tonight was a busy night. after getting ridiculously sloshed at the club last night, i was very productive tonight. 8 more very rooted clones went into soil, veg room and flower room got fed and the mushis got put into their fruiting space (little side project
)

hey everyone ... happy 4th of july (weekend)! i know im headin to the district to watch some fireworks, i hope everyone else has an enjoyable weekend.
anyways, since i had the day off today and i was so damn hungover, i decided to chop the GB mom who is done flowering. Probably 1.5-2 oz off of her. Not too shabby since i usually just kill my moms in veg.
I also put about 3 ounces of sparkly trim and nug (1 oz trim, 2 oz nug) into a crock pot with some oil so that i can make some brownies tomorrow morn for the holiday. i am letting the oil "cook" for almost 24 hours so it should be legit oil by the end. i am using sequoia's brownie recipe where he doubles the oil, so it should be an interesting day to say the least.
other than that, things are moving along pretty well. i have been giving everyone straight pH'd h2o instead of feeding everytime because i was reading about someone running hempy and only feeding when they obviously need it. they all tend to show nute burn at the end of flower, so i figure i'll give this a shot. i'm well aware that too much nutes can definitely stunt growth.
For my records:
R5 = 45 days
R6 = 11 days
looks like we are gettin there for everyone, less than a month left! anyways, here are some pictures. enjoy the holiday weekend everyone!!

hello all,
hope everyone had a nice 4th of july. hopefully everyone blew up a little piece of america as their celebration to such a holiday.
my 4th of july was a mind blowing experience. i was in DC and i ate a bunch of brownies and i was so f-ed up from like 11am until 1am. i was seriously in outer space. i kept feeling like we were in europe and it was just wild. we saw fireworks on a roof top with a 360 view of fireworks going off on every part of the horizon. it was unbelievable.... oh ya, and the brownies were made with cannaoil that i put about 2 zips of bud with 2 zips of frosty trim into a crock pot and let it cook for 24hrs. then in the brownies i used double the oil suggested and although they are greasy, they are off the f-ing chain. a have a ton of oil left and a bunch of brownies left so things should go well for a while hehe.
anyways, back to the matter at hand. spent some much needed time with my girls since i have been neglecting them a lot lately due to festivities / being so busy and such. i fed them all nice, checked up on everything and made sure everyone was doing well. there is a pretty decent amount of room in the flower room now which is real nice so hopefully everything from top to bottom gets some good light.
We are at:
R5 = 47 days
R6 = 13 days

good news ... went for a little stroll and checked out my outdoor plants ... out of the original 6 test pilots that went out, we have:
1 DP doing wonderful
1 GB doing very well
1 PS doing pretty nice (a little bug damage)
2 DP and 1 PS pretty much dead. Looks like an animal went digging at those 3 sites and the more i look around that area, I am thinking I planted in a "deer nest" (not sure if that exists). I found one of the PS and it had been uprooted and looked like it was trying to re-root in a new spot, but i'm not overly hopeful. The other 2 are completely gone.
The DP that looks great is about 3 ft tall, side branching and a beautiful green (at least in the light of my cell phone). The GB is right near her and is doing pretty well, it just had some issues with some invasive vines (they are EVERYWHERE where i am, it's unbelievable) The PS is in another spot ... a great spot ... although I think it gets a lot less sun light and it appears some bugs have gotten to it. I will probably throw a couple more in that spot but the rest will be near the good DP and a couple of new spots. I even have a very "daring" spot that i think will go great if I can make it work. Tons of sun, but possibility of exposure, so I may have to pay some more attention.
Anyways, I know where the rest of the plants (about 15ish) are going and hopefully they will go in maybe tomorrow night, if not ... next week. Most are rooted and ready, it's just all about the weather (and balls) to deal with this shit.
SO, that's my update. Maybe someday I will snap some pics, but I get REAL scared of the flash and exposure and such. Even tonight, a chopper flew overhead and i could have sworn it was shining it's light on me, but it moved on. My heart was beating just a tad at that point ...

