Going to see "Sting" with Mom this afternoon

we have ca ground squirrels
i saw the first one a few years back and think it set up a nest in my neighbors yard
they dont seem to mess with the chickens or mess with my stuff so i just leave them alone
so we are getting close to the nfl draft in a couple weeks
the first few rounds should be interesting to say the least
/how many qb will go in the 1st rnd?

how was the spider flick?
one thing we used to do when we went to the movies was stop off at the .99c store and get snacks there instead of paying the crazy theatre prices
so i get these coupons from cvs called extra bucks, its like store script but you cant use it to buy booze
so i get things like lighters or snakc foods, you know junk
today i had $6 to spend but had other errands to run to, so im just going to grab some candy
they had whoppers! (you know those malted milk balls)
grinding!
and they were on sale, 2 for $3
it just happens that the coupons i needed to redeme (they expired today) were $3 so i thought i would just grab a few boxes of those
when i get to the register the cool guy i notice as they are ringing me up it says buy2 get one free?!?
whaaaat!
the guy was cool and let me run back and get another two boxes
now i have freakin 6 boxes of these things, all for free
later tonight when im high im have some of those

Just watched Fallout on Prime. I love the games but this show sucks. Bad everything and everything looks cheap. Not surprised one bit. Just aweful. God damn music is getting old fast. Dumbass producers think they are clever or something
bought 15 pack and puffed the vape. Got so sick i slept all day. That vape hurt my lungs so bad i couldnt breath. Waste of fucking money. Ended up pan frying the steak. Gonna try to grill the other one and make some burgers too. Havent eaten in a day or 2 except some cake bites. Bought some bacon jerky and im gonna chop it up and mix it with ground beef.Dont know how it will turn out but should make decent burgers

The Blind Pig is a special spot on the planet. The shirt was a gift that came with a swag bag that included a pair of eclipse glasses, the button that I placed over the blacked out sun on my shirt and handy joint stasher with a waterproof screw on cap. Mine is purple and it has a chunk of hash that came as a gift from another friend.
I am feeling much better this morning after the drive home. The road hum has faded from my brain and my feet have quit vibrating from the rumbling pavement. I have to get busy downstairs in the garden today. That will be later.
There was a tremendous amount of rain that came down on Tallytown the day we were driving home. A lot of familiar places around town were flooded that have never flooded before. Some places got over 12" of rain in a few hours time. We 'only' had 4.5" when I checked the gauge.
It was a good trip and we had a great time. We are discovering that travel for us old folks gets harder as we age.

Good 'ol #45, Pedro Martinez. Do you remember his 1999-2000 seasons, DB? Baseball experts rank those 2 years among the greatest seasons for a pitcher ever, especially when u consider it came during the peak of the steroid era. Although to be fair, pitchers were using 'roids too back then, who knows if pedro was using. Most pitchers on roids didnt look overly buff like the hitters did. Roger clemens was on the juice but he was always a big boned Texas kid, he might have got a little more buff but not egregiously so.
I agree with Hawks, spiders give me the heebee-jeebies. Centipedes too. That Sting movie looks like nightmare fuel.
3 QBs will probably go #1-3, as those teams (bears, commanders, patriots) all need QBs. After that who knows? JJ Mccarthy of the wolverines might go top 10, michael penix is probably 1st rd as well. Giants pick #6 and Vikings #11 and both could draft QBs. Giants have daniel jones but he wasnt good last yr before getting hurt and vikings let cousins go in free agency and now have sam darnold (!) as their projected starter.

One time I used like 1/3 ground pork in making burgers and they came out real nice and juicy, like u could cook them through (medium well or even well done) and they'd still be juicy and not tough.

Maybe next time u got road tripping u can drive some sort of camper vehicle so u can take rests more frequently, it's the long drives that seem the hardest part now.

I just chopped the bacon jerky and cheddar up and mixed it with the beef. Pretty simple big ass burgers. Almost a half pound each. Used Montreal steak seasoning for the ribeye. All came out good.I heard of a juicy lucy but not sure what it is.

the place i was at in tx had a roku and it was rad, so when i got home i bought myself one
oh man, for the first couple weeks i would stay up till all hours watching tosh.o and american pickers
there are all kinds of free channels plus some friends hooked me up with their passwords to some of the premium stuff, but i just stick with the live tv mostly
plus i still have the over the air broadcast i get with my tv antenna so im good to go once football season starts again

My TV has Google TV . I cant eve begin to watch all these streaming sites. I usually just watch stuff on youtube like cop cams and stuff. Got my antenna too for football.Tosh.0 is pretty funny. He does some pretty gay stuff though. If i remember right his wife is pretty hot. I dont even use Netflix anymore except for Trailer Park Boys. Might have to watch some pretty soon

Those burgers look perfect, Hawk. Just mixing in chopped up bacon jerky and cheddar cheese into the ground beef and forming patties? Is that 70-30 ground beef? And im guessing u didnt make it more than 10% bacon jerky or 10% cheese? You still need to have the burger hold itself together well and more cheese and bacon would prevent that.
Ive heard of juicy lucy's, theyre more of a minnesota thing but there are places around here that make them too. More of a gimmick i think, ur right just put the cheese on top but i guess it's a way to cook a burger all the way through (no pink) and still be juicy.
I tried mixing chorizo into a burger mix once, didnt work that well since the ground beef was a little spoiled haha, next time ill use fresher ingredients, that extra spice might be nice in a burger.
That butt boy movie looks wild, let us know how it is Hawk. Gotta be some funny moments in it..
Vikings have the #11 and #23 pick in this year's draft, they trade two 2nd rd picks to houston for the #23 pick. I saw a mock draft where they trade #11 and 23 and next year's 1st rd pick to the chargers for #5 so they can draft JJ McCarthy, the michigan QB. That sounds like a horrible move for the vikings so im sure JJ will wind up a franchise QB, lol. But it seems good for the chargers, turning #5 into three 1st rd picks, they already have a QB so just need depth and talent.
The hotel where caesar salad was invented uses a chopped up anchovy in the dressing, and like a raw egg yolk? You ever use anchovies in cooking, Hawk? I guess in small amounts, in sauces and stuff, it adds a lot of savoriness/umami flavor.
