fuk. id really liek to get to the cup. if it wasnt for fact i just spent all my airmiles getting to the dam for HTCC in nov07, id be vaccumsealing bags and would be on my way...i rather atened IC cup caus most people I meet @ HTCC dont grow and usually smoek shit weed...i want to actually JUDGE and ENTER some west coast hybrids and be around peeps taht know their shit.

I really don't want to come off harsh...but there IS a saying that is so appropriate in this instance...'put up or shut up' comes to mind... j/k .... don't take it wrong, take it....in a tongue 'n cheek kind of way. LOL Sorta reminds me of guys bragging about their hot rods...mine is fastest...no, mine has 458 bhp....no mine goes 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds....but only 1 of them actually demonstrates what his car can do, the others leave theirs in the garage but still want to brag about how it's the best....when all he had to do was bring it out of the garage and show it doing what he said it could do.

Anyway, think you catch my drift.

Great post. I've never had much money, always been poor so never had a nice car or a large grow, so I've learnt how to squeeze the most out of whatever I got. Reminds me of a time a few years ago where I set off with some friends to a party 90 miles away, I had an old Saab 9000 at the time, some other people set off in an Escorth Cosworth 10 minutes before us and got there 45 mins AFTER us, he might have had more than twice the horsepower, but I know how to drive properly! lol

Same thing with my weed, I'm not entering because I think I might win, but because I think I've got something unusual and I enjoy it a lot, maybe someone who grows in a wardrobe with a 250 shouldn't even try to compete with the big boys, maybe I'm foolish, who knows, but to me, it's worth entering just to say I had the balls to put my smoke up against guys like Rez and Soma. I'm entering a sativa so I guess I'll be competing against Arjan. I remember Franco posted they had 400 lights in their facility and that breeding was all about how many lights you had. I have been rather critical of Arjan over the years, but at least the guy has balls and puts his weed up for judgement, so perhaps it is only right for someone who has been critical to put up his wares too.

Just thought I better point out my entry was grown in a small wardrobe under a 250w HPS well before the actual Cup so if I mention it later, folks don't think I'm making excuses! lol My main reason for coming to the Cup is to meet up with people from the forum and have a good time, I just figure having an entry just adds to the fun. If the first person I see smoking my entry pulls a funny face and exclaims 'this if fucking schwag man!' I will just laugh my socks off, cos I'll be high as a kite and having a great time. BTW I saw someone do exactly that after trying some Arjans Mega-fucking-uber-super-hyper-Ultra Haze #69 a couple of years ago at the HTCC.

I only chopped the plant today, so it's not gonna have even half the cure I would normally give it before smoking it, but it's the best I can manage for this year. I'm already rooting clones of two other varieties I want to enter next year, figure I'll start em now so I can give em a full 6 month cure!

I will not enter this year(not interested in the indica cup)but will surely enter my Neville;s Haze next year now that I have my cutting back...
I will have some to smoke with ya though...100 days flower at chop and it will need a little longer but it will still be killer as I have harvested some in the past with this much flowering period..It's definitely my fave herb and will be growing lots over the coming year....Maybe even enter a chuck of dry sift next year...(Neville's)

Wanted to say thanks again for putting this together for all of us on such short notice...I can't imagine the load off Gypsy's back sending that rat packing and this will be perfect remedy for everyone involved...What better than to surround yourself with friends and smoke out for 2 days straight...That can fix the most crucified soul!!!Should be a wonderful vibe surrounding the whole event with all of the bad vibes just a part of history...

Come on folks and book those flights for the party of 08'...........

I think the last-minute, ad-hoc nature of this year's Cup makes it all the more appealing, it's the anti-thesis of the HTCC (which I hate, having been to several).

This Cup is gonna be more a gathering of cool cats who have all brought their stashes with them and all want to just have a good time and smokeout everyone else than a commercial thang.

POM, wherever you are, I hope on April 20th you are miserable as fuck. on your own and have only soapbar to smoke, remember we all be thinking of you as we enjoy sampling the finest smokes from all over the world and thinking 'thank god that snivelling rat POM isn't here!' Karma can be a bitch and when you have soooo much bad karma headined your way you need to realise just what a tosser you must have been.

I'm going to tell ya what my friend...I do not care if you grow under 2 -100Watt HPS's!!!You have posted some of the most awesomely beautiful plants on this site!!!And I would imagine the smoke is as good as it looks....I can judge herb very well by looks and then I go to odor and flavor...You stuff looks like it was grown under Boomers(1000 watters)and you damn sure have nothing to be ashamed of!!!I will be honored to try what you bring...As well as what ever else i get to try from friends...I would rather smoke a unique sativa of mid potency than the same ol' indica that will rip you with a few bong hits..I smoke for the pleasure of the whole experience not just the bottom line potency...Of course herb has to get you high but I do not mind having to take a couple of extra hits of a killer flavored sativa ....(wink)!

Thats why I am such a DJShort fan...You have to dig for special plants but the odor/flavor are so good who cares if I take 5 instead of 3 hits....I love flavorful herbs!!