hey everyone,
sorry for the lack of updates, things have been crazy. tonight, the last of the clones go outside to their spot and then the shut down begins (slowly).
I actually already turned off the bubble cloner and cleaned that all out. It will get packed away tomorrow. The veg room has 2 bonsai moms (just made) a durban poison clone and a powerskunk. Decided to drop the gigabud and afghani since i just feel there is a lot better stuff out there to run. hopefully this week (probably next) i will rip down the veg room and just make a mini stealth one to preserve moms until my move. the flower room comes down in 3 ish weeks.
i plan on pulling the rest of R5 in about a week (probably next monday). i have to do some traveling this weekend so its possible they come down before i leave, but that will definitely depend on triches. R6 will come down August 4th or so, depends on whats goin on.
im starting to look forward to a less stressful environment for a month or so. just need a little time to relax and chill out, enjoy the fruits of my labors.
anyways, things are going pretty well. heading outside tonight for a couple of hours, hopefully will get some good work done without any more deer or choppers around. i am even going to attempt to snap some pictures (maybe). oh and for my records:

hey everyone, sorry about my lack of attention on here lately ... i went on a little vacation and before and after that things were REALLY crazy, between work and home. but alas, i am back. and the beach was fucking great ... i have to admit though, this grow is winding down so there probably won't be a ton more updates. But of course I will be around until the new spot is up and ready
Last night I took down the last of the Durban Poison and PowerSkunk. 4 plants (maybe 5?) and they were all in pretty good shape. I didn't get around to trimming them until today and that was a mistake. WAY easier to trim stuff when it's fresh and not all limp (i guess?). Anyways, tonight I took the time and did what I had to do and got things trimmed up nice. It should be a decent pull for what it is. I let them go the full 9 weeks (63 days) and the DP especially looks really amber. I like doing that with Sativa strains though; let them go a little longer for the more couch lock with head high.
So, what is left is 7 gigabuds sitting in the flower room. The are at day 29 of flower and will probably be coming down around Aug 4. I hope to have the flower room disassebled and a new/smaller veg box built by the end of that week. The veg room only has 1 PS mom and 3 DP bonsais. They will remain on "pause" with continuous cutting back and a limited amount of CFLs. Just until the move because I want to run these plants in better conditions to see the difference.
Outdoor update: all 15 that I put out last week are still alive. Some look better than others. There is evidence of slug issues so I put out some Sluggo or whatever it is, which says it's safe for plants and animals, just not slugs. Hopefully that works out. The one Durban Poison that has been out at the best spot the longest is getting quite big. It's about chest high right now and becoming bushier. I was curious though, is it too late to top her? I'd rather have a bushy plant than a tall plant at this point.
Basically in my spots I have 18 total plants, some healthier than others. I really hope my big DP makes it, that would be a real bonus. Either way, I will be happy if 10 make it to harvest.

Quick outdoor update ... i will get some pics up tonight of the indoor
On Friday I was able to sneak into my outdoor area during the day and really check things out (not in the dark for the first time). Things are looking GREAT. The big Durban Poison has started showing some flowers (not sure if this is early?) and is about 5 feet tall right now with many strong side shoots. There are 3 others that went out originally ... 1 gigabud that got smashed by a branch and although is still technically a live, it is struggling. Not a ton of hope there. 1 powerskunk at a different spot is also growing ok, but seems stunted for some reason. It appears that all the powerskunks are not enjoying this soil for whatever reason. There is also a final powerskunk that is in a "deer den" that i honestly can't even check on. Everytime I try to go in there at night there are definitely animals in there and I don't really want to fuck around with that.
The rest of the plants that went out a couple of weeks ago have all appeared to have rooted well and are starting to really take off. They are probably at about 1.5 ft and I am guessing they will finish around 3-4ft.
Add to it that we FINALLY got some good rain so they are probably much happier. I have decided to do my best to supplement their watering the best I can from the stream they are next to, but everytime I go in there, I risk exposure and discovery, so it's a delicate balance. I try not to visit very often, usually at night or during the work day when there are very few people around.
I have also started thinking about adding some nutes to the next few waterings. I have a ton of left over FF soil nutes that I could throw in there, I am just a little worried that organic nutes will attract animals. Thus far the anti-deer / rabbit spray seems to be working well, but I'm still not sure if I should risk it. Thoughts anyone?
Any input on all this outdoor talk would be appreciated ... very new at that and thinks are much harder to predict / control out there.

have you thought about caging the plants with chicken wire? I've heard of folks painting the cage black before installing it....then you could add the nutes and not worry about the pests. I'm going to give a few to the great outdoors in the spring. I have a bunch of seeds that are not feminized that I could use....how long till the new spot is set up?

