, im currently running just Blackberry. Blackberry kush is fantastic although the high just doesn't quite do it for me. That being said, these flowers come out frosty as hell from my buddy i got it from. I prefer the bubble from it though as the calyx/leaf ratio leaves something to be desired. I'm currently looking for a good male candidate to improve smell/taste and calyx/leaves... more on that soon. But its a great frosty specimen, grab it!

Thanks St. phatty, haha I guess you could call it old school? The bulbs are actually horizontal on the parabolic reflectors. I've seen it yield quite a bit more than a room full of say 8" melonhead cool tubes. Maybe its just those specific hoods but the spread from these sun systems is off the hook if you can deal with the heat. Any tips/constructive criticism is more than welcome, fire away!

Thanks D.B.!

Glue joins the party

Glue joins the party

So just to make things a little more interesting...

I stopped by the veg spot today to hear that my 3 landrace afghan mothers died :( My friend of mine brought these beans back from northern afghanistan. I only have 2 more of these seeds and they are staying in the fridge until further notice. And i never even got to smoke her..

On a much better note, the glues are taking off! Here's the mother i've selected based on structure, smells already coming off her, and vigor (obviously)

picture.php

Veg spot was a bit dirty as he was in the middle of transplanting everything. Above mother was getting put into 5 gallon bag to get real big for some super healthy clones. In the back of that photo you'll also see 1 of 2 Baylien moms with the big leaves, really reminds me of some animal cookie leaf structure, and considering its a parent, i'd say she's leaning towards it.

Out of the 4 sour boggles I popped i ended up with what looks like 3/4 males so far. 1 Definite female is already showing some pistils on her internodes. Oh well, at least I have like half the pack left after I gave a few to a friend, maybe he got luckier than me. Anybody think Sour boggle X Blackberry would be a favorable cross? Bog?

Aaaaaaaaaannnnd....

picture.php

I couldn't help myself after hearing all about this being glued nonsense... hehe... Had to see if I could get stuck myself. She's gonna be a tester to see, well, what happens. Im thinking i might tomato cage it up tomorrow

Oops

Well.... after some time in the garden with my partner last night.... looks like we made an 'uh-oh' and this half room is actually filled with tahoe og. not the worst mistake!

There is 1 blackberry in there that is finishing much faster, looks like im gonna have to set up a tent for drying. The rest look like they might go at least 65 days, as they are still throwing white pistils out, but are very 'fluffy-dense' if that makes sense?

update tonight with pictures

Sorry about laggin on the pictures, i'm somewhat of an insomniac so i'll take sleep whenever I can get it.

Maybe you guys have this same problem getting tired and then remembering something you need to do and catching a second wind?

Anyways, things are goin great here, the lil hiccup in finding out 12/13 of these ladies are Tahoe OG and 1 is Blackberry :moon:

Heres some day 36 nug shots, pardon the terrible pics im still messing around with things trying to get a good picture with the dual spectrum. Maybe I just need to get in there right when the lights pop on and pull the plant out from under the light.... huh...

First up is the Tahoe OG, All these girls are super hairy and just starting to fill out nicely. Beginning to trich up as well as you can see.

And here's the lone blackberry in the room, as you can see the structure is somewhat similar, even fooled my partner in veg and early flower, whose been running blackberry for 7 years. He thought we had a heat problem! Blackberry trichs up early though, and the smell is noticeably different, so those were the major tip offs.

More pictures tonight as I play with lighting to get y'all some good nugporn.

I just wanted to stop in and say hi! I'm new to the mag and I'm on my 2nd grow as well. I'm also super interested in BOG strains.

May I ask what kind of medium you are growing in? I can't recall it being mentioned. All I know is you are using AN 3 part. I'm using GH 3 part and I don't quite know how to "dial in" my feeding. I'm hoping I can learn a trick or 2 from you.

I also wanted to say that to a guy like me, sour boggle x blackberry sounds delicious. But I'm still quite.... green. Cheers! :smokeit:

Tell me about it Croptober.... I hate it.

Hey Indogorilla thanks for stoppin in, sorry about that i realized your right, I haven't mentioned my medium.

Its a mix of 50/50 Ocean forest and Happy frog with extra Myco and lots of perlite added. Not really sure on how much I put in I just kept adding and mixing till I liked the consistency (by hand... literally)

Also I can't say much about BOG strains other than the samples I tried at the cup were fantastic. This is my first try at sour boggle and with 3/4 males so far i'm not gonna get to try too many variations until i pop the rest of this pack.

I can't say for sure any of my advice will help as I've never ran the GH myself and this is my first time using Jungle Juice or AN for that matter. Also I'm far from dialed in, definitely still learning how to use this stuff, only time will tell. We'll see how my first harvest goes. Follow along, learn with me!

Blackberry just got water and hi brix molasses for the start of the flush, we'll be taking her at 55 days and she'll be hung to dry in a tent.

More pics tomorrow

I'm back!

I'm back!

So after a hot ass summer with heat issues up the wazzoo, and a little russet mite scare...

