sorry guys, I'll try and get the pics uploaded later. My job really takes a lot of time, so it may not be until midnight or later tonight.

It's update time. I've been lurking in this thread (and a few others) and loving what I see. What seems obvious to me is:

1. Can't use these LED systems in height-restricted grows (most cabinets and some closet grows) due to the clearance requirements. Then again, all of life is a trade-off.

2. These units win the green derby hands down. From an energy consumption point of view it would appear these LEDs can bring home the bacon using around a third to a quarter of the power of HIDs. What the deal is compared to CFLs I have no idea; since mine are shitty 65 lumen/watt units, I suspect there will be excellent efficiencies, but you can get close to those CFLs and you won't be doing that with these LEDs.

3. Stealth is a big winner for LEDs. The days of cops shining IR detectors on your house and outlining your grow could indeed be numbered and there is something to be said for that benefit.

4. Cost is still an issue. I have a feeling that these units will get cheaper as more and more crowd the market to take on the new market share opportunity that indoor cultivators will present to a moribund industry that is looking to move beyond Light-Brite.

The proof is in the bud. What will these units produce? Which is better - the dialed in 126 watt or the more expensive 180 watt? Looks like the 126 watt "dial-a-yield" approach is going to be a player.

Sum it up; you got to stay tuned and see how Irish boy finishes his grow and what LED girl decides to provide next in terms of independent documentation. I see lots of people with lighting systems to test in this forum, so I think the real winner is...

Our community. What could be wrong with that?

Sorry for being late on the updates. These are pictures that should have been posted online this past Saturday, November 28. According to the description, these are the beginning of week 3, although Irish can correct me if I am wrong. Here they are:

Shocking. Three weeks and there be some great plants. Nodes are a bit much for my taste, but that's being awfully picky about something where there isn't that much to pick at.

Inspiring to say the least...

this is great. If the prices come down some I'll retire my T5's and throw these babies in the room.

ooohhhh.....

looking good, irish!!

about halfway home, right?

yup about half way. these strains are 8-9 week flowering times.
some reason the Hindu skunk on the 126w side is lagging on the bud growth. looks like its only on week 2 of flowering. the hindu skunk on the 180w side was looking like shit the whole time in veg, but its starting to bud up nice, still lagging also but not as much as the other hindu skunk. i hope its just a late bloomer because the hindu skunk on the 126w side is my biggest plant.

I'm no more qualified to judge these matters than the next fellow, but it appears to me that the 126 watt unit is kicking some serious booty.

What are your findings on this laddy?

i just looked at the girls right now. the hindu skunks are looking much better after i feed them last nite. things are looking frosty in their, all of the leaves have frost all ver them. i have been using that new additive called snow strom ultra, and i will say that $hit works great. i will use this now on. i am also going to use that gravity stuff to in a few weeks.

one thing i have notice between the two lights is the hairs are turning color faster on the 126w side then the 180w dont know why this is happing? but things are looking good.
