Hi All!! Flashback to the mid 80's there was a seed bank called
SSSC they had a strain called: Heavenly High.... the spin at the time was "Heavenly High a Texas Legend" M-40 in their catalog So, the question is does anyone know of this strain down there in Texas???
Please help!! All info of this strain would be helpful..;-)
Oh yeah, I remember the SSSC! Wow. Imagine it's been 25 years or so, since I got that beautiful catalog. I had just gotten out of the military, and that was the first bit of counter culture i'd had since 79 or so. "Durban Thai High Flyer" my favorite. That and "Hash Plant" I still remember the discription: "even experienced smokers have trouble finishing a joint." Made me mouth water...
Hill country hell yeah!! Anyone out there ever go to the "Salt Lick Barbeque?" If so, suck down some sweet tea, jalepenos, and pulled pork for pore ol' Bear, stuck in land of berries and nuts (all kinds.)
Usta live South Austin, border of Manchaca and Austin. Skorpions in the tub, red wasps in the garage rafters, rattlesnakes in cattle ranch behind housing degelopment. Pupper brought home couple or 3 them sumbiitches. Nuff bout the old days.
Who's got the skinny on med mj progress in Austin and if looks like us exiles can ever get down to South Padre again? Eat oysters and Dos Equis. Or mebbe Pacifico...
Peace Y'all, & remember the old saying:
"It ain't braggin, if you can do it."
Someone in NorTx has 10 og kush s1's in veg, cuttings to be taken soon.... If your getting fresh OG or Pre 98 Bubba in NorTx Ill tell my buddy you said thanks, haha. Lets hope he finds and even better version of OG than FM or Fire even.
There's no med mj progress that I know of in Austin. Probably the same with other problems in Austin, stay out of Williamson County. They seem to like sticking it to people hard for anything and everything they can. In Travis where Austin downtown is, there is Marley Fest and Eeyore's birthday party where lots of people are openly smoking. I got lots of friends that smoke but haven't heard of any stories of any of them getting busted yet.
@irieeyes - it says you can't recieve private messages
Not in the Lonestar state at this time, but I call the Big Thicket home. It is good to see a few neighbors here. Look forward to getting to know some of you.
All you Texans follow the link and send a letter to your local Representative regarding these two bills. All you have to do is go to the site and click the green links at the top of the page to send a pretyped letter to your local representative. Let em know how we feel about MJ laws in Texas. I've done my part and you should do your part....
I even called my local Reps and asked them how they plan to vote on these two bills so I would know how I was gonna vote in the next election. If every MJ user in Texas did the same we wouldn't be treated like crimminals....so do your part. If you're not registered to vote get registered! Here's the details on the two bills you need to support....
The legislative session has started here in Texas and we’ve got until June 1st to get one of these Bills supported and brought to a vote, where we will be able to decide our policies through the ballot box if we can let our Representatives know that it’s what we truly want. Information on HB 548, a bill that has been re-introduced in the Texas House of Representatives, as well as information on the Hekkela and Timmons Acts is available in the next few sections. We need to keep pressing forward and let our Government know that we’re not all just “Burn outs”, but that we’re burning up at the prospect of more of our citizens being imprisoned for choosing to medicate, create and unwind with a peaceful plant.
– HB 548, An act relating to the penalties for possession of two ounces or less of“marihuana”
– HB 548 is a bill that has been introduced before and pertains to lowering the penalties of possession here in Texas. While we want full legalization eventually, we know that in Texas, it’s going to take a lot of smaller bills favoring reform getting passed first. This bill, while not perfect, lowers possession of under an ounce from a class B misdemeanor to a class C, meaning only a fine and no jail time and could keep many of your friends and family members from losing their jobs/tuition for choosing to be safer. For more information on HB 548 and a email you can send to your representatives here in Texas, click here. The full bill can be viewed here at capitol.state.tx.us.
– The Tim Timmons Compassionate Care Act – a more traditional Medicinal Marijuana bill that would allow Doctor’s to prescribe Marijuana to their patients and would allow for licensed dispensaries in the state. More information on it can be found here at MedCanUniversity.com. This is a bill that would protect patients/caregivers from being arrested at the state level and having a black mark put on their records, as well as open up legitimate dispensaries where they can freely get their medication without worry.
Done! I appreciate the heads up. Took me a moment to convince myself it was okay to include my personal info, but it wont get done if we don't make our stand and take the necessary actions.
Hey guys, I can't believe I never saw this thread; I'm about 30 min. east of Big D right down Hiway 80. I also found this on norml its a pre written letter. just fill in your name and zip code and it automatically sends it to your local Representative. I encourage all Texans to email your Representative before march 1st
The first rule of thumb to learn in Texas (as well as EVERYWHERE ELSE) is to throw ALL roaches away. That 50 cents worth of enjoyment can cost you life in prison! Do not haul pot in the car and if you do, either a couple of joints or only a small amount and a glass pipe. First thing to do - if you get pulled over - is roll down the windows and throw that pipe out , tear open the bag and throw the weed out - in the grass if possible. Then keep rolling about 100 yards on the side of the road with all of the windows down! They will not go back a 100 yards to look for some herb thrown out in the grass. With any luck, the glass breaks and the paraphernalia charges do not happen! If you have to roll with pot in the car, go from point A to point B with no side trips except emergencies - like about to run out of gas because you didn't follow the keep it full rule before you got in the car dirty! No cigs or sodas - period. Wait until you are clean first! Any less is just unprofessional and the sign of youth! Ever read the news? Guess who is in it most of the time! 20 year olds out past midnight. They pull out of a club with no lights on, the cops pull them over for the lights, smell weed cause they just lit one as soon as they hit the car, and another statistic with an empty wallet! Use eye douche and mouthwash before you go into any business! Go home before midnight unless sober, clean, and no warrants for everyone in the car! It is best to not conduct business past 10:00 P.M. just to keep the neighbors in check. Don't shit in your own backyard! No weed growing in the garden - the meter people get a bonus to turn you in - no weed showing in the windows or on the patio! There is a period of time that can be created when you are getting pulled over in the car - even at night! Get the passangers window all the way down, work so the cops cannot see you moving around, get the shit ready to drop and tell the driver NOW! He can then jerk the car over onto the broke down lane while the passenger drops the shit right out on the grass below his window . the cops cannot see this action since you created a blind spot with the body of car in the way. After the passenger loudly says done or something like that, the driver rolls a loooong ways past the dropped stash. Punch your trip meter to zero if you intend to come back and get it later. Parties stop at 11:15 so everyone can get off the street by 11:30 p.m. Otherwise, party out in the sticks and no one leaves until 4:00 a.m. Make a meeting place in a safe to park overnight parking lot. No one knows where the party is. They all get in one car and the driver takes them to the hidden party location. Outdoor parties have a way of getting busted frequently in Texas because of pissed off snitches who didn't get invited. These kids here keep the heat off the older crowd if the older crowd keeps their smoking and drinking at home. The cops do not care whom they bust as long as they meet their quotas.
