Here is a shot of the 200amp Main breaker box. To the right is a breaker box hooked to a 17,000watt generator that is also hooked to the propane tank. As soon as the electricity goes off this unit will pick up the slack.
IMG_2033.jpg

This was really put added on because of hurricane season and I'm not going to go three weeks without power anymore and good luck getting diesel when the shit hits the fan here. If something like that happens I'll just consider the crop lost. This should come in handy for short/medium power outages. I'm hoping to be able to run 1/2 or 1/3 of the lights until it power is restored. More of like an emergency valve than anything else. It's a big unit, but we will have to see. Notice the AC units marked on the Guardian Box. There are two breakers run up stairs through the box too, so this would have to be a manual switchover for the lights as when these guys get out of here I'm going to drill down through the dummy wall and run a 240v 50amp line and plug a 50amp sub panel w/timers into the main panel. This can be repeated easily. The generator is more of an added potential bonus than anything else.

Fuck a bunch of hurricanes.

Hey Gramps, sorry I'm late :D

That's some set-up you have goin' there :yeahthats Fuckin' Dream House, a truly "Green" house

Question: I know you said the genset was an emergency valve for power failure, what size are you running and will it have an auto transfer switch, or will it need to be hand "fired" ?

The reason I ask is because I too have a genset (diesel ;() hooked up to my house, but it's got to be hand fired and the transfer switches are manual.

I guess I'm just looking for input as to whether or not it's worth the ectra dough....my gen is a 25kw that can run just about the entire house (less that 40a CA bad boy)

Looking fantastic brother :joint:

Big day today guys. I'm moving my plants and setting up a lot of stuff in the room. I figured Thanksgiving would be a good day to do this since everybody around me out of town, eating Turkey, and hanging out. Time to work! I'll have some good updates by the end of the day. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! Stay safe.

Hey Now!

That's some Turkey Day Special right there!

Congrats! :woohoo:

Phew. Stopping to eat some turkey dinner. Been hauling stuff out of storage and upstairs all day long. It's great. I've been wanting to get this done for a while.

Almost my whole street is out of town. The one that isn't stays inside all day and can't see anything from their place anyway. Nice!

iGro4Me: The generator is 16,000 watts plugged into a 250 gallon propane bottle. My dad rewired it so that all of the upstairs, A/C included will auto-fire in the case of power failure. He's good with electricity. If I loose power for a couple weeks due to a hurricane I'll haul my blow up mattress upstairs and sleep. Nothing will change. Nice!

Turkey time. More to come later.

I'm wiped out. Still learning how how "new" body works after the transplant. It's been two years so I'm getting the hang it of it. I think, lol. Anyway, I going to move the plants Sat. I still have a couple things to get out of storage, plus put together, etc. Here are a couple teaser pics. Explanations to come.

CO2 Setup
Plumbed into the back of the vanity of the bathroom. The sensor is a CO2 set point. We set the 250gallon tank yesterday as well, but it's not plumbed yet. Tomorrow probably, maybe today. I noticed with me just working in the room, the CO2 would rise quite quickly. It got up to +1500ppm. I was pretty surprised.

Nutes
I don't use a lot of that stuff on the bottom shelf. Mainly just the Nova and pH. When I flower I'm going to add the GH Sweet Nectar and use the Florolicious. Notice the carbon monoixde detector. I have a good fire extinguisher as well. Safety first.

Some tools and toys I like to use. That joint was smoke promptly after that picture. I threw some porno mags in there too. I have quite a bit more books.

Ok. Well, I have sand in my vag tody. The chronic graph vs host disease from the transplant can manifest itself when I do a real physical activity for a long time. I'll just say it hurts to walk because of my feet. I believe I have a pretty strong pain tolerance. I played contact sports my whole life so that helps push through pain a lot. It's getting a lot better though and I'm about to be completely off all my anti-rejection medication which will mark the end of the ordeal. :joint:

I consider myself a legitimate MMJ user even though my state doesn't. Fuck 'em. I consider this my basic human right. Just learning about growing and the cannabis plant has been great therapy. My passion is pretty evident I guess. I think we can help a lot of people and make the world a little more enjoyable. It certainly has saved my life and done great things for my family dynamic. I think we are really onto something.