Here were my cleaning procedures:

1. Clear out entire room
2. Spray and wipe/mop entire room from ceiling down with 5% bleach solution (air out for 24 hours)
3. Seal up every crack in room with clear caulk. Then seal up every vent and cracks in room. Open 2 HSNPS in room, seal door. wait 2 days.
4. Clean entire house while waiting.... vigilantly.
5. Spray with spinosad around entire house, immediately wash clothes upon entering house.
6. Vent all air directly outside, seal up HSNPS in airtight containers for future use.
7. Repeat step 2
8. Repeat step 2 with all equipment
9. Repeat step 2 once more just for the hell of it.

Bought me a 10" hepa filter for my intake to keep the nastys out and here we are...

Started a long post last night but exited out of the window by mistake, so here's what I remember. Well, looks like i've been laid off till work picks back up, only one thing to do now.....

I'm going to try to be more organized with my posts so here's a rundown of my room:

Panda wall put up a few days ago making room 10'x 12.5"x 10' that leaves me with a nice big work space.

Lights/Electrical

- 5 Parabolic "umbrella" reflectors
- 5 1000w magnetic ballast
- 5 Hortilux 1k bulbs
- 2 MH 1k bulbs (Veg)
- Plug and Play 8 outlet flipbox
(All lights are on dedicated 50amp line)

Climate Control

- 3 Wall mount fans 3-speed
- 8" Inline fan 720 cfm (Intake)
- 10" Q-max fan 3-stage (exhaust)
- Can 150 (hooked up to exhaust)

Medium

- 65% FFOF / ~35% Perlite
- Myco (looking for a good suggestion?)
- 2 gallon smart pots (veg)
- 7 gallon smart pots (flower)

Nutrients/Additives/Extras

- AN 3-part Jungle juice base
- GH Rapidstart
- AN Ancient earth
- AN Piranha
- AN Big Bud
- EJ hi-brix molasses
(Extras not used unless noted)
- AN Overdrive
- AN Bud Candy

Well thats about it. Today I'm working on getting my intake and exhaust vents set up, mainly intake. Central air intake vent for house is in same room as workspace, with no need to punch holes in any walls, so that was a no brainer

Right now intake goes like this: Outside>10" intake vent>10" to 8" converter>Bug screen> 8" inline fan >8"ducting to room. Now that sounds good to me, let me know if I'm wrong.

Now if you look at the picture above this post, the intake will enter the room all the way on the left about level with the first hood. I think a wye should do the trick in spreading the fresh air a bit better than just an open duct.

That should pretty much do it for the room. Only other thing I can think of is that I need something to get the pots a little elevated off the floor.

If anyone made it this far and has any ideas on where I screwed up or could improve, PLEASE share!

Pics in the next few days

why the huge jump from 2 gallon to 7 gallon and how? Just curious cause the roots will need time to grow so I guess you are doing perpetual and got that factor covered.

Great White for Myco Dank, But there are lots of other good brands emerging now. I would say go for any of them, that aren't super cheap :D

pirahna is actually cheaper on amazon in powder form than Great white by a few bucks.

I recommend the Great White, but there are many choices :)

If you have any trade shows or gardening expos around you, go to those! you'll get enough bennies to do a full run or more!

Nice room, set up , very clean, and it seems like you had bugs or something cause that repeat on step too sounds gruesome man but hard work pays off!

Hey LyryC, I just watched a buddy of mine switch from 1gal-5gal to 2gal-7gal in soil and hit 2 lbs per light compared to his usual ~1.5. His plants were much healthier and significantly heavier. Also I plan on vegging till they are pretty big, I have 10 ft ceilings in there, so things are gonna get all jungle-like. :plant grow: Hit me with suggestions? I have 1s and 5s left over still...

I'll be starting up perpetual probably mid-run if all things are healthy and no problems, I don't have the space right now either. I really wanna grab another pack or two of beans and start pheno hunting, but for now i jus need to find a keeper mother or two and rock this room

Thanks for the heads up, Great white it is. And I'll look into the expos and such, I much prefer studying from my computer vs. listening to reps ramble off all kinds of shit I don't understand.

As far as the bugs go, I don't like to talk about it but the GG#4 s1 i had brought into my room i spotted a few Hemp russet mites on a lower top. It was barely showing any signs of damage, but they were there... Enough for me to nuke the room after hearing the horror stories of Russets and broad mites. Everything was thrown out except for blackberry which didn't get infected? Smokes decent after month cure, stoney.

After I lost my whole newly aquired/started mother/father stable to them, I flipped out. 3 GG#4 S1s, 4 Sour Boggles, 2 Baylien S1s, and 2 mothers and 1 very strong male of landrace afghan. These were seeds that my buddy actually brought back from northern afghan himself and I started, brought them over to veg spot.

But i digress, no pics so it didn't happen. I have beans of everything I lost, but only 2 beans of the afghan in the fridge till further notice... maybe one day.

Like I said I got laid off recently, so I didn't have anything better to do but clean haha. After seeing all my hard work go to shit because my partner got lazy, and basically refused to clean the veg spot, I decided no more seed starts until I go perpetual myself. No more visits here or there till his room is done, nuked and all that. He's been doing this much longer than I have, so I guess it can happen to anyone.

Almost suited up and sprayed eagle 20, physan 20, muriatic acid for the floor, and then that whole shenanigans but I wasn't quite up to going all walter white in my house. Probably for the better.

Thanks for the kind words and sorry for the paragraphs. Let me know if I didn't answer your questions, sour always gets the best of me :kos:
