The only thing that an stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.
The problem with banning guns is that the criminal types don't obey laws ,laws like gun restrictions.
Most shootings are done by criminals with illegal guns .So taking guns away from lawbideing citizens only puts people in more danger.
Red states have less gun violence. Blue states with draconian, anti American gun laws have the most gun violence.
The actual effects of gun control are demonstrable.

this is largely due to incredibly crowded large cities and the poverty/drugs therein. you can jam only so many people (or other animals) tightly together before they start killing each other.
So you guys remember that story from Wisconsin about the guy who came to the Capitol Building looking for Tony Evers with a pistol, got arrested and came back with a rifle.
