Excellent Butcher45 :) Please, keep us updated with your progresses.
Have a great season!

PCKxKaliChina #3 clone freshly transplanted into a 25 gallon pot. Now it just needs some burlap or something hanging over that black pot to avoid excessive heat.

I gave a few cuts of PCKxKaliChina #3 to a different friend back in May. He immediately put them into the ground, and made use of supplemental lighting to keep them from flowering. Almost 8 feet tall now.

Pretty excited to see these develop into their full potential.......he feeds the soil all year long, then pretty-much let's nature take it's course for the grow season.

Lovely Butcher45 :)

Glad to see your selected PCK x Kali China still remains in your line up every season, much appreciated! :) And thanks for spreading the love in clone form between your friends

Your friend's PCK x Kali Chinas are growing very well, really vigorous, showing the taller and lankier structure of the more sativa Kali China F3 parental plant.

Guess they have started the flowering at this stage of summer, please keep us updated when you have the chance. All the best!

Things are progressing nicely in Benton County, OR (around 44N).......flowering has been underway for a bit now. First couple pictures are of the first friends plant that I mentioned, followed by the large plants my other friend is growing. I learned that several branches were removed from the large plants awhile back.

I asked my friend about the leaning plant. His reply:

"That’s the one that snapped completely in half when it was about 2 feet tall. The outer skin was the only piece holding together so I positioned it upright and supported it with an arrow. It didn’t even wilt lol".

Time for another update.......

Time for another update.......

We've been having exceptional weather in my area this year. I've been keeping a small cut in a 3 gallon pot outside, that got kicked-out of my micro set-up in the spring......she looks like she is due about Halloween by my guess. Trichs are getting milky. Rain due on Tuesday......see if we can ride it out, and move the pot to a drier area.

One friend I gave a cut to along with an old mother I had that went in and out of pre-flower in the spring, had some issues with the soil he used to put his good clone in, along with some neglect from a caretaker while he went on vacation for two weeks. The old mother I gave him in the 3 gallon pot is doing better than the clone I gave him in a much larger pot.

As far as mold/mildew issues, we've only experienced just a few spots of powder mold thus far (easily treated rubbing some mouthwash on it with my finger)......the weather has been quite cooperative.

Getting closer......

Getting closer......

Kind of in a dilemma again this year.......the weather is cloudy/rainy/foggy over the foreseeable future, and the full moon is tomorrow night. The distinctive foxtailing trait on the tips of the mature buds I saw in last years' light dep, is just starting to show itself.

So the question is.....should I hold out another week in this bad weather, or harvest on the full moon tomorrow night? Trichs are all milky, still a bunch of fresh pistils (there were some when I harvested last year, but not this many).

I decided to let her ride out in the open, and put her to the test as far as resistance to bud-rot is concerned. It's important to know for future seasons. So far just a touch of powder mold here and there on a few leaves (easily treated). The flowers have swelled-up noticeably over the past several days.

I discovered that two of the three friends I gave clones to decided to ignore my warning, and put their clones outside way to early in the spring without light supplementation. These being the largest plants (the ones straight in the ground in beds), and the ones in the plastic buckets. Disappointing.

The bud structure/development of the plants that were put out to early, compared to the ones that were not, demonstrates exactly why it is that you DON'T put clones outside before the second week of June. It makes for numerous, airy, small, leafy, loosely-developed flowers. The resin development in these plants, is a good bit behind that of my own plant, whose trichs all look milky.

The grower of the largest plants.....let's just say he made a few errors with his plants despite my repeated advice. You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink it. He lost patience, and cut most of it down the first week of October when most all of the trichs were still clear, and the buds had just started to look like actual buds. What a waste, as this plant is clearly a "second-half player" when it comes to flowering.

Hoping to have more pictures of the two healthier plants in the 25 gallon pots to share soon.

Might take this to the end of the first week of November if she'll get there......not sure how much light she'll be getting by then in this spot.
Still swelling-up, still developing the foxtail trait on the tips of the colas that I saw last year towards the end.

I thought this was included in the last post.....the two not-so-healthy smaller plants in another location were harvested on Mon, and the two healthy plants in the 25gallon containers was harvested on Wed.

Her time is here.......

Her time is here.......

Looked her over this morning of Nov 2nd, and saw just a couple of small spots of bud-rot starting to form. The plant was in the shade from about 2pm on during the day, and it looks like it is in the harvest window to me, so she got the chop tonight.

She's pretty close to last years light dep in the frost department........trichs fully milky, with a hint of amber juuuuust starting to form.

Can't wait to see how the cooler weather of this years harvest affects the terpenes. I'll post more when she's dried/cured.

Thanks again, ACE Seeds!