I would be willing to bet your herb is better than you think it is.......

Aw shucks, Capt. You got me blushing now!

There is a secret to growing I think - leave the plants alone to do their thing for a long as they need to be ripe, just concentrate on keeping them happy. I think too many people take what I call the 'Foi gras duck' approach - with a duck they want to make pate out of, they stick a funnel down it's throat and force feed it till it dies. Ganja grown like that may stink to high hell and have a great yield, but the best weeds I've ever smoked were all grown outdoors in the ground under the sun. Like you say, hydro indicas are all fine and well, but not everyone thinks they are the be-all and end-all of ganja smoking.

Elevator Man has really turned me onto DJ Short's work, he has grown the Flo, Grape Krush, Cocoa Kush and now Vanillaluna and everyone I've tasted has been fantastic, lots of variety and complexity to the tastes and highs, quality wise they are as good as anything I've seen and certainly very different from a lot of buds you see today. The Grape Krush, Cocoa and Flo don't have much to fear in the potency department as far as my experience goes, DJ has never offered a truly indica line but I reckon if he did chose to release a heavy hitting indica it woud be another classic.

I hope you're right on that bet, I think it's fantastic, if even one person agrees with me, I'll be satisfied. If everyone hates it I won't care as I love smoking it.

I'm gonna go trim her now and hang her to dry. I've taken loads of pics but I'm not posting any till after the cup, she's a bit too distinctive looking for her own good in this case and it would kinda give the game away!

As for the 420, well...I'd love to come over there, but I don't think I'm going to be able to scrape the funds together, which is a shame. Unless something dramatic turns up in the next couple of weeks. Wish I could enter some of my Goldfinger two, but there's nothing ready yet, and the whole plant wouldn't produce much more than two, so...

I'm going to start a bunch of sativa stuff when I get back...All the talk of sativa of late has me missing those spicy hits...I have a bunch of stuff to try...
I have the Fed Hawaiian Sativa flowewring or some of them flowering and also sensi Durban and neither show the sativa traits I expected...Leaves are way to fat..I really wish they had turned out more sativalike....Maybe the flowers will show sativa but I'm not holding my breath....I have some Original Haze also but the germ rates were pitiful and I didn't get enough plants to expect much...The biggest has already presexed male and the 3 others have yet to show pre-flowers..Now these look like they are supposed to..Was thinking of hitting the Neville's female and grow some of those out....Will see how they look during flowering and decide if it's worth a look..

I'll bring ya some pure sativa seeds over Capt, I just sent some rare ones to a very highly respected guy (won't say who in case he doesn't want me to, but he does amazing grows outdoors) and he's going to reproduce a load so more folks can try out some pure sats and the variety is preserved. I still have a few goodies left tho so I'll bring ya a bunch of things I think you'll enjoy.

I have finished harvesting the plant I'm entering, really wish I could show the pics as she's a stunner, never seen another plant with such an amazing calyx to leaf ratio, there is no leaf on the buds at all after I trimmed, and it didn't take long to trim at all.

Made a little ball of finger hash from her after trimming and I'll tell you what happened next, that will explain the potency and nature of the high. I put a gram of kif powder in my pollen press and popped it in the oven to warm up for a coupla mins, then I lit a joint I roleld from the finger hash. Got an inch into the joint and decided I needed to pick up my guitar and strum for a while. So I;m sat looking out the window at the stars and plucking away when I smell burning plastic and I remember the hash press, it;s been in the oven half an hour! So I run to the oven, throw the door open and grab the press - with my bare hand! So I yelled, dropepd the press on my bare foot, yelled again and spent 5 mins with my foot and hand under the tap, rubebd some Savlon on and now I have a burn blister on my foot and I won't be playing the guitar for a while cos I have a dark red pollen press shaped burn on the palm of my left hand. Had to use a Monkey wrench and a bench vice to get the press open and retrieve the hash which looks gorgeous, gone a lovely coffee colour. The two plastic plugs were partly melted and the press if ruined. I've smoked the rest of the joint now and I'm very high but goddam does my hand hurt and I'm mightily annoyed I ruined my nice expensive Space Case pollen press.

On a happier note, I'd say the plant is pretty fucking potent! lol I just did a big belly laugh instead of the usual wry smile and its kicked off a fit of giggles so I'm gonna go put some music on and chill for a while...

Dutch Grown i got a question. In the begining of this thread is say's 28 grams for weed entry's and 14 gram for hash entry's. But on the entry form it say's 30 gram for weed entry's and 7,5 grams for hash. I think it is what is on the entry form ?

Just asking as i think it looks stupid when i send 14 grams hash when 7,5 is needed.....

I will bring some seeds to share and a few boxes of rolling papers as i think they will be needed ha ha ha.....

BH the same here i just enter for fun as i doubt my quality of this badge is in that catagorie. You now what they say in dutch Niet geschooten is altijd mis geschooten. Which in english is somthing like: Not shot is alway a mis shot.