Can't cage the plants. I am in a very urban environment and these things are sort of just "growing under our noses". The point is that they blend in with everything else ... so cages are kind of out. I just went down there tonight and they look great, gave them all some supplemental water ... I try to every time I go down. All the smaller ones are really starting to blow up now and I seem to have taken care of whatever slug problem there was. I actually brought my camera down and I was too nervous to take pics, so I'm going to have to wait for a day during the week.
If you have extra seeds, might as well throw them out there and see what you can do. If you have some good spots with decent native soil, it doesn't take a ton of effort to get some decent bud (I hope!).
New spot will be set up and running around Sept 7th or so
. I will have a tiny stealth veg room running the whole time to keep some genetics, so I can start up right away. The issues that could push back the time though: Proper building of the room (i really don't want to half ass it), popping new seeds and of course: MONEY.
I guess this is a good time to discuss my plans. I think I'm just going to go with a 1000W lamp in a big air cooled reflector. The area should be about 4x4, with 1x4 split into 2 levels for veg and moms and, 3x4 for flower. You think the 1000W is big enough for 3x4? Or two 600s? Either way it would be air cooled. I'm moving into DWC and hopefully RDWC eventually, but I may actually stick with hempy for a bit to try out the new strains and save some loot for all my new gear. I kind of have a lot of seeds to try out, and I want to fine some favorite mothers (and fathers) before I run huge buckets of stuff. I was also curious if anyone had an threads about mounting fans / silencers and carbon filters ... that would be very helpful.

If you have some good spots with decent native soil, it doesn't take a ton of effort to get some decent bud (I hope!).
New spot will be set up and running around Sept 7th or so
. I will have a tiny stealth veg room running the whole time to keep some genetics, so I can start up right away. The issues that could push back the time though: Proper building of the room (i really don't want to half ass it), popping new seeds and of course: MONEY.I guess this is a good time to discuss my plans. I think I'm just going to go with a 1000W lamp in a big air cooled reflector. The area should be about 4x4, with 1x4 split into 2 levels for veg and moms and, 3x4 for flower. You think the 1000W is big enough for 3x4? Or two 600s? Either way it would be air cooled. I'm moving into DWC and hopefully RDWC eventually, but I may actually stick with hempy for a bit to try out the new strains and save some loot for all my new gear. I kind of have a lot of seeds to try out, and I want to fine some favorite mothers (and fathers) before I run huge buckets of stuff. I was also curious if anyone had an threads about mounting fans / silencers and carbon filters ... that would be very helpful.

this is all gigabud. real nice looking nug when they get the proper attention ... REALLY short flowering, just really fuelly almost, a little too much for me. debating running it again right off the bat to start to get some quick smoke ... don't really have a mom tho but might try to reveg
... i have an extra 4 weeks in there i can just let it roll, see what happens, might as well, right? i'll have to look into it ...

BTW - those girls look yellow because I started a flush a little early ... trying to give them ONLY what they need. Kind of an experiment, so I am just seeing what happens. So far, this is the best I've seen the GB perform even if it's been eating it's own fan leaves, so I'm pretty happy with a light feeding for them. On another note ... they NEVER reacted to too much nutes. They eat a lot for sure ...

sort of hitting the end of the road here for this log. pulled down the last crop tonight and even tore down the flower room and packed it all up. so much more closet space now!
the veg room still exsists with 1 power skunk, 3 durban poisons and 1 now re-vegging gigabud. i will update things on the re-veg of that and the bonsai moms, but much less regularly.
if i can get my camera out to my outdoor patch (safely) i will put some of those pics up here also.
otherwise, i guess this is it until the new place! Going to stick with hempys but I am going to automate the watering and draining to waste (DTW Hempy?). i will start a new log then, but please feel free to leave comments or messages here too!!
