 Yeah, I remember watching all of the Apollo missions as a little kid, and wanting to be an astronaut. Came close- turned into a space cadet lol! Good times!

Yeah Stoner I know what you mean... the funeral thing was the first time I decided to be a serial killer! Just kidding.... just kidding.

And as to S+H Green stamps, I still have boxes of them in the basement I found after my parents passed. I remember we got some pretty cool shit with them. We had a store you could go right in and turn them in.

Leisure suits. My dad had some. Even then I realized they looked ridiculous. Giant lapels, flare bottom pants, platform shoes, tight shirts, man that was some jacked up shit.

I could eat anything and not gain an ounce. Wanted to as I was a toothpick but just could not. hehe

Homegrown meant immature buds and leaves. In other words, crappy smoke. Now I get stuff out of my closet grow that I could only dream of then. Indicas were really uncommon back then and would have suited me better.

Video 'porn' was Benny Hill's Angels. Cal Worthington and his dog spot.

C and R clothiers and double knits. With prices this low people are always asking me, 'Eddie are you kidding'?

That leisure suit look wasn't really complete unless accompanied by an afro, white , black or brown

Going to the drive-in to see C&C's Up In Smoke as a double bill with Airplane!

Colombian Gold creeper weed ($35 per ounce).

Actual Thai stix.

Donald Duck blotter.

This new kind of weed called sinsemilla (1979/1980) ($10 per gram).

That time Hulk Hogan put Richard Belzer in a choke-hold causing him to pass out on camera.

When Dominoes Pizza used to promise that you'd have your pizza in 30 minutes or it would be free.

When Traci Lords appeared in Penthouse.

When teenage girls & young women wore trousers so tight you could literally see the outline of their vulvas (no joke!).

Parachute trousers.

When cocaine was $120 per gram.

The US Festival 1983.

When you could park at Hole in the Wall beach in Santa Cruz and stay there all night until dawn getting wasted and throwing things in the fire without getting a parking ticket by the cops.

When John Belushi died...
And John Lennon...

When the Watergate hearings were on telly all day, every weekday.

The Kent State shootings (4 dead in Oh-Hi-Oh).

When headshops were in the back of vinyl record stores.

Those who were born in the 30's, 40's, 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s are the last generation who played in the street. During our childhood we “walked” over a mile a day when we played & played “hide & seek” outside at night with no worries or fear of anything bad happening to us.

We are the first generation who played video games and the last to record songs off the radio onto a cassette tape. We learned how to program a VCR before anyone else, we were the first to play from Atari to Nintendo…We are the generation of Tom & Jerry, Looney Toons, & Captain Kangaroo. We traveled in cars without seat belts or air bags, lived without cell phones and caller ID. We did not have fax machines, flat screens, surround sound, I pods, Facebook, Twitter, computers or the internet, and through it all we had a great time.

When getting screwed was paying 12 bucks for a three finger lid as opposed to paying ten bucks for a five finger lid, in baggies without pleats.