Let's get down to business. I've added explanations to the above pictures since last night. These are from yesterday while I was moving in. It's come along nicely since then.

There was a lot of this going on.

Veg Room

This is a 4x4, (2) 2x2, and a 40 gallon rez. All Botnicare. 70 pint humidifier that I haven't unpacked yet, I'm waiting to see if I'll need it.

This a 100gallon rez, 2x4, a Rainforest Unit (might be extra, they are great units though), and my little trolley (comes in handy). The green fan goes into the 6in hole. Return is passive through the dry room for now. See how that works.

Main Flower Room

This is the rest of my GH Power Grower kit (expanded on Waterfarm), the 240v 30 amp line on a timer, 4in. hole is my emergency exhaust plumbed pass the extraction fan on an electrical back draft damper so that when my smoking room exhausts there is no pull from the Flower room. The lines for the lights are run the ballasts will be stud mounted for right now. One Silverstar is hung, but you can't see it. That's A&M giving Texas fits on the boob tube.

Substrate

Drying Room

Cloner, T5's, and heating pads. That my seed starter system right there. I use the Ped Egg too scratch the sees pretty good (its has fine grit sandpaper in it), soak them in water for a few hours, then put them in a tuperware with real moist paper towels, place them in the black deal, and put them on a heating pad with a temp control set for 85. Works great. There is also some reflective mylar and panda if I want to mess with it.

Plumbing for the CO2 behind the vanity. Water comes in on the right and exits to the left. Water pressure is outstanding out here.

This is the exhaust in my smoking room. It's tied to a light switch. I turn on the ozone when I fire it up. Most of ozone is sucked out but what little remains kills the smell after I leave.

About time for me to go wipe the sand out of my vag and get back to work, Thanks for stopping by I appreciate all the good karma. I'm glad we can all learn about this together. We are amazingly fortunate that we can learn about growing on this site. This would have been impossible not too long ago. The knowledge is priceless.

Some shots from today. Still couldn't find my other Silverstar or 6in Carbon Filter in storage. It's there just have to dig some more lol. I'll get it out tomorrow for sure.

Flower

Stay safe. I've seen two teenagers on a golf cart this whole weekend and I've been watching. Worked out well so far. Big day tomorrow.

Thats an attic?

Yep. I put a 8/12 pitched roof on the house to give me the necessary room. After looking at everything, 2k is as much is I'm going to want to put in the main flower. Whenever I convert what is the Smoking Room to flower room (legalization? 6 years??) I'll be able to to fit 10k total for flower. Should make a nice little start up business whenever all this MMJ plays out. 2k for practice until then.

That is so clean, you must be very proud
Thanks bud. I like how it's coming along. I'm going to wait till I have it up and running before I pat myself on the back. Moving the girls tonight. Got some kitchen appliance boxes to help. This is a somewhat high risk maneuver, but I have security and all coordianted movements mapped out step by step. It's literally a 15-20 sec drive there. I wouldn't recommended doing this to anyone. I'm operating under some special circumstances.

Stay safe.

Found my 6in Carbon Filter and other hood. Figured out a much better way to move the plants, extremely secure and easy. I'm going to take cuts from all three because I want to run my table ASAP. They are going to have to be trimmed back to fit under one light I think. They are pretty damn big. More later.

Move was easy last night. Girls couldn't have ever been in the line of sight of anyone. They are kind of stressed, but took it ok over all I think. Finishing putting everything together. I'll have to say there doesn't seem like there is going to be too much dialing in. It was pretty much plug n' play nominal growing conditions. Pictures to come later.

I love this room. Crisp, clean (hopefully with caffeine) and, in general, a Better Homes and Gardens version of a MJ Grow Room.

Take a bow. Really is an outstanding bit of DIY.

That's why we're here, for the time being. Plus rep to you SpasticGramps! Hell, even if you never rooted the first clone up there you've improved your home considerably. That said, I hope your A plan comes to fruition on schedule.:joint:

This is really nice, I'm picturing someone going through it in an open house years from now and saying "Hmm, this attic would perfect for growing weed."
